- Today I am sharing 10 Dollar Tree ideas to enhance, personalize and create filler for Operation Christmas Child! It's my favorite time of year to get creative and come up with ideas for this year and next! Dollar Tree has a lot of items that can be used in different ways to make your boxes even more special! These are all easy to do and can be done for one box or a group packing party! So come along and let's see what I did. I will also show you a few new fun finds and share my haul at the end! I pack WOW filler packs using the building block cases, hot wheel cases and the pink fashion doll cases too. When I find them, I also use the purple doll closets for WOW filler. Two of the Forever Friends dolls fit in them well along with clothes and accessories. I love doing large filler like this (perhaps more than filling boxes).
I love the purple doll closets too! I did a video short on those last year. Unfortunately I haven’t found them of late!!! Wow! Maureen! Sounds like you are doing a phenomenal job in creating filler! I love doing it too!

Wonderful video, Denise ! Thanks for showing how to make the bags. I'm going to do those for sure. I have lots of marbles from 5 Below that need bags. The doll with the wigs is too funny !! Also, thanks for sharing the popsicle puzzles. Never tried that and I already have the sticks. TFS
You are so welcome! Marble bags will be smaller but just as easy to make with these instructions!!!! You can match the material to your theme!😂 Love crafting for OCC. It just makes me feel like I’m adding a touch of me inside each box!!!

Love making popsicle puzzles. They are super simple even for non crafties like me 🤣. Aren’t those fruit plushies adorable? I bought the orange one yesterday. Still haven’t found the XO WADDLE though🤣. Ugh im totally jealous. Your DT has a lot of Halloween items, I’ve found nothing in mine. The Barbie clothes are so cute! I also bought the artist one, too bad it wasn’t out for my horse art box. Did you see the firefighter outfit? It’s adorable! Super cute new items coming out. The WIGS are hysterical. Of course love all the bags you make!TFS my friend!
I haven’t seen the firefighter set yet! I’ll be on the lookout! Only a few more days though until I’m home bound for awhile! Uggg. It’s going to kill me! DT has had some nice new items of late! Love this video!! Thanks , Denise!! I'm so glad you showed how to make those drawstring bags. Is the cording from DT? I think the drink stuffies, stationary, and imagery is supposed to be bubble tea. Oh, I love that monster coloring book!! The axolotl plush are sooo cute.
Bubble tea… hmmm. Would have never guessed that!😂 I get the cording for my bogs mostly at Walmart in the craft aisle. Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and Joanne fabrics are also great sources!

I saw them so I bought them. The red, blue and tan ones fit well. I wasn't able to get the brown and black (The bigger of the 5) to fit any of the dolls.

I just know we have a lot more things for boxes this year than we ever had in past years. But I’m always open for new ideas! ❤❤❤

I will be making popsicle stick puzzles as well. The only difference from your design is that I will add another picture on the back so the child will have two puzzles to solve. One picture will be a photograph. The other will be quite different, perhaps a drawing or even a design burned into the wooden sticks. That will make it easier for the child to know which pieces go with each puzzle.

These are great craft projects, Denise! Simple and inexpensive, all from DT. I always loved your puzzles. Beautiful wire bracelets and bead kits. Thanks for sharing how to create your baggies. I've have yet to use the iron ons from DT, I need to! Love the lego kits - I do something similar. My favorite is your cord kits. The Hot Wheels containers are so fun. Same, my DTs never have the good socks. Great haul in the end! Great items you picked up. Always thanks for sharing!
