- Hello everyone, in this episode we meet Jose and his very clean and simple Acura Tl. Even though is the base model, Jose has done tasteful mods that give it the appearance of a Tl Type S. He has owned a few Acura's but this one seems to be his favorite one of them all. I hope you appreciate the video and leave him a positive comment. Thank you.

This thing is so clean that it makes me wanna keep my tl and save up for a type s instead of a wrx. Thing is soooo clean.
Its nice i have one aswell. But id go for a wrx if i had the money. Tl is great but doesnt have as much aftermarket support like subbies do.

I also have a 06 tl AT I keep it stock most likely just a sri and will buy the type s maybe 2021 the paddle shifters and back up cam 3.5 and transmission are better.

Damn, this is really nice. I have an '05 Base 6MT also in anthracite (original owner) and am about to perform a number of mods on it. This is something to aspire to. Incredible, man.

Those wheels 30 offset with brembos can’t be gotta be a 22 to clear the brembo front brake caliber

Was driving behind a new TLX and the guy Cut off or deleted the X. I wish my 06 was a manual , do the manual cars all come with the nicer Brembo style front brakes ?

U just need certain spacer adapter plate for evo brembo calipers. Think they use a factory rotor from the evo too. So pad has correct contact patch with rotor and not hanging off the edge like ive seem with someones TL in form.

I know I am late to this party of the video but I have had a 2008 TL Type S with the Auto and not manual but while these cars look great and all and have a lot of potential they are very expensive to get a lot of power out of just like the 350Z or 370Z due to the TLs and Z's being non turbo and highly tunes from the factory if you understand me. When I say highly tunes I don't mean it's tuned to be a super beast but the way Honda/Acura tuned or built the Acura TL Type S motor from the factory you will have to go forced induction to get a lot of power out of it but it won't be cheap and neither will it be cheap if you try to go all motor HP. Just like the VQs from the 350/370s all motor HP increases are few and far between and super expensive but of you want to build a TL by all means build that shit but just be prepared. They are not cheap to mess with aftermarket parts wise.

Does the 2005 Acura TL come in a type s package? I bought a 2005 and it’s automatic but has a type s badge on the back
You most likely bought the auto type S man.
I think type s was only for the 07-08 models
So does the 07-08 bumper fit the 05? Or did u have to get the the type s bumper?

senor215 yes but only on the type S 3.5, I have the base TL 3.2
abraham estrada 04-06 (not 100% sure about 07-08) TL’s 6 speeds have brembos... what year is yours and is it a manual?

If it’s automatic walk away common transmission issues
07 and 08 didn’t have transmission issues
Suave House just depends, got mines at 36k miles now 190k miles. No issues. Only probable issues is the Bluetooth draining batteries. As long as I keep driving and not storing I’m fine. Automatic transmission you have to change the fluids every 50k miles
How hard to fit the 07 08 front bumper? Any modding?

William Poth you have to cut into the bumper. Its not super difficult easier to do if you take bumper off
