Unlike most fighters today, he had class and never badmouthed or showed ill will towards any opponent. He didn't over celebrate even after scoring a KO and kept his composure like Rocky. Even snarls like him too when he punches.
Tommy was a nightmare in the ring. RIP Champ.
James Tillis said Earnie Shavers is the hardest puncher he's fought but he clearly forgot about Tommy Morrison.
He went the distance with Mike Tyson, so I don’t think he was the same fighter at this point. Still, Morrison did what he was supposed to do and not everyone did it to Tillis, even at this stage of his career.

Ernie Shaver's power was kind of overrated.I've noticed that the boxers who say that Shaver's was the hardest puncher they've ever faced also beat him.

Imagine how Tyson fans would have reacted had Tyson been able to dispose of James Quick Tillis this easily and quickly...

@@jaystern1044I hate to ruin your immediate fantasy but he never had HIV. There's court records to back this up. The test used on him doesn't even detect HIV and the company that made the test said so. When he died of a heart attack there was no signs of any infectious disease INCLUDING HIV

U see all these fighters looking like while scary they look like their face fell on the floor and a blind guy put it back on for them 😂but Tommy Morrison just so dam good looking I can see y he was a a dirty little boy with the ladies bet he couldn't move without being mobbed by the ladies I would be right there with them he was gorgeous it was such a shame for how his trajectory took him in life he could have gone on to be a huge star after sports like the rock something like that think he just needed a good woman unfortunately I wasnt born until 85 but I am ironically in a relationship with someone same age as he would be now 17 years tomorrow actually so it isnt that unbelievable God bless u Tommy u have ur wings now baby ur sons have so much of u in them keep ur eye on them now from heaven love always from UK xxx
Impressive performance by Morrison, but Tillis was shot at this point. Against Tyson, Tillis was lighter, faster, and much sharper. That version of Tillis may very well have beat Morrison.
I don't think so but it would have been an interesting fight for sure.

@@edwardyoung8575 Well, Tillis took all that Tyson could dish out. He probably could have taken Morrison into the later rounds, where Tommy usually got gassed. And Tillis had the skills to nail Morrison.
@presence5426 well he did stop Razor Roddick in i think 8th round? Razor was really good
@@edwardyoung8575 Razor was on the downside of his career and had a glass jaw. Tillis was tough and had a really good chin when he fought Tyson.
