    Thanks Brian! You are the best. I had a blast with you at the event and making the video. Yes, it is expensive! I'm so thankful that I did my research and when I found the camper I wanted I put a deposit down when it was significantly less expensive. Everything has gone up and shipping for parts took forever over covid. I waited two years, but it's a big improvement over my little tent! :) And again, great company and customer service!

      You're a star, we need you on the channel more often!
      I'm with you, you get what you pay for. The fact that you locked in early gave you a complete steal. Although it's out of my price range, your electrical system alone cost more in parts in my trailer cost off the lot. The build quality, luxury, and technology make this one of the nicest trailers have ever seen.
      Thanks again for taking the time to make this video with us, you rock !

      If I had $80-something grand to spare, i would buy one. Why? It's the height. The popup roof is where it should be! It's not so low that there are canvas walls flapping loudly in the wind at night but it's not so high that it won't fit in a garage or average storage shed. And even better, there is an actual bathroom inside. These people did their research and homework. I don't mind the kitchen and fridge being outside as 90% of Australian travel trailers are designed this way. Plus it allows family cookouts without people crowding the kitchen, fighting over who gets what. And I would not be surprised if there were a few Aussies on the design team.

    Woof - this one's tough. Beautiful, yes, but $85K where I live can buy you at least 5-10 acres and an Amish cabin on skids AND a used teardrop. But I will say that for a woman who appears to be on her own, this thing makes it super-easy on her in every way, which could be a very good thing.

    Interesting, we have been overlanding since 2019 pulling a t@b 400 BDL and while this trailer is impressive as well as expensive, one thing we’ve learned over the years is eventually you are going to have to camp in bad weather. High winds so no awning, rain so cooking outside would be challenging, mosquitos and bugs, yes all the things that come with overlanding and dare I say camping. So personally, we appreciate the fact on those “not so good days”, there are no bad days camping, we like the ability to get into our rig, prepare a meal, relax and be protected from the elements. As I’m sure this couple knows, the pop up needs to be cleaned/wiped down to avoid mold. All that said, it’s still a nice camper. Wish them the best of luck on their adventures.

    • @ajf5823

      And a T@B is half the price!

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  7 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely something to be said about that. While I prefer cooking outside 99% of the time, there's certainly a bunch of times that I at least want to make the morning coffee inside, especially winter camping.
      I just worked on a T@B 400 bd yesterday, really nice camper!

    Brian that is an amazing camper. Every accessory is well thought out and functional. True off the grid performance and all-weather trailer for sure. I am adding this to my dream list. My Bushwacker is getting me out there but I see this in my future as I get older and need the right amenities like a shower and bathroom : ). I fear Sam Ault would find something to upgrade on this thing with his oven on the camper he has. Biscuits are great for camping. It's probably the only thing I would change. They had the ARB awning room on their website as an accessory. Love it, love it, love it.

      It's an excellent design but I'd like to point out it's nothing groundbreaking. Having travel trailers with slide out kitchens/fridges and a popup roof is quite common in Australia. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Australians helped design this. I'm not surprised she had to stuff the cargo spaces to keep items from sliding around. When you use a slideout kitchen, it frees up massive amounts of storage. FYI, the Australians like to add massive awnings on theirs with velcro/zip-on walls to enclose the kitchen area. That's what all the huge storage spaces are for. It takes about 8 minutes to set up two awnings with 2 walls for each one with just one person. Pretty quick. The only thing I don't feel comfortable about is that most of them need tension lines and stakes to keep them stable in very windy places. Still, it has an advantage: you can eat outdoors without being attacked by mosquitos as some of these brands have mesh net walls.

In 2019 they started at $2,850 I think, and after a few add-ons mine came to $3,500 including tax. I don't think they even make a 4x8 anymore. Of course, it's very basic, but it serves my needs just fine. The tongue weight is around 120 pounds, with an aluminum storage box mounted in front across the tongue.
