      It is pretty nice to see the extra amenities in the standup room! He did a great job, customizing his rig as well.

    I'm with Richard on this one! The key to an interior bathroom and kitchen is don't use them unless you absolutely have to - like at 4AM.

      Haha... this is true. I would say over half of the campers I tour on the road, say that they never use the bathroom, period. I think the 4 AM rule is a good one!

    I own an FD. And I love the imagination and creativity of my fellow owners. Things I'd never think of.

      I'm with you, it's really nice to see how a bunch of people set their campers up. You're always gonna learn something new.

    Two really awesome people!! Helped so much with the meet up! I learned so much sharing how to cook a pig and do some low country boil! Everyone should have a family member like these two! I hope to see them again this July!!

      Two great people! I'm glad someone was able to rep the BW plus at the boil!

    The Bushwhacker Sr. He is resourceful; this is a good rig for his needs. FYI bought a couple of stickers from your store and love them.

      Although it's less capable of going remote places, the extra amenities sure seem nice!

    I looked at the 15 and 17 about a year ago. Dealer really wanted to get rid of them, the price was well below retail. But, the build quality was shoddy. Black tank drain was too exposed, I would have broken it eventually.
    The big negative was lack of dedicated outdoor kitchen, I wasn’t sure how to attach an awning. I’m glad to see someone pull it off.
    My 12 was the more versatile choice, appears to be better built, and better for off pavement. It is good to see a real world review.
    Thanks Brian.

      Being involved in some of the Bushwhacker plus groups definitely gives me all about the trailer. I think it's an excellent price point for the amenities you get, but the amount of people that have serious problems is scary. I think you could get by if you're handy, but I steered clear as well.

    Looks good except I would not put the batteries in with the propane because of the danger of explosion.

      Although, for the time being, I consider myself a tiny camper enthusiast, I could see a day where this stand up would be essential!

    I am wondering if this Gentleman's trailer is manufactured a bit better than the previous ones as Forest River owns Braxton Creek now?

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  4 месяца назад +1

      Over the years, I have seen some improvement and consistency with the builds. Overall, it is still a discount camper. I can't say I notice a profound difference since the manufacturing switched to FR.

    How big does a teardrop have to be not a small camper anymore

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  4 месяца назад +1

      Lol, I'm not sure there's an answer to that question. With overall weight and tongue weight, you get to the point where you need a truck or very solid SUV. if you're still able to pull the camper with the jeeps and light duty trucks, I guess you can still consider it small.
