Software, and camera technique.. what you need to do it mount the camera on tripod and keep it very still (must not move) I then walked in did the sequence on one side of the shot then moved and did the sequence on the other side - and then stopped the camera afterwards.. When you edit you then put the two clips on top of each other (in separate timelines) and crop the top clip to half way and you should get a split shot effect :)
@RedSpectrumPictures I know although I think I read somewhere saying panasonic are looking to realise the next generation of HD filming on their GH3 model but that will be next year or the year after.

@RedSpectrumPictures It is cant fault it, its great value for money, should be good although I wonder how many changes and additional features will be on it or whether it will just be like the 550D was to the 600D with little change
@wilmo1231 I know nothing about the rumours, but what I have heard is that the megapixels fro the photos will just be higher, and how can they improve 1080p video? they cant :)
@meowitslucy Thanks Lucy :) you should! canons are better for filming than nikons, while still being really good for taking pictures and they have a bigger range of lenses and accessories :)

Its a great camera, definitely worth purchasing in my opinion, I have heard rumours of a T4i coming out already :)
