Negro League statistics officially added to MLB record books | Dan Patrick Show | NBC Sports

Outrageous to have done this. Wtf is wrong with baseball. Two different leagues altogether.
This action strengthens Baseball. People who see life as a Zero sum game would disagree.
accept it
COPE 🤣😂🤣😂
If decades of racist exclusion weren't seen by people as an asterisk to statistics previously, then new inclusion statistics shouldn't be seen as an asterisk by people currently.
It's a different league. They don't belong in there at all.
excellent point, never thought of it that way
@@fredhall6525 I agree. They should have their own records, and MLB should value them, but to combine them is incorrect.
@@fredhall6525keep crying🤣
@ymatktpk11 keep crying haha😂😂😂😂
I heard he hit 250 HR 's in a stickball league I hope they count
Hey guys, let's combine the NPB stats with the MLB while we're at it too! Why not?
Important history for sure.
African history? LMAO
Rewritten.
@@fredhall6525 you mad ? lmaoooo
One of the more absurd consequences of this is that Joe Nuxhall is no longer the youngest major league player in history. That's now Roy Campanella. Joe Nuxhall was 15 years, 10 months, and 10 days old when he pitched for the Reds in 1944. Roy Campanella was somewhere around 15 years, 7 months when he appeared for the Washington Elite Giants in 1937. If the leagues were properly integrated that never would have happened. There would have been no need to fill a roster slot with some talented high school kid you heard some rumors about.
There's no clear evidence that the Babe did or didn't call his shot. Same with Josh hitting one out of Yankee Stadium.
It's about time, this doesn't demean anything that the other players like Ruth, Gehrig, Di Maggio, Williams, Ripken, Mantle did they were all great players. This just lets all people know about those that loved the game. And due to the color of their skin were not allowed to play in MLB.
Y’all mad because y’all MLB hero’s weren’t the Goats that you thought they were.
I've corrected your grammar for you while keeping the vernacular. You should consider going back to school. Here you go: Y'all are mad because y'all's MLB heroes weren't the G.O.A.T.s that you thought they were.
@@ymatktpk11
I'm not mad.
You're both wrong.
This is nothing but political correctness gone further amok. None of this fixes a thing. It rewrites and fictionalizes what happened.
Momma said!
💯
May be the only sport they may not be fake outraged about is hockey and that’s because their not enough out reach for black people in that sport which is more likely done on purpose !!
This is like the "rock and roll" hall of fame inducting country singers lol.
More like society switching to calling indigenous people native American instead of Indians. America's dark history of lies and ignorance is finally being addressed.
Those two music genres aren't separated by race...
They will over inflate the stats
They should have changed it to "The Music Hall of Fame" years ago. Some of the Rock artists that's inducted weren't "Rock n Roll" singers.
What is it like to be so ignorant?
Beautiful 🙌🏿
Welcome to the Upside Down that is DEI. They were 2 completely different leagues that didn’t play each other.
cope
You clearly didnt watch the segment. So hush.
Ok gramps settle down. They weren't allowed to 'play each other'.
So were the american and national leagues. Did not play each other until 1997. By your logic, both leagues should have seperate records since they never played each other. Dunst.
You can't re-write history, Ted Williams was the last man to hit over .400, Josh Gibson's .466 batting avg does not count nor did it ever happen in MLB. It is all lies.
3:59 - 4:36 go ahead and listen to that again
Take yo blood pressure meds gramps.
@@allen7986 Do you love lies and liars and fraudulent narratives?
cope
@@allen7986 Josh Gibson never played mlb so his records don’t count in the MlB. This is easy for anyone that’s not completely stupid or driven by racial grievance politics.
The Babe did not call his own shot. Now that's shocking 😯😯😯
Hi there did Josh Gibson
Thank god dude tells the true story of the “point”. If Babe would of pointed, he would of been hit in the head with the next pitch. The pitcher that gave up that HR said as much in interviews.
Excellent, so much history lost history.
It’s not mlb stats though…
How did it take after 1947 for non-whites to excel? It only took four years to see the likes of Willie Mays, and seven years to see Hank Aaron.
Because mlb was racist and didn't allow blacks or Hispanic to play in the league @@Deerhunter178
They've already added non-mlb stats.
It's different history. It's their history. Combining them is disrespectful to both blacks and whites.
Crap.
You just crapped online?
@@allen7986 no, mlb crapped on its own legacy.
@@Lane-wf2er sorry gramps. Go nappy.
@@allen7986 get a job.
