Christmas in Mexico, posadas, piñatas, ponche, buñuelos, enchiladas, posole, campfires, music oh and more ponche. And getting ready for Baby Jesus. Goyo and Hilary, many kids in Mexico might get gifts on Christmas but in many places they get them January 6th, when the three Reyes Magos arrive to meet Baby Jesus and shower him with gifts. Nice videos as always.

We really celebrate Chrismast, we actually start celebrating at the begining of December when "the posadas" start with tradicional mexican food, candies and piñatas, then in december 24th all the families get together to wait Chrismast and the hug each other, the party keeps and in the next day everyone gets together again to eat (recalentado) Chrismast festivities keep until Febrary 2th when everyone eats Tamales with the family.

Recommendation for traveling! Go to La Sierra Norte de Puebla, Cuetzalan, Youhualichan, Zacatlán, Chignahuapan, very different, not packed with tourist. Chignahuapan is a place dedicated to fabricate all the Christmas ornaments, specially those made with glass, tree glass balls of all sizes, there are tons of workshops (and I have take them all the way to Scandinavia, nobody believes me, when I tell them they are from Mexico!!!) Zacatlán is a mountain town known because they have the Centenario Factory, the factory of the monumental clocks and El Valle de Piedras Encimadas, Cuetzalan a beautiful town in the Sierra, an indigenous town, that produces textiles, coffee, has amazing nature and culture, and Yohualichan, an archelogical site from the Totonaca culture, very similar to El Tajín, but in small.

Try the view from the restaurant with outdoor deck and bar at the Majestic on the corner much closer to the cathedral. The immensity of the cathedral is awesome!! It is great place for breakfast too. The most elegant and expensive and over the top service and diversity of Mexican food is El Cardenal close by the Zocalo. Very popular on Sunday when not much else is open. I would recommend taking a native speaker or someone who is knowledgeable of obscure and more exotic Mexican food. Unforgettable experience.

Muestren lo maravilloso de mi bello país. Me gustaría que a futuro pudieran hacer videos de la basta y bella riqueza cultural de mi bello Veracruz. Existe tanto material que les tomaría algo de tiempo recorrer lo bello que es mi estado. Saludos!
