Thank you!! I have always favoured knitting over crochet because of the beauty of cables. Thank you for your tutorials and educating me that cables are possible in crochet!! I can’t wait to dig out my long-stored hooks to give this a try😊!

Wow, thank you so much for breaking down the rows on this pattern! I was directed here from a pattern on allaboutami.com and all 3 of the videos for this braid pattern are a God-send. I have subscribed and know where I will be coming to learn more cables/braids! The first time I attempted cables (literally years ago), I was so confused by the crossing over and under that I never tried it again. I've finally decided to try it again and I don't think I'd have been able to do it without these videos. Thank you!!!!

The video ends saying we should repeat from Row 4 and the link to the pattern doesn't seem to work. But really it should either be Row 3 or Row 5, so I tried both. I think the cable looks nicer repeating from Row 5. But when you finish, I believe you should repeat Row 3 and 4 and then bind off to mirror the start of the piece. Otherwise, this video was great, super clear and helpful to figure out how to do this lovely cable stitch. THANK YOU!

There are times I watch loads of instructional crochet videos trying to get ideas for what I feel like making. I was sent by link from Persia Lou's web site in one of her patterns. I'll be honest, at first I wasn't all that thrilled about having to watch 3 separate videos to learn this braid. But! I have to tell you I was wrong. I really like the break down into the 3. If I'm uncertain of a step, I can pretty much go right to it because of the way you have them broken down. Very nice! Also, you've done an excellent job with the instruction. There's no making us set here and listen to a long introduction by you explaining all kinds of things I may not even be interested in. And you did it right by not making us sit and watch you continue and complete the row. Your editing is right on target. KUDOS to you! :) I am impressed! REALLY! There are many people who should watch how you do your videos! :) And.....thank you! For taking the time to make your videos. I know how time consuming it is. It takes a lot of patience.

I just watched the Bethinx1 crotcheting cables videos, and being a novice cable crocheter, her instructions are very easy for me to do and the pattern is also very nice. I will be making this for my new price and nephew for Christmas! Thank you everyone for helping me in my journey to try something new. XOXO

Thank you so much for this helpful tutorial! I found an instruction for a beautiful beanie that uses this pattern and tried my best to follow it (I'm not very experienced at crocheting), but I couldn't figure out how exactly this is done by just reading the description and looking at pictures. Your video helped me understand the technique so much better! You've done an excellent job explaining how this works. Now I can finally work on my project without getting frustrated about it. Again, thank you! :)

hi Beth Thanks for your great video! could you tell me what you mean or what it means by "single plaited" what would be say a double plaited in contrast to the other? thanks a bunch Debby. I'm going to use this stitch around the base of a hat.

See the patterns on my page. there is a double plaited square. it is basically 2 braids with an opposite twist. I did not name these. I used the common term in knitting for a similar looking pattern. www.freewebs.com/bethintx/cablecrochetsquares.htm

I have finished row 7 and I am ready top repeat 4-7. I am unable to complete repeat row 5. I am either reading the pattern wrong . It's difficult to explain, but row 5 is way off. Anyone else had trouble with this row? Any help is appreciated.

I would be better able to help if I can see what you are doing. You can email me bethintx (at) gmail(dot)com and send pictures. (be sure to replace the symbols in the email address and leave no spaces.) The email thing is to keep email scrapers from finding my address and spamming me!
