Wow! I used to go to Oulton Park in the mid 1980s to watch the XR Challenge, these cars used to get smashed to bits because they were two a penny! The XR Challenge only finished a couple of years ago to be replaced by the fiesta ST 150 challenge 😎
@@derekfleming3095They all just say Ford Fiesta on MOT check never say the exact model, it’s like if you was to search for a new ST it’ll only say fiesta
Wow ! Had so many of these back in the day and mk2’s but mk1’s a far better car and engine imo, cross flow miles better than cvh……how I wish I’d kept them 🤦🏻♂️ this one’s a stunner credit to the owner/restorer !!!
DVLA shows it is registered as a Ford Fiesta. No mention of XR2. As it’s a complete rebuild has a basic Fiesta been converted to an XR2? If so, it’s still a stunning car but not an original XR2.
How odd is this if ford produced this now it would fly off the shelves. Its like hifi , the 100 pound one has got to sound £100 the £200 has to sound better
My dad had one of these, nothing but engine problems, why over pay for a over hyped car that isn't worth the money. It's nice but really over inflated nostalgia.
Looks so much better than most of the current small cars even after all the years.
she’s a winner 👍🏻🔥💯💪🏻
Amazing restoration, gorgeous. Credit to its owner 😊
Whao what an example, lovely red on black color.
What an absolute beauty! ❤
A masterclass in Classic car restoration, stunning.
That will be a great buy for someone.
What a stunning looking MK1 Fiesta, nice
What a stunning looking car. Much rather have that XR2 than most of today's cars.
What a beautiful car wow

Wow what a great restoration of a great little car well done to the person who done it will last for years!😊
Nice job ! A lot of work has gone into this project. Well done who done this…
Wow she’s a stunner
I had one I restored and no expense spared, that one looks good but it isn’t mint but taking nothing away from it it’s as good as you’ll find.
Wow!!!
Had identical one in 1985 great little car
I want it
What a Bute wish it was mine 😢👍👍🏴🦊
My first car ❤ but in Caspian blue
This was mine in the 90s had a crumpled right front wing, snapped exhaust bracket and 4 inch pipe through
Amazing. I wish hey 😢
My first car
If only I could afford it 😢
Stunning. That will get close to 20k
U couldn't restore that for £20k to that standard should be at least 25k if any less than 20k it's a bargain
@@MegaReddevil71 last one that was that good went for 16k and that one is not any better
@@derekfleming3095 see what happens at auction

20k all day long....if only !

period radio would of been nice
What is the estimated price on it paul.
Mirror adjuster mini lever on the drivers door is a bit of a bodge.
Is a mint unrestored low miles xr2 worth more than a restored one like this one.
My daughter sold hers to wheeler dealers lol, should have keeped it 😢
Seen the episode, fuckin brewer
@@sqwidink1 he crashed it while out filming 😆
Lovely as it is you wouldn’t drive it. You would look at it I the garage and polish it. It’s hardly going to do any milage unfortunately.

Yes would be a shame if not an XR2 and would make big difference to selling price at the Auction
I think they only ever show the make and model, not the exact version. A Fiesta XR2 logo on the tailgate is missing.
Listed as an XR2 on Total Car Check.
Wrong wheels spoils it
Pretty sure these are the right wheels
@@MarkR03 - They are indeed. The supersport ran the 4 spokes and the XR2 the pepperpots.
I had one they are the correct wheels
15 "look"s in 4 minutes 🤕 lovely car though
And about half a dozen 'squints'
How odd is this if ford produced this now it would fly off the shelves.

Lovely xr2 but they drive awful
I loved mine!! Slightly stiffer springs and shocks but it was a little rollerskate!
i want this car ? it`s better than a new one ?
