Had the st150 and now have the st180. The 150 put a smile on my face each and every time I drove it. The 180, I've had to bring it up to a stage 2 to make it anywhere near as enjoyable to drive. I'd love another 150

I own one of those cars in Mexico, here, the ST 150 was an special edition, only 300 cars where available in 2007 as model/year 2008. I bought it in November 2022 and im very happy with it, it drives awesome, looks very great, the maintenance its cheap, doesnt drink too much ⛽, i want to keep it forever. Greetings from Mexico.

Not driven a TDCI Fiesta in a while, I remember having one as a courtesy car and getting 60mpg+ Welcome back to the Fiesta club Adam 🙌🏼 Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!
I had the XR4 in Australia, traded for the 180 (MP215) and now have another XR4 too (for my sons first car). I wouldn’t be sad giving up the 180 for it. There’s something about that NA that just rocks imo. Love these cars. The 150 has aged so much better than the 182 cup for example too, which is a sticky plastic mess inside now
That's very interesting you saying about not missing the ST180 and I have to admit I see your point, the ST150 was nice to rev out (think it helped being re-mapped a bit too) plus newer cars are just missing most if not all driver engagement so the older I get, I just get drawn into older and/or pure driving machines The 182 wasn't great from the start, it aged the day it was made public haha! Thanks for watching Steffan! 👍🏼
I was close to buying one of these quite some time ago but wanted ideally wanted something with a turbo and five doors, so ended up buying a SEAT Ibiza FR instead.
Considering one of these as a cheaper daily driver. Still quite a few standard examples about. Had mine way back in 2006 at only a year old, really enjoyed it, but it was sadly written off by a lorry driver driving into the side of me 😢 Good video mate - more of a natural, less scripted presentation - how I like it 👍🏻

Hello Mate, just seen this fantastic review, totally agree with you on everything. What mods did he do to get to 180? In your view, what aftermarket exhaust would you go for.
Glad you liked the video, thanks for the kind words Dave! Looking back I don't think the car was running 180bhp as in the bracket you'll need uprated cams etc and don't think this car did. I have recently bought a track ST150, that runs a full Miltek system with exhaust manifold and I'd say that is the nicest sounding system to get. I'll be doing videos on mine at some point but won't be for a while - I have posted pictures on Instagram of the car if you fancy a look. Again, thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video! The Mk6 is definietly becoming a modern classic, worth a buy before they get unattainable in the future!
I average around 27-30mpg in my st150 and that's with having a little bit of fun too. I reckon it could easily be 35mpg+ if you are driving like a granny or going 65mph on a motorway. Not too bad for what it is in my opinion
IB5s are known to be like chocolate, especially third gear (yes, if you're aggressive pushing up into the gear) Agree, LSD is a must for any car, especially an FWD one 👍🏼 Thanks for watching Mark!
Interesting - a Rally Edition? Never heard of Ford doing that, only Fiesta I recall the name 'Rally' in it was the Rallye Concept they did Where are you based Sven?
Heard of those talked about as European only model. Ford had MK6 ST shells/etc running in the Super1600 rally category which believe based on ST150’s but had to run super high rev 1.6 16v’s and rules of the time had to sell a base example via showrooms. Got many of that stuff sold Europe but not worth effort UK

I chose the 1.6tdci over the st150 personally, sure it doesn’t have the st badge but, reliable, cheap to run, can achieve upwards of 150bhp for a couple hundred pound, lower insurance group etc, tax. 124000 miles and counting still immaculate. Only thing I would have from the st to my tdci is the response of that na engine, takes a while for the turbo to come in but when it does it’s good fun
VTEC FTW! I did have a segment planned before filming to chat about the feel of the Duratec vs a K20 (from experience with my EP3) but the mixture of cold baltic weather and being distracted behind the wheel it slipped my mind 😂 I will say though now, a K20 runs rings around a Duratec for many reasons but mostly for the soundtrack and stronger tuning capabilities Thanks for supporting & watching as always dude!
@@PocketRockets ep3 is on another level to the st150 it was amazing for it’s time. The st150 was more of a Clio/polo competitor although the clio was miles faster too
@PocketRockets I'd be up for that. The V6 will be going soon as 700 a year in tax is busting my balls, and the TDCI needs a drive shaft but once I've sorted that, I'd be happy for it to come on

Honestly it was no different to the van inside too ffs Ford!!!!
