They did last a few years. But, the springs eventually started making noise. I have cheap knock off springs on the rear now. They don't lift the rear at all, but do the job.
Not here to "troll" but gotta say it looks like the upper bolt may have been slightly over-torqued, since I noticed that you had to kinda "bend" the shock into position for the lower assembly. I'm sure it's a non-issue, but in general I believe you want "free swing" (just barely) freedom of movement at the upper pivot point.
Wavetechlifeguardian I'm probably wrong to even bring it up, since I've witnessed a few other similar videos that show the torquing spec to be 80-85 ft-lbs, so you're all good to go!
They lasted about 3-4 years before the spring came loose and starting making noise. New ones were just as easy to install, and still working great. I wish the front struts/shocks were that easy to change out. I need to do the front next.
Man that reminded me of my three-year-old boy helping me with my front struts and springs haha it's really good for the boys to learn at that age. I don't think it's too dangerous like everybody else is saying! Helpful video though glad to see that the rear is going to be a lot easier👍
Sir, you deserve all the power tools you want. Was great watching the video.
Teach them early!😃 so sweet...😍 Thank you for taking the time to share 🧡
My 06' Commander needs all 4 corners replaced. Gives me confidence to do the job myself. Thanks!
same 👍🏼
The front struts are nothing like replacing the rear shocks.
@@Area612 Your right. My wife insisted we take it to our mechanic. Real glad we did.
Thanks for showing me how!
were closing in on 9 years now but how long did those last for you? i havent heard anything good about monroe suspension products

VideoNOLA I will check them out. They've been on there for a few years, so they may have loosened up on their own.

Did you ever use them off road? If so how did they perform ?
How have these held up for you? Have you changed the set up at all?

Wavetechlifeguardian good to know. How did the ride quality end up being?
Very nice. Not too bouncy at all, being that it's still a Jeep SUV.
Did this make a big difference in the ride? And why not replace the other spring? Thanks
Not a big difference in ride. They just gave the rear end a little boost. I did not want to replace springs or lift the Jeep, though.
Thanks for the vid, did the install affect the ride, smoothness, of the ride.
Not a noticeable difference in ride, but possibly a little more bouncy in the rear. Not enough to make me go back to stock though.
how they felt the new ones.
what shocks are those?
As this video is old I’m just gonna say a 1/2 inch drive would save you a lot of sweat bro
Do they sell them in pairs or separate.
Thanks
Pairs only, as far as I know.,
@@Wavetechlifeguardian can i have the link x to find it.? Thankyou
How the ride feels on these smooth or bouncy. Dont like bouncy. Like more like smooth ride like brand new
Not bouncy, but not as smooth as stock. A little more stiff, but not bad.
Kind of look like they are upside down
❤😂
they do not make bilstiens?
Kid!! Move out!!, I can't watch
Agreed. Poor choice with the child involved and so close to danger zone-
Give it thumbs down, kiddo is in the way
