You are, after Steve himself, the best Iron Maiden song bass player hands down. And belief me, I am a Steve Harris geek. Whether it is about his sound, his rig, his technique or whatever. For more than a decade Steve Harris' bass stuff is my hobby and sometimes obsession 🫣😃 But your sound, mix and technique is so great that only the late great Steve himself in his prime sounds better on Maiden songs. I wish RUclips was around when I was 13 years old when Iron Maiden released all their classics. You are like the Steve Harris I always wanted -- meaning, someone who could stand in front of me and play every Iron Maiden song so I could see how it was played and learn how to play them. And i think that the notes are played on 1 3 and 4 giving it a horse gallop, so indeed no triplets ?

But if 3 notes are used in a 4 count, yeah that why I'm still a beginner 🤣🤣
@@Sassenhaim triplets will be if in one beat you have 3 notes, but here in one beat you have the 1 - 3- 4.. but the one is the double of 3 and 4...

Could you please do a video on customising a P bass into a Steve Harris P bass
I can't for I bought it as it is and did not modify a single sparkle in the blue paint ;)
I'm a musician, not a technician. I only know the technical basics, sorry.
And my bass is Steve's genuine Japanese signature model.

I don't think it would be that difficult to take a P bass that is a 1971 or later if they body is the same for the pickups placement to make it like Steve's bass. Replace the pickups with the Steve Harris Seymore Duncan SPB-4 pickups and put on a Fender HiMass bridge. Then if you use the Steve Harris Rotosound flatwound set strings you need to have the truss rod tightened for the higher gauge strings. If you're going to do that and have the bass apart then this is a good time to get a custom paint scheme. All black, royal metallic sparkle blue, all white, checkerboard, or whatever you want.

Do you gallop with 2 or 3 fingers? Looks like three but its hard to be sure..
I gallop with 2. Sometimes I use the 3rd but not for galloping. And when I do so I state it clearly with titles to show that this is MY technique and not Steve's.
