      @@TheDungeonDive Lost Valley! Might that get the DD treatment some day? I’ve had that game for years and need to get it off the shelf!

    Liked your walk through...you have my kind of games.

      Thanks! It's kind of crazy, but it's actually changed quite a bit since I posted this! Might have to do a state of the collection a couple times a year, or something. :)

    I'm *really* enjoying Dungeon Degenerates, to the point where I might dump all of my Runebound 2nd ed stuff. It might also fire Kilforth for me, but I can't drop that game because the art is just so beautiful.
    Good call on the Super Fantasy titles. Great dice system & fun 3-d components. I need to set that up and play it some more.
    I really like your collection. As much as I tell myself that I'm getting fatigued with dungeon/overworld crawls, I think most of that is with the newer FFG implementations. I love the older stuff and some of the newer titles that are coming out of left field (like Dungeon Degenerates or Shadows of Malice).

      Have you tried Runebound 3rd edition with the co-op expansion? I think it is very good. Not as good as Dungeon Degenerates, but it is probably the best that RB has ever been.
      I mainly collect these kinds of games because I get as much fun out of looking at them and reading the cards and stuff as I do playing them. For me, the components are an important part of the hobby, and I love reading lore, looking at loot and monsters, and all of that.

    Please do smth with myth! It's my number 1 game and needs more RUclips presence!

      @TheDungeonDive  6 лет назад +1

      I'd like to, although I'm sure I'd make a ton of mistakes. So many little rules! Have you seen the Myth Dungeons variant on BGG? I'm looking into that as a potential candidate. I will at least do some kind of video on it, maybe just a take a look or something, or maybe go through the tutorial module.

    Fantastic games on your shelf and very rare ones as well. Good taste, wonderful collection of games. :)
    My highlights on your shelf: Machina Arcana (keep an eyer for the 2nd edition this year!), Perdition´s Mouth (still yet to be reviewed by mainstream channels out there!), Secrets of the lost tomb (the best single-shot story-crawler so far - I agree - an (gladly) unpolished rockstar in this genre), Of dreams and shadows (such a nice nische game),
    But how in the world could you miss on Galaxy Defenders. This is a game that has to have a place on your shelf. Still the best AI system out there and so much deeper and better than Sword & Sorcery. Check it out. Now! ;)

      Thanks, man. Glad you like Secrets of the Lost Tomb!
      As far as GD goes, it appears a little too tactical for me, and I'm not hugely into SF games, so I've never jumped on it. I also recently learning S&S, and I don't like it much either. So fiddly. So maybe I just don't like that company much. I do plan on giving S&S more time, and I may eventually get GD. We'll see.

      Man - I noticed that you were the OP for this thread, right? boardgamegeek.com/thread/1726901/it-ultimate-dungeon-crawl/page/3
      I own you everything now. You really nailed it with that thread and it was the reason to buy Lost tomb. Thank you. :)
      GD is very tactical, yes. But it is not as fiddly as Sword & Sorcery, especially in the base game. Maybe you should check it out. It is very cheap and you get a a lot gameplay value for that. GD is not dry, but very intense tactical combat with a great story line and fantastic events during the missions.

      Haha. Yeah. That's me. :) Glad I steered you in the right direction. :)
      I'll put GD on my radar.

      I know. ;) Sadly I have to wait for the reprint of Ancient Myths & Legends. Still missing that expansion. But Secrets of the Lost Station will come this year. ;) Although I doubt that they will release that in May. So much content...

    Have you ever tried to wrap your head around Magic Realm? I may be a bit more of a rules guy then you, but that game always flew right over my head ruleswise. And I do fine with something like Here I Stand or The Republic of Rome.

    • @TheDungeonDive
      @TheDungeonDive  6 лет назад

      Infyra nope. Doesn’t appeal to me at all.

      What about something like Hexplore It? That seems to be up your alley :D Do you like any actual RPG adventures? I have a fascination for Megadungeons and Hexcrawl modules besides the boardgame dungeon crawls and overland fantasy adventure games.

    • @TheDungeonDive
      @TheDungeonDive  6 лет назад

      I just can't get over how ugly Hexcrawl looks. The UI and art is so bland, and I don't like the dry erase marker stuff. I do play RPGs. My buddy is going to run Cyberpunk soon. I really like DCC RPG, Torchlight, and others.
