At the end of the video I asked the following question: "1) Why did Muhammad speak loud enough for Zaynab to hear him? Did he want her to know he was sexually attracted to her? Muhammad’s audible words destroyed Zayd’s marriage. Maybe Zayd could have kept his wife if Muhammad had remained silent."
Just to give you some background information, this question is regarding Muhammad's reaction when he saw Zayd's wife's sexually attractive body. Muhammad said (loud enough to be heard by her) "Glory be to God who causes hearts to turn!" Zayd's wife heard that statement so she knew Muhammad was attracted to her after that. Zayd also found out about that. See “The History of al-Tabari”, Volume VIII, p. 2.

I will show you how this person is a charlatan, a deceiver, and a lack of scientific honesty. He deceives people who are ignorant of the religious knowledge in Islam . 1_ The story he is telling is not true . for those who do not know the style of the ancient exegetes, they mention all the narrations and hadiths that were said in a particular verse, whether they were authentic or even those that they know to be incorrect. Only a few of the commentators do not mention a specific hadith or narration when because they know that it is not authentic . The reason for this is because the task of examining hadiths to ensure their authenticity and explaining that is the task of other scholars who are hadith scholars . If the ancient exegetes examined and analyzed the hadiths in the books of interpretation, then those sciences would mix with each other (the science of hadith and the science of interpretation) and things would get mixed up and become unclear to the reader , The books will be so big , for example the book of interpretation, which is 5 volumes, will become 20 or 30 volumes .
But the important information that he hid from you in order to deceive you is that he did not mention the style of the ancient commentators, as they mention all the narrations and hadiths, whether they are authentic or incorrect, while the hadith scholars examine those hadiths and narrations.Get old tafsir books like Tafsir al-Tabari or al-Jalalain and you will see what I told you about .
2_ When Zaid bin Haritha was 8 years old, he was a slave to the Quraish tribe , The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, set him free and treated him like his sons and treated him very well. (When Zaid was young, one of the tribes took him as a prisoner of war and sold as a slave until he reached Quraish and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, found him and freed him) . Although the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave Zaid the option to go to his tribe and his family and live with them or stay in his house, Zaid chose to stay and live in the house of the Prophet, peace be upon him, because of the great morals and wonderful treatment from him, and Zaid used to go to his family to visit and then return to Mecca, so the Prophet, peace be upon him, decided to adopt it (this story was before the revelation came down to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) .
3_ The family of Zainab bint Jahsh was one of the masters of Mecca, when the Prophet engaged her from her family for Zaid, she refused because she considered herself as a master, but she considered Zaid as a slave, and her brother supported her. After the revelation was revealed that it should not contradict the request of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, she accepted to marry Zaid (one of the wisdoms of this marriage to establish the principle of equality in Islam and that the criterion of preference among people is not family or money...etc. Rather, it obey the orders of God and good deeds ) .
4_ Islam came with the prohibition of adoption for a great wisdomٍs, among which i mention the following :
a_ Preserving people's genealogy and their true family tree .
b_ Preserving the children and rights of real families so that another family does not take one of their children and then attribute (him / her) to it through adoption .
c_ In Islam, a girl should not sit with someone who is not from her relatives whom she is forbidden, such as the father, son, brother, uncle, etc. The adopted son is not a real relative of her and therefore it is not permissible for her to sit with him .
d_ Adoption will affect the inheritance of real relatives while the adoptee is deprived of the inheritance of his true family , his real family may have a much larger inheritance than the family that adopted him .
e _ If you don't know the adopter's real family, you can call him your brother in Islam, he has a family and he might find it one day, so no one should tamper with his real lineage through adoption, he has a real family to be proud of it .
f_ Today, because of the legalization of adultery and the obstructions on front of marriage, a big problem has arisen, which is illegitimate children who do not know their real parents. In some European countries, the percentage of illegitimate children has exceeded 50%, and this is a major disaster whose first victim is innocent children who suffer because of criminal parents who do not appreciate responsibility. The solution to this problem is to stop adultery and impose deterrent penalties on adulterers, encourage young people to marry and facilitate marriage for them, not the solution by adoption, even if a society wanted to do so, they would not be able to adopt tens of millions of children

There were many problems between Zainab and Zaid , it was said that she was told him that he was a slave while she is a master.Zaid went a lot to the Prophet Muhammad to tell him that he wanted to divorce her because the Prophet Muhammad was the one who made him marry her . Muhammad, peace be upon him, forbade him and urged him not to divorce her and to bear, perhaps that his relationship with his wife would improve in the future. Continuing marriage is better than divorce, and also because the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the one who made Zaid marry her, ( Zainab is from the tribe of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and he knew her. The family of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was one of the masters of Mecca, and his reputation was wonderful among the inhabitants of Mecca. They used to call him the Truthful and Trustworthy, there is no family or girl in Mecca that would refuse to marry him )
God told that the Prophet Muhammad through Angel Gabriel that adoption is forbidden and that Zaid is not his son and that he must allow Zaid to divorce Zainab to marry her is in order for all Muslims to know that the adoption is strictly forbidden .
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was afraid that his enemies , who were so many (pagans, hypocrites, Jews), would say that he had married his son’s wife (Zayd is not his son in reality), so he hesitated when Zaid came to him asking permission to divorce Zainab. Then the revelation came down with the verses that authorize Zayd to divorce Zainab and that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him marry Zainab (If the Prophet Muhammad was not a true prophet, he would have hidden these verses and concealed them ) This is in order for all Muslims to know that adoption is strictly forbidden, and that adopted children have real families to which they should be attributed.
As the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, expected, his enemies talked about that Muhammad married his son’s wife and so on, even though they knew that Zaid was not his real son , that Islam prohibited adoption and that they knew in their hearts that Islam is the truth . Verses have been revealed that respond to the words of the enemies of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him . Allah said in the in Quran (( Muhammad was not the father of any of your men (meaning Zaid), but the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets )) Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 40
(( مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا (40) )) سورة الأحزاب ، آية 40
_ Catholics have their own Bible, Protestants have their own Bible, Jehovah's Witnesses have their own Bible, Mormons have their own Bible, Amish have their own gospel...etc, which Bible are you talking about. I feel sick and psychologically traumatized after hearing all these facts and I'm a Muslim. In the last 10 years I have tried to fit in the Islamic community but had issues trying to adjust as all I hear is how everyone needs to model Mohammed to achieve salvation in the afterlife.
Before all this, I was a happy easy going and loving individual to everyone. I ran my own Martial Arts operation and made good money from teaching and having a positive impact in people's lives, especially to parents by being a positive influence and a role model to their children.
After my father died in 2012, as I was burying him I heard someone tell about grave punishment. I pleaded for my father's soul and visited his grave for 40 days pleading God for his mercy and made a personal promise that I will try to be a good Muslim. I wasn't practicing before but had issues in the past with an ugly experience I had at a Mosque, which damaged me psychologically. I promised my father that I will never step foot in the Mosques again on a Friday, where we both prayed at home. I was suffering from mental health problems and my family didn't know what to do. My sister was friends with a South African family who are Christian, and they came to visit me and they prayed for me. I remember Ron telling me that "God is not the God of fear, but of love and of power, and of a sound mind". This gave me comfort and hope and I became friends with Stephen (Ron's son) who would occasionally pick me up on a Sunday to go to a Church gathering of young people.
Moving on from 2002, I didn't go to Mosques nor kept in touch with any Muslims and I was happy, while still managing my mental health I managed to work in the health and fitness industry, then moved into sales in the mobile phone industry and then eventually started teaching Martial Arts which was my hobby and passion from a young age. I was blessed with many students and earned a good living, loving what I do and making a difference in my community. Then my father died in 2012, and continuing from my above message I made an effort to go to Mosques again and try to build a relationship with Muslims. I got involved with this group called TABLGHI JAMAT and from then I was going down this slippery slope of abyss of hopelessness. I was hearing that God hates this world, and that the afterlife is much more profitable and to follow the examples of Mohammed and his followers, that life is very temporary and to not to live for it.. I was brainwashed, I started losing interest in my Martial Arts operation and my students and community. I was trying my best to pray 5 times a day, following all the rules and working towards my afterlife, where I felt so hopeless as I was struggling with the prayers and all the rules of and injunctions played out by these so called TABLGHI SUNNI MUSLIMS.. I was told that even missing one SALAH (prayer) was an unforgivable sin, and every day I wake up feeling like I failed God, and failed to attain his love, comfort and mercy. Purely because my prayer was delayed or I wasn't sure whether I was clean after using the bathroom etc.
Everywhere I looked I was confused as I was seeing people who are not following Islam, even Muslims who are non practicing including my family. Now I've lost everything and don't have my livelihood and I'm stuck in a pit with snakes everywhere.
Now I'm waking up, only to find I've been lied to and I am very very angry and hurt beyond imagination to find out all this by Ismael..

Oh my goodness your story is really touching. I hope you keep seeking out Jesus who is the only one that can give you peace. I had one incident that I lost all hope in and I desperation I prayed a silent prayer. I said Jesus prince of peace please give me peace today. Miraculously a wave of peace rushed over me and I cries happy tears. I was unable to sleep before then for so long due to the issue that was bothering me but after that I was able to go to such a deep and peaceful sleep.

1) Very idiotic question, the Prophet Mohammed -as you mentioned- was the one made the marriage of Zaid and Zainab (his cousin), why do you think that the Prophet wanted sexual attraction from a woman behind the door (allegedly) and he didn't want it when he saw,met, talked to that woman? The Prophet was the one pushing both Zainab and Zaid to be married.

2) Ignorance again, adoption in Islam is Ok in a sense and not Ok in another.. It's Ok if you take care of your adopted son, and feed him, and grow him on the pure teachings of monotheism, and to be kind towards the child and giving him
a righteous religious upbringing and sound direction, teaching him that
which will benefit him in this world and the next. BUT YOU MUST call him with his father's name and not yours.
Zaid remained the Prophet's adopted son, but his name was only changed from Zaid ibnu Muhammed to Zaid Ibnu Thabit after the revelation of 33:4-5 ..

3) You see not all the scholars of the Ummah acknowledged that the narration which you mentioned from Al-Tabari is reliable. Al-Qurtubi, Ibn Kathir and other great scholars who rely to Hadiths did not mention it. And Al-Tabari himself admitted that if anything wrong exists in any narration of his book then that wrong is not of him, rather the source he heard from. So Al-Tabari faithfully admitted in the introduction of his book that his history will collect narrations from everyone. So if you really want to look at Islamic sources, you have to read the [agreed upon] narrations.
4) Well I see that you are an Idiot and the problem is with your evil brain which looks at things from the bottom. The whole wisdom of the incident is to abolish the jaahili custom of remarrying a free woman even if she's your adopted son's divorced wife. And that's pretty obvious if you just read the Ayah itself.
The Prophet was informed that Zaid is going to divorce his wife and that he is going to marry her. When Zaid told him that he wants to divorce his wife, the Prophet feared the reaction of the people (and he didn't have to as Allah inspired to him) and told Zaid to keep his wife and fear Allah. Then, when Zaid divorced her (due to his own decision because he had problems with her) the Prophet married her to abolish the jaahili custom of the remarriage of a free woman even if she is divorced from your adopted son.

He has a very balanced lecture. My late husband was Muslim. An excellent person. Always at work or mosque or playing with the baby. Our home was always full of men discussing the Quran. I learned the prayers and do those but I didn’t convert. He was so kind and never told me to convert.

Funny how Muslims claim this story in the History of Tabari is not true, yet the Qur'an itself confirms the most important parts of it. Is the Quran also not true? The Qur'an even mentions Zayd by name, he is the only companion of Muhammad mentioned by name in the Quran. Clearly this event caused a big stir in the early Muslim community. After the revelation was revealed that it should not contradict the request of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, she accepted to marry Zaid (one of the wisdoms of this marriage to establish the principle of equality in Islam and that the criterion of preference among people is not family or money...etc. Rather, it obey the orders of God and good deeds ) .
4_ Islam came with the prohibition of adoption for a great wisdomٍs, among which i mention the following :
a_ Preserving people's genealogy and their true family tree .
b_ Preserving the children and rights of real families so that another family does not take one of their children and then attribute (him / her) to it through adoption .
c_ In Islam, a girl should not sit with someone who is not from her relatives whom she is forbidden, such as the father, son, brother, uncle, etc. The adopted son is not a real relative of her and therefore it is not permissible for her to sit with him .
d_ Adoption will affect the inheritance of real relatives while the adoptee is deprived of the inheritance of his true family , his real family may have a much larger inheritance than the family that adopted him .
e _ If you don't know the adopter's real family, you can call him your brother in Islam, he has a family and he might find it one day, so no one should tamper with his real lineage through adoption, he has a real family to be proud of it .
f_ Today, because of the legalization of adultery and the obstructions on front of marriage, a big problem has arisen, which is illegitimate children who do not know their real parents. In some European countries, the percentage of illegitimate children has exceeded 50%, and this is a major disaster whose first victim is innocent children who suffer because of criminal parents who do not appreciate responsibility. The solution to this problem is to stop adultery and impose deterrent penalties on adulterers, encourage young people to marry and facilitate marriage for them, not the solution by adoption, even if a society wanted to do so, they would not be able to adopt tens of millions of children

They used to call him the Truthful and Trustworthy, there is no family or girl in Mecca that would refuse to marry him )
God told that the Prophet Muhammad through Angel Gabriel that adoption is forbidden and that Zaid is not his son and that he must allow Zaid to divorce Zainab to marry her is in order for all Muslims to know that the adoption is strictly forbidden .
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was afraid that his enemies , who were so many (pagans, hypocrites, Jews), would say that he had married his son’s wife (Zayd is not his son in reality), so he hesitated when Zaid came to him asking permission to divorce Zainab. Then the revelation came down with the verses that authorize Zayd to divorce Zainab and that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him marry Zainab (If the Prophet Muhammad was not a true prophet, he would have hidden these verses and concealed them ) This is in order for all Muslims to know that adoption is strictly forbidden, and that adopted children have real families to which they should be attributed.
As the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, expected, his enemies talked about that Muhammad married his son’s wife and so on, even though they knew that Zaid was not his real son , that Islam prohibited adoption and that they knew in their hearts that Islam is the truth . Verses have been revealed that respond to the words of the enemies of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him . Allah said in the in Quran (( Muhammad was not the father of any of your men (meaning Zaid), but the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets )) Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 40

d_ Adoption will affect the inheritance of real relatives while the adoptee is deprived of the inheritance of his true family , his real family may have a much larger inheritance than the family that adopted him .
e _ If you don't know the adopter's real family, you can call him your brother in Islam, he has a family and he might find it one day, so no one should tamper with his real lineage through adoption, he has a real family to be proud of it .

It started while reading the verses about being harsh with Christians and Jews, not taking any as friends, cutting off the hands and feet from opposite sides, crucifying them, etc. Then I read Hadith that Mohammad said to dip flies all the way into the food because 1 wing has the disease and the other the cure. I could've blown it off as the period he lived in didn't fully understand that flies carry more than 1 disease on their feet and vomit where they land. However, there's modern commentary in my book deliberately lying that Mohammad was telling the truth, and gave this convoluted scientific nonsense explanation as "proof". It made me even angrier that their own leaders would deliberately make Muslims sick in a desperate attempt to make Mohammad right. Then it made me angry that Muslims didn't want to hear about it, and would rather make themselves sick than go against their prophet.
It was a snowballing effect of anger the more I read. When I prayed, God helped me understand that it's only by His love for me that I know the truth. That's part of why I come here and to Acts 17's videos. We all need God's truth.

Adoption was never abolished in Islam. Verses 33:4-5 has no implication towards that whatsoever.
Sayed Sistani, the elite authority of Islam, says, "It is permissible for a person to adopt a child and taking care of a deserving child on its own earns is a rewarding deed, but the child legally (Islamic Shariah) is not considered his son or daughter; i.e. the child remains non-mahram to him or his wife and he or she does not inherit from the ones who has adopted him or her.

Zaid was adopted by the Prophet before he began his apostleship. While the Prophet was in the market of Akatah, he saw a young slave boy, Zaid, being sold. The Prophet purchased the child and treated him as his own son.
After the Prophet declared his apostleship, Zaid's father Haritha, a noble man, came to know the whereabouts of his son. He came to Abu Taleb to see if the Prophet would sell back his son to him or receive compensation and liberate the boy. When approached with the request the Prophet immediately declared Zaid to be free and free to go away along with his father or whatever he liked but Zaid got up and said he would never leave the Prophet and refused to go with his father or to return to his people. When Zaid was found firm in his determination, and owing to his extraordinary and affectionate attachment to the Prophet, the Prophet declared to the people around, "Bear ye witness that from today Zaid is my son and I am his father."
Ibne Abbas relates the Prophet demanded the hand of Zainab bint Jahesh, the daughter of his paternal uncle, thinking it was for the Prophet himself,, the demand was readily accepted but it was for Zaid (the liberated slave). When Zainab came to know this, she as a member of a leading noble family of the place, did not like it and her brother Abdullah bin Jahesh also agreed to her resentment. It was the magnanimity of the natural love of the Holy Prophet that he wanted his real cousin Zainab binte Umaima, daughter of Abdul Muttalib to marry Zaid which was resented both by Zainab and her brother Abdullah. The marriage having been effected by the pressure and insistence of the Prophet, it becomes incumbent upon the Prophet to bring solace to the broken heart of the lady. Zainab was offered to the Prophet when she was a virgin. Herself, her brother, and all her relatives had desired the Holy Prophet to take her in wedlock to himself. Now when the alliance effected at the instance of the Prophet, had brought misery to the last and the lady herself, along with her brother and other relatives wanted her alliance now at least to be with himself. The Prophet was naturally bound to console the broken heart by accepting the offer.
As regards Zaid who was only brought up by the Prophet, being taken as a real son, was meaningless and its untenability is given out in verse 33:4. There was a mistaken custom among the people, of holding an adopted son, as the real one. It was the Prophets duty to deal a death blow to annihilate the false custom forever, and this was a providentially arranged opportunity to do it and he, under God's command, did it.
The ridiculous concoction against the Prophet which did not care for any amount of beauty in any woman when it was persuasively volunteered to him in his teens. Zainab, being his cousin, the Prophet had seen her when she was yet a virgin under the custom of the time when "purdah" had not yet been imposed upon women and was not fascinated by her virgin beauty and refused to accept her hand in marriage when the lady herself and all her relatives wanted him to have her for himself. How could the same lady when under the wedlock of another man fascinate an apostle of God when he himself declined the offer and had effected the alliance against the expressed desire of the lady herself along with all her relatives to have her for himself.
Zainab had submitted her will to the will of the Prophet in marrying Zaid against her own wishes. Therefore upon Zaid divorcing her, she was rewarded the first grant or original desire. That is to be the Ummol-Momineen.
Zaid and Zainab married per the advice of the Prophet and were made to break the aristocratic tendencies and barriers and tribal superiority complex, and the purpose of the Prophet himself taking her in wedlock was just as the Quran says - for repealing of the paganic rule of not marrying the divorced wives of the adopted sons- as a part of the annulment of the pagans cult of adoption.
The alliance between the high and the low of the society was enforced by the Prophet, on the Lady and those of her family, just to break the aristocratic convention, knowing that in this particular case the alliance would not be harmonious and lasting but the way for the future was paved.
The word Zawajnakaha, i.e. We (God Himself) have wedded (Zainab) to thee, was revealed the Prophet received Zainab in the wedlock. It is obvious that it is a divine plan to prove to the people the fallacy of their imagination of an adopted son being the real one. The concluding words of the verse 33:36 disclose this meaning.

1_ The story he is telling is not true . for those who do not know the style of the ancient exegetes, they mention all the narrations and hadiths that were said in a particular verse, whether they were authentic or even those that they know to be incorrect. Only a few of the commentators do not mention a specific hadith or narration when because they know that it is not authentic . The reason for this is because the task of examining hadiths to ensure their authenticity and explaining that is the task of other scholars who are hadith scholars . If the ancient exegetes examined and analyzed the hadiths in the books of interpretation, then those sciences would mix with each other (the science of hadith and the science of interpretation) and things would get mixed up and become unclear to the reader , The books will be so big , for example the book of interpretation, which is 5 volumes, will become 20 or 30 volumes .

2_ When Zaid bin Haritha was 8 years old, he was a slave to the Quraish tribe , The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, set him free and treated him like his sons and treated him very well. (When Zaid was young, one of the tribes took him as a prisoner of war and sold as a slave until he reached Quraish and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, found him and freed him) . Although the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave Zaid the option to go to his tribe and his family and live with them or stay in his house, Zaid chose to stay and live in the house of the Prophet, peace be upon him, because of the great morals and wonderful treatment from him, and Zaid used to go to his family to visit and then return to Mecca, so the Prophet, peace be upon him, decided to adopt it (this story was before the revelation came down to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) .
3_ The family of Zainab bint Jahsh was one of the masters of Mecca, when the Prophet engaged her from her family for Zaid, she refused because she considered herself as a master, but she considered Zaid as a slave, and her brother supported her. After the revelation was revealed that it should not contradict the request of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, she accepted to marry Zaid (one of the wisdoms of this marriage to establish the principle of equality in Islam and that the criterion of preference among people is not family or money...etc. Rather, it obey the orders of God and good deeds ) .
4_ Islam came with the prohibition of adoption for a great wisdomٍs, among which i mention the following :
a_ Preserving people's genealogy and their true family tree .
b_ Preserving the children and rights of real families so that another family does not take one of their children and then attribute (him / her) to it through adoption .
c_ In Islam, a girl should not sit with someone who is not from her relatives whom she is forbidden, such as the father, son, brother, uncle, etc. The adopted son is not a real relative of her and therefore it is not permissible for her to sit with him .
d_ Adoption will affect the inheritance of real relatives while the adoptee is deprived of the inheritance of his true family , his real family may have a much larger inheritance than the family that adopted him .
e _ If you don't know the adopter's real family, you can call him your brother in Islam, he has a family and he might find it one day, so no one should tamper with his real lineage through adoption, he has a real family to be proud of it .
f_ Today, because of the legalization of adultery and the obstructions on front of marriage, a big problem has arisen, which is illegitimate children who do not know their real parents. In some European countries, the percentage of illegitimate children has exceeded 50%, and this is a major disaster whose first victim is innocent children who suffer because of criminal parents who do not appreciate responsibility. The solution to this problem is to stop adultery and impose deterrent penalties on adulterers, encourage young people to marry and facilitate marriage for them, not the solution by adoption, even if a society wanted to do so, they would not be able to adopt tens of millions of children
There were many problems between Zainab and Zaid , it was said that she was told him that he was a slave while she is a master.Zaid went a lot to the Prophet Muhammad to tell him that he wanted to divorce her because the Prophet Muhammad was the one who made him marry her . Muhammad, peace be upon him, forbade him and urged him not to divorce her and to bear, perhaps that his relationship with his wife would improve in the future. Continuing marriage is better than divorce, and also because the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the one who made Zaid marry her, ( Zainab is from the tribe of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and he knew her. The family of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was one of the masters of Mecca, and his reputation was wonderful among the inhabitants of Mecca. They used to call him the Truthful and Trustworthy, there is no family or girl in Mecca that would refuse to marry him )
God told that the Prophet Muhammad through Angel Gabriel that adoption is forbidden and that Zaid is not his son and that he must allow Zaid to divorce Zainab to marry her is in order for all Muslims to know that the adoption is strictly forbidden .
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was afraid that his enemies , who were so many (pagans, hypocrites, Jews), would say that he had married his son’s wife (Zayd is not his son in reality), so he hesitated when Zaid came to him asking permission to divorce Zainab. Then the revelation came down with the verses that authorize Zayd to divorce Zainab and that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him marry Zainab (If the Prophet Muhammad was not a true prophet, he would have hidden these verses and concealed them ) This is in order for all Muslims to know that adoption is strictly forbidden, and that adopted children have real families to which they should be attributed.
As the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, expected, his enemies talked about that Muhammad married his son’s wife and so on, even though they knew that Zaid was not his real son , that Islam prohibited adoption and that they knew in their hearts that Islam is the truth . كان زيد بن حارثة رضي الله عنه في أول أمر الإسلام ابناً للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالتبنِّي ، وكان يُدعى " زيد بن محمد " ، وقد زوَّجه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من ابنة عمته " زينب بنت جحش " رضي الله عنها ، فلمَّا أبطل الله تعالى التبنِّي نُسب زيدٌ لأبيه " حارثة " .
ثم إن " زيداً " رضي الله عنه اشتكى لنبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم من زوجته " زينب " ، والنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصبِّره ويذكره بتقوى الله تعالى ، وبعد ذلك الإبطال للتبني يوحي الله تعالى لنبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم أن زيداً سيطلق زوجته وأنها ستكون زوجة له ، فأخفى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم هذا الأمر - وهو تزوجه بزينب مستقبلاً - عن الناس ولم يبده لأحد ، ولم يكن وحياً مأموراً بتبليغه ، وإنما خبر سيتحقق ، وقد حصل فعلاً أن طلق زيد زوجته زينب ، وتزوجها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم .
فليس في قصة تزوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بزينب ما يقدح في مقامه ، ولا ما ينزل من قدره.
وما يذكره بعض المفسرين في ذلك من أقوال تخالف ما ذكرناه فكله ضعيف مردود .

قال ابن العربي : فإن قيل : لأي معنى قال له : (أمسك عليك زوجك) وقد أخبره الله أنها زوجُه ؟
قلنا : أراد أن يختبر منه رغبته فيها أو رغبته عنها ، فأبدى له " زيد " من النفرة عنها والكراهة فيها ما لم يكن علمه منه في أمرها .
فإن قيل : كيف يأمره بالتمسك بها وقد علم أن الفراق لا بد منه ، وهذا تناقض ؟! .
قلنا : بل هو صحيح للمقاصد الصحيحة لإقامة الحجة ومعرفة العاقبة ، ألا ترى أن الله تعالى يأمر العبد بالإيمان وقد علم أنه لا يؤمن ، فليس في مخالفة متعلق الأمر لمتعلق العلم ما يمنع من الأمر به عقلاً وحُكماً ، وهذا من نفيس العلم فتيقنوه ، وتقبلوه .
