We discovered BTS in 2018 as they helped us get through our toughest days and they became the friends and role models we very much needed. They have taught us to love ourselves, and we try to promote the same message and values through our videos. On this channel, you can expect BTS reactions, funny BTS videos, us trying new activities BTS has done, us learning about the Korean culture, and pretty much anything else BTS related! I really want everyone to know how crazy this really is. You don't qualify for a diplomat passport if you're younger than 30-35 years UNLESS you've achieved something outstanding. BTS have ALL received one despite the age limit.....BTS SOUTH KOREA'S PRIDE!!

Using 2 hands when greeting is how Koreans show respect to an elder or someone of prestigious status (aside from bowing, and I’m sure you guys know there’s different levels to bowing too)
We do the same greeting style in my country which is fascinating because it's in Africa everything from the bow to holding your arm while shaking hands
@@emanomer2288 That’s so interesting. I study cultures and I’ve always noticed parallels between Asian and black (specifically, African and Caribbean) cultural practices.
Normally they shake hands but due to covid-19, they did knuckle touch to minimize body contacts. Looks so cool to do that with President Moon.

Words can't describe how proud we feel to see their every achievement. They built themselves up from the ground, Started as just a bunch of teen-agers with nothing but their talent and they are here being respected by every single person. If growth was a person then it'd be BTS.

I felt that in my bones 😭😭 Ever since the pandemic started I basically became useless, and the boys' achievements are something for me to celebrate now.

I cried when I saw them receiving this. They came so far.
I think all ARMYs around the world no matter where we are, felt proud to be BTS fans while seeing them receive the appointment as Special Envoys and diplomatic passports, also, fistbumping their president, so cool!
I have visited 35 countries so far, I love to travel and hopefully when the covid situation is safer I can visit new places, because of BTS I hope I get to visit South Korea someday.
They also they took a photo, and talked with the president and ministers over a luncheon!!! SOOOO proud as a Korean ARMY
I'm speechless to share the way i feel for them.
They were just a bunch of teenagers with nothing but their talent and now they're here being respected by every single person.
The fact that they built themselves up from the ground by struggling and battling against all the hurdles is just as Inspiring as them.
And being there throughout their journey makes a sense of accomplishment to me.

I cried watching this presentation to BTS. Yes, I felt like a proud grandma. I’m not from S Korea or Korean, but I felt the pride for S Korea. If I’m feeling this way, can you imagine their families.

How would 2013 BTS react to this... I'm just amazed that in 8 years they have achieved so much. To think that I became an ARMY in 2017, I never would have imagined this to happen. The past few days' events felt like an eye-opener of their impact, with news of BTS x Coldplay (knowing that BTS have shown admiration to the band since 2014 and now theyre collabing) and this. So much happened yet BTS is yet to become a decade old. Im looking forward for more years to come with them. I feel like I'm part of their journey.
I’m from a diplomatic family and had diplomatic passports growing up. From (my) birth to university, we moved 6 times to 7 countries. But when my dad retired from the foreign service, I had to change to a regular passport. But even in retirement, I think my dad gets to have a diplo passport for life (edit: actually, I don't think this is the case anymore). And other rules have changed over the years… not sure if anyone, even career diplomats, can travel with a diplo passport now unless they’re specifically on diplo/govt/official business (anyway, every country has its own rules and they keep changing).
But it does feel prestigious, and there’s a separate diplomatic lane at airport immigration check-ins, but apart from that I’m not sure what other ‘privileges’ it affords - maybe diplomatic immunity. It looks cool though - and for BTS, being non-diplomats career-wise, it’s a real achievement and honor to be given them, and directly by the President! I’m a proud mama!! 💜
One more thing, I’ve seen lots of comments and video titles and tweets saying the diplo passport is special because it allows them to travel to over 100 countries - actually, all Koreans with regular passports are already able to travel visa-free to some 190 countries. The regular passport is already in the top three most powerful passports in the world, along with Japan and Singapore this year (and Germany, etc.) Just wanted to add that because whenever I see it written like that, my fingers get an itch to type. 😅
