  • Description - Talking History is a documentary series on Rajya Sabha TV charting the past of fabulous Indian cities and their history.
    In this episode we talk about the challanges faced by Humayun after he succeeded his father and founder of Mughal Empire Babur. The ruler, often described not so strong like his father or his son Akbar, faced first ever defeat which ousted Mughals from India.
    Humayun was in exile after Sher Shah Suri defeated his forces and established the Afghan rule in Delhi and North India. But 15 years later in 1555, the Mughals came back to defeat Suri empire and re-established their empire

    Spreading Islam, architectural marvels, world famous mughal cuisines, the attar and fragrances industry, business and trade through the middle East and thus connecting India to the middle East. INDEED, the Mughals were the best who ruled India, and no other empire would match them at all, never!

    India should be so proud of its Architectural achievements and masterpieces. There are many Muslim countries but India has done a fantastic job in taking care of its history, which has brought a massive influx of money from tourists and I look forward to one day visiting all these beautiful sights as well as chittor and other Hindu and Sikh forts, palaces🙏🏼 Salam

    There is an error in the information provided. The first ever garden tomb in the Indian sub-continent was that of Sikander Lodi which is situated in the Lodi garden. Humayun's tomb came after that.
