essentially when its open its just a straight pipe right? so it would sound the same as a 540 with an open dump or a straight pipe? And if i leave the muffler and resonator stock, it would just sound stock when closed right and a straight pipe when its open
@@AaaBbb-bh6ff oh i thought you were asking if the cutout will give you a light. in that case yes, a catless downpipe will give you a light.. you will have to tune it out
Great video. I'm on my first bmw now which is a 530i but within a year from now I will have a 540i m sport & I will be adding a tune to.
That sounds meannnnnnn🔥
Hard finding clips of the sound without a downpipe just stock and the cutout
It would sound 100% stock. If you’re car has nothing done to it right now, go rev it and that will be your closed valve sound
@@JayBuiltt and if i do a resonator delete and put the cutout will it be a difference? (While being stock, only resonator delete)
@@nycmazoyou’re not going to notice much difference with only a resonator delete.
Do you lose back pressure from the resonator delete
@@Szn.lavish no
Can you do a step by step from the tune to what you did to the exhaust
Check out my other video for tune details. Exhaust setup is catless DP, resonator delete & the valved cutout
@@JayBuiltt did you have the m performance exhaust
@@barb6513 Yes
@@JayBuiltt if i get one without the m performance exhaust but do the same mods, would it sound similar or would there be a big difference
@@barb6513 there wouldn’t be a difference at all

bet thank you bro sick build
So the sound comes from underneath as well as the rear tips?
@@DabbingStoner818 yes but with my placement it sounds like it’s all coming out the rear
@@JayBuiltt Just got the cutout installed & its sounds beast as hell. 💪🏻Gonna post videos soon.
Hey bro can you tell me how you programmed it to your garage opner on the 540i

How you liking it?
Awesome, where did you get that kit? How is it working so far?
This specific kit is on Amazon. It’s the most popular one when you search it. It’s held up amazing i 100% recommend.
@@JayBuilttdo you feel a difference in power with the cutout ?
@@stockdemon_ no difference in power really. it comes in clutch though in a lot of ways. especially sliding pass waldorf feds 🤣
@@JayBuiltt what did it cost for the shop to install it? looking to do the same thing soon

does this make the check engine light come on?
No
