Thank you for watching. The signals shown are a mix of the ones from the IFAB laws of the game and from real world refereeing. I also wanted to show how a referee can use body language to explain and sell a decision better. I deliberately only blew into the whistle once for each signal because it would be annoying to hear it so many times considering how many types of signals I showed. I hope some of the signals and body language techniques shown can be of some help.
This is the best signal video I have seen - for offside violations (and particularly when no ARs are present), while keeping one hand raised in the IFK position I also like to add a horizontal back and forth motion with the other arm stretched in front and the hand pointing down showcasing what the IFK is for.
Man you're so good at it. One question: Do you practice these signals/whistles alone? My dream is to be a referee. There's no better channel for people like me to learn. Thank you mate! Edit: 1. Can you make a video recommending (and/or testing) linesmen flags?. Think it would be very useful to assistant referees. 2. Could you make a video showing referee positioning and good practices (also described in the actual IFAB Laws of the game)?
Thank you. I don’t practice like that. I have seen myself refereeing on videos and learned from that. Problem with making a positioning video is that if I don't have two teams on the field it wouldn't be practical. I would stand there alone without reference points. I will make assistant referee signals videos. I don't know about reviewing flags since they aren't as popular as whistles.
@@RefereeChannel Hmm, sad about the positioning video, you could film a real match in which you apply these good practices and just make some observations and arrows and stuff digitally. About ARs, please do this video. It would be very useful.
Very nice content, could you make a video on your journey as a referee ? ( why you started, the most difficult situations you've ever faced, tips and so on )
@ ahh ok. Was wondering because sometimes I get feedback that it’s not supposed to be the same. Is it better at a 45 degree angle above or is it better just putting your hand straight?
When someone was in an offside position when the pass was made and was then punishable for offside when in an onside position. They usually get surprised when it’s whistled so this is a way of explaining it.
I'm using Google Translate. Thanks for the useful video. What kind of signals are there when a referee changes a decision after discussing with the line referee, fourth official, or other on-field officials?
@@RefereeChannel Now that I am thinking, I am quite confused, I learned that if the ball is not fully out, we still play, but in your videos there were a signal about ball being slightly out. Is there any set circumstances for each of them?
Nothing. I didn’t blow into the whistle every time since I’m showing different examples of the same signal. Nobody wants to see a 9 minute video with a full whistle sound every time. It’s a video about signals. The whistle is just to show when it’s needed.

Much appreciated. As a newer coach I really do appreciate the simplicity of your video.
I love your videos... and I always learn something new!

Nice signals, every ref uses his set but sometimes i change them just for fun.
Very useful video ❤️👏

Thanks. Maybe, my focus now is more on educational videos and whistles.
Hi should there be a difference in the way you angle your arm for a throw in vs a direct free kick?
Hello. Not necessarily. They share the same signal.
@ ahh ok. Was wondering because sometimes I get feedback that it’s not supposed to be the same. Is it better at a 45 degree angle above or is it better just putting your hand straight?
Corner kick signal is 45 degrees. See the throw-in signals I show and you can see. Some do 45 degrees but it doesn’t look very good.
what does coming from an offside position mean? (1:47)
When someone was in an offside position when the pass was made and was then punishable for offside when in an onside position. They usually get surprised when it’s whistled so this is a way of explaining it.
Hello, very good video. Could you do some referee positioning like this video? It would be best! Thanks
Thanks. Maybe in the future. First I will do assistant referee videos, indirect free kicks etc.
@@RefereeChannel Hade varit otroligt uppskattat med båda men också postionering :)
Positionering utan två lag på plan blir svårt.
I'm using Google Translate. Thanks for the useful video. What kind of signals are there when a referee changes a decision after discussing with the line referee, fourth official, or other on-field officials?
There is no particular signal. You just show the new signal for the new decision.
thankyou
Thank you! Love it. Btw, if the ball slighty out of the line, is it counted as ball-out?
Yes
@@RefereeChannel Now that I am thinking, I am quite confused, I learned that if the ball is not fully out, we still play, but in your videos there were a signal about ball being slightly out. Is there any set circumstances for each of them?
Slightly out means the whole ball is slightly out.
Can you do AR next?
It will happen.
Nice video
Whistle signal after a clear goal or not?
Not needed, therefore not used in the video.
@@RefereeChannel thanks for helping :)

How to calculate extra time for football
It’s in the laws of the game for what situations time is added.

Your loving the acme tornado 2000 recently aren't you?
I use the Fox 40 Classic mostly. Tornado T2000 is too difficult to use without a lanyard or having to bite on it.
what happen to your whistle ?
