thanks brother ✨
Thank you!
Thanks 😊
center reffing is definitely pretty nerve-wracking. There is so much to memorize and think about and god forbid if you start getting yelled at by spectators, players, or coaches for slipping up. the pressure is high
'god forbid' ... It happens every game 😂
okay so my dad got me to coach 5-8 yr old games and of course they are small and not many things would need to be called. it's just i know that this will get harder, especially of my dad signs me up for more of these. i don't even know if I have someone who's gonna spot me...
im reffing my first game tomorrow as a sole center ref and I'm pretty nervous
@Curbotron same except it is tonight for 10u for me. Also nervous for my 1st time. Wish you luck
@@alexgutierrez2506 yeah mine is also u10. i wish you luck, and im sure we'll all do fine
So basically .... hold an arm out horizontally and there is a good chance you'll get it right.
basically
What about offsides?
Probably not but that's funny
Basically you are wrong and obviously you have never played soccer the referee is not here to teach how to play but rather to give directions to where the ball is moving and it is normally forwards therefore the hand always indicates which direction the ball is going but anyway maybe it is too much
@@juliotorres5395 Clearly you don't understand the concept of humour. You need to lighten up.
Just finished my referee course and this information is really helpful. Thank you
Same. Which state?
@@estelavesga4311 I'm from the UK, what state are you from?
@@Elliscjo01 California! Just got licensed!
@@estelavesga4311 that's awesome we'll done
@@Elliscjo01 Thanks and good luck
This is my first year of reffing and about to go ref three games as center ref. This is helpful.
Yeah same. I have my first center ref game today, and I am nervous
You still referring?
@@davidescobar2777 I’m still reffing in the spring, and I play on a team in the fall. As for the original commenter, I hope they’re still reffing too!
Same
Also use the tone length and strength of the whistle to reinforce the decision. A normal foul, short blast, bad yellow or even red, long loud shrill urgent blast. The player knows what coming his way !!!
exactly!
Perfect !!!!
I was looking for guide video after videos but this is the best.
Looking for referee whistle signals and heared my favorite musician made me feel that i'm in good place 👌
Serious foul play that warrants a red card you whistle must loud and longer than reckless foul that warrant a yellow card
Thanks. Very Helpful. Just learning to become a referee!
Signal one: saying that you point in the direction of the team that was fouled is misleading. You point in the direction they are playing.
True
In easy words. You signal in the direction of the team which commits foul
Exactly
About to go to my first game this is a really good refresher
Taking the referee course now in my province, thank you for this really helps!
Helpful
I just started as referee
Really Helpful, thanks so much!

Really ,I thank you .
Thanks for the video. Is there a signal when a goal is scored?
Thanks So much
Haha for some reason I have watched all of the tik toks and RUclips videos even though I’m certified 😂 I know the answer for everything😂😂

How did it go!
@@afrini very well!! A lot easier than I thought it would be thanks to this video
No worries. Thanks for watching!
Thank you

Just wanting to correct this video for ref mechanics on /IDFK. After whistling the idfk foul the ref should show first direction of team having kick, then show idfk arm signal. For all idfk's the ref first signals direction of team getting free kick, and then signals by arm held up as to advise what kind of free kick, in this case IDFK.
Quick question, do we have to keep our hand in the air until another player or opponent has made contact with the ball (like offside) or can we put our arm down once the players understand it is an IDFK?
@@green_editz0
Thankyou sir
Hello sir, thank you so much for the sign and signals. I have a doubt regarding offsides. For example, if striker has been already offside and one of the team mate shoot and keeper couldn't catch the ball and the ball went directly to the striker who is already offside and he scored. So in this situation should we consider sticker as offside or not.
Thats offside since a keeper making a save is not considered as a pass or touch from an opposing player since that is considered as a deliberate save. Here is the bit from the laws of the game
A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who
deliberately plays the ball (except from a deliberate save by any opponent) is
not considered to have gained an advantage.
A ‘save’ is when a player stops, or attempts to stop, a ball which is going into or
very close to the goal with any part of the body except the hands/arms (unless
the goalkeeper within the penalty area).
@@pranavmahabal9598 thank you
@@eatandlistenmusic4349 Your welcome
Offside. Ganing an advantage for being in that position. No Goal
Nice
Muito bom
Thank you for the video.
How to avoid confusion in throw-in by hand sign
Point direction against the player of which he/she last touched the ball before it goes out of play over the touch line.
just wondering what whistle you use plz
Fine except for goal kick, keep your hand low and have your park facing the ground, low for goal kick high for corner kick
What whistle do you use
What the different between Indirect and Direct kick?
And what case shall i let them do that
Good
I know the Advantage signal cuz I would binge watch clips of Messi dribbling and when he gets tripped and gets back up imidiately they would do the signal
Yeah
Do u blow the whistle if the ball went out of bounds or no
Nice and lovely it's clear but one of the refree said for agoal kick you can point any side of the goal line but not exactly goal post/in between goal post... true/false..
Dear sir i have a question .- if a goal keeper catch and want to kick the ball, at that time player of opposite team take the ball from goalkeeper from behind and kick on post . So what was decision goal or not ?
If the keeper had the ball in their hands and the opposite team player took the ball that isn't allowed. But if the keeper dropped the ball on accident or it slipped the opposite team still has a chance to score a goal, and it is only a goal if any part of the ball crosses the line in between the goal posts.
@@music_by_abs That didn't answer his question correctly. He asked if you can steal the ball from the GK at the moment he releases the ball from his hands to shoot it. The answer is no.
Law 12, a goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s).
An indirect free kick is awarded if a player prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the vall from the hands or kicks or attempts to kick the ball when the goalkeeprr is in the process of releasing it.
I and other referees will actually caution such if prior warning is ignored.
In younger ages, a goalkeeper usually kicks the ball farther with a punt than a IDFK. Deliberately causing a IDFK may be unsporting behavior. Since the ball is in play, advantage can be played if the attempt to prevent failed and its advantageous to wait and see for a release.
Do you blow your whistle at the start of the game ? What about at the end of the game ?
I have to ref tomorrow for the first time. wish me luck
Bout to start doin red training even though only 14, wish me luck!
how did it go
❤
Thanks for video..my concern is about davantage.....is it right for the player to continue playing after being fouled by opponent
Only if the player who was fouled gained an advantage by being fouled. If player A has the ball, and player B attempts an illegal tackle, but player A retains possession, then that is "advantage". They play on. If player B steals the ball, however, then it's a foul. As always, it's up to the discretion of the referee.
i refed a trial game today and i was so confused but the players got the banter, they cant complain anyways they play u15 and i play u17
As a referee where do you start to put a wall for free kick is it near the penalty area, at the center?
For a free kick the wall can be wherever the defending team wants it as long as it is 10 yards away from the the player taking the free kick
Sir i am from india i want join rafree job i am very interested in this how can i try
Do we've to blew the whistle if the goal scored
What reason by tha indirect free kick
Hello sir I have questions 1.what is refree hand singnal and wistle blow if match is tie and going to panelty shoot out?
2. What is refree signal when goal ?
3. If match was tie and going to panelty shoot out how many time need to blow the whistle 2 or 3 time ?
Please clear this doubt sir
i dont do a sign for goal i just blow my wistle as if to say goooooooal and they know what to do afterwards
👍👍👍
The title of this video should read "become a professional soccer official in 3 minutes and 33 seconds"
What about the goalkeeper comeoff the line when kicker running and the kicker shoot the ball out of the goal and goalkeeper didn't taught the ball. Can retaken.
Which foul must be judged in indirect and which must be judged direct free kick?
How do you like kick how do you be safe
When you get a foul in the box it is a penalty kick and some Referees don’t make my brother penalty at all just because he so fast 💨. What state you referee ? I live in ca ?
What about offsides?
I am a ref in Germany and we have to show a goalkick with a flat hand to the ground
What about the signal for goal?
Not to be nitpicky, but speaking as a retired ref, perhaps he should have also mentioned the signal for 'goal?'
i need to hear the end game whistle sound. the do, do, doooooo
What should we do, if the defender passes directly to keeper and the keeper directly hold the ball also what should we do if the keeper touches with his leg first and the hold/catche the ball
The keeper cannot use their hands when the ball is deliberately passed to them by a teammate. They may play the ball with any part of the body as as field player can.
Even if the dribble the ball into the 18, they still cant use their hands. They cant kick/lift/etc the ball and then use hands.
It is an IDFK if this occurs in the 18, and a DFK outside the 18
Something else came to mind.
If the ball is kicked to the keeper and they pick it up, its IDFK in the 18 and DFK outside of it.
Here's a couple things to do.
Wait! I had a buddy whistle because the keeper was about to pick it up. Problem is, they didn't. So, the restart was a dropped ball due to referee error. This was before the current drop ball rules. Make sure the infringement occurs.
Note law 12 changed and a keeper, who has clearly kicked or attempted to kick the ball, can then use their hands. This is really a hard decision of a referee to explain when applied. I havent had one yet.
Also, DOGSOH is possible on the keeper as IDFK can involve DOGSOH. Doesnt have to be DFK/PK under LOTG.
This is a good example for the referees but what about ‘hand’
How do u signal a handball
0:28 dfk signal should be arm parallel to the ground
I've seen this and slightly elevated, but agree.
When the angle looks more like 45 degrees and the center faces the corner, that cause confusion if its a foul and not a corner restart.

hello i would to know what does it take to be a pro referee? are there any opportunities to become one?
there are academs
Im still so confused . My dad signed me up to be a reff, and i only had half a year of experience in soccer and idk anything abt soccer anymore 😭
Sir plz clear confusion when to give direct free kick n when to give indirect free kick
a direct free kick is when someone has been physically hurt, however an indirect free kick is when verbal abuse has occured, or someone could have been hurt (a foot was dangerously close to kicking someone)
I havent had any sort of training and now i suddenly have to refferee a game with about 10 hours notice and thr worst part is that im only 13 years old...
DFK or IDFK - you are saying you point in the direction of team that was fouled? Shouldn't it be in the direction that the team that was fouled is playing?
Exactly finally someone is saying something, you have to point at the team that made rhe foul
Offside and indirect are not different signals. an indirect free kick is given when a player is called offside, therefore you give the indirect free kick.
Also, before signalling the IDFK, be sure to signal the direction of play.
An arm straight up says the restart is an IDFK, but who gets the kick?
The sequence is whistle, direction of kick, then straight up, for IDFK.
With offsides, some referees will give signals, and point to the AR with the flag up so offsides is recognized. Some leagues ask referees to use this signal so inexperienced coaches and players learn about offside calls.
Experienced players catch the AR signal and know it without the extra signal. Most offensive players know without looking they got caught offside.
And also when he/she did an offense like simulation or the goalkeeper delay play
0:27 is direct free kick
What's a goal kick
1:41 Hey that's a Na zi salute
I live in Sacramento CA. I would like to be a referee. I also play as a goalie. Could you direct me to the right area for training and certification please. Thank you.

did u press the bell icon
But how can I punish the player when he made a mistake
Full time whistle signal plz
What about substitute
What if the GK picks up the ball from a back pass inside his 6 yard box?
That's an indirect free kick awarded to the other team.
@@StephenLau what if It's in the 18 yard, is that a penalty now?
@@johngitongathemarketer6485 no
@@augusssttwhere is the indirect free kick taken then
I am wayy to socially awkward to be referee. Lol I would just stand around like a pole
I thought direct free kick is arm parallel to ground
I love the good old PEEP. PEEP.. PEEEPPP... at the end of the match.
Don't like the final whistles at the Euros this year.. Where its like PEEP....... PEEEPP. You can't hear the third whistle. Not great to hear.
Signel 8: I'm the Ref - extend arm in direction of offender with middle finger raised.
How to clear of no goal, tiebreaker penalty kick?
Why do I always see referees drawing out a circle with their arms before pointing to penalty kick spot ?
Probably for the exact coordination of the penalty kick
What about a signal at the end of the match?
He whistles 3 times
3 whistles, usually short short long.
