Great work so far, I love how excited you get over a good role. I also like the voice inflections while reading the cards! LOL
Thanks Wendy!! Trying to be more creative where I can!!
Fantastic play through. That was a well done and fun episode. Thanks!
Thanks so much Doug!!
First time I've watched your channel. Great presentation/camera work, and explanations!
Thanks so much for watching!! Great game too! :)
Wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy Too Many Bones but this looks great. Thanks for the playthrough.
Glad you are enjoying and thanks for watching!!
Great job! Have been doing Too many Bones Undertow and Hoplomachus Origins. Your play through have gotten me interested in these games.
Nice!! Glad you are enjoying them!!
Ended up deciding to get this for Xmas. Thanks Colin for the gameplay :)
Hope you are enjoying it Sean, it is a good one!
Love your enthusiasm. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!!
Well made playthrough, thanks a lot
Thank you! That was truly helpful to get me going!
Hope you enjoy!
Great video. For anyone who has no experience with Chip Theory Games, nothing compares to the feel of these chips. Easily some of the best components anywhere.
110% agree with this! Thanks for watching Kevin!
Great playthrough. Ghillie is my favourite.
Thanks so much Stefan! Good to hear from you, haven't seen you comment in a while so thanks for watching along!
A nicely produced video. Plus I see you're using your Quiver gaming mat! I have thr burgendy red color and love it. (The mat, that is).
Thanks and awesome! I got a red one as well, using it on my newer video's! Such a great mat!
I love the flavor text on the berries!
The flavor text in this game is on-par to be some of my favorite of all time!
Great episode!
Thanks so much, for watching Jon!!
For this kind of game, the episodic playthrough is nice. 6 more encounters in one video would be too much I think. Nice job :)
Thanks Sylvain! It looks like it will depend upon the length of the video's so if they will be over 30+ minutes I might break them into two. Thanks for watching!
I love the new music!
Good I got a 1 yr subscription to a royalty free music location, whohoo! So new music will be the norm now!
Great video!!
Thanks for watching!!
Well I'm hooked this game looks amazing. I enjoyed the playthrough and have to say this game is definitely being added to the wish list. How many playable characters are there to choose from?
Good to hear! The game comes with 4 characters, with 3 additional ones you can add. Ghillie is an add-on character. But with 7 characters and all the different encounter cards and skills etc. I would say this game has pretty decent replayability! Thanks for watching Steve!
Episodic for me. More frequent bite-sized chunks means less time between episodes =D
That is also a very good point!! Thanks for commenting David!
This hyped and prepared me (like all your videos do) for my first game of TMB, which I just got. ;) stupid question: this Golem seems op, what would you have done with a gearloc who has no companion?
Not sure!! At this point I hardly remember this playthrough!!
@@OneStopCoopShopThat’s understandable. 😂 Sorry for this late question. Hope you are doing fine! What are your top solo games atm you’d recommend? Kind regards from Germany!
Not a problem at all!! Currently still digging Mage Knight and some Kinfire for solo!!
Although it is hard to wait for the next one, I like the episodic format better than one long video. This lets me view them in chunks when I have time, rather than one long video that I may have to FWD through due to time constraints. :)
Great to know thanks Wendy!!
Isn't Ghillie's innate ability to scout an enemy every day? That's separate from the scout or heal or trade loot choice.
That is 100% correct! Did you see me forget to scout? Highly probable, so let me know so I can make a note!
Why did you exhaust your attack dies? I thought the only dice that get exhausted are ability dice?
It has been so long I don't remember sold this one back in 2018 I think
So, theoretically, according to this link (www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/149889/too-many-bones-windows-download-information), a guy made Too Many Bones as a windows program and Chip Theory Games is letting him (encouraging him to) make it available free of charge. Beta testing versions should be available in like a week.
I have heard of that!! Sounds awesome!!
Wow missed the boat on this one. Nowhere to be found other than 2 copies on ebay for almost 300 bucks. :( Looks perfect for me.
Yeah it is not a cheap game for sure... you can always buy it at chip theory website! Check it out!
How do you feel about this game now? Does it still hold up after several play throughs? Thinking of investing but WOW, what an investment. Just wanna make sure I am getting a good bang for the buck. Thank you Collin for all that you do.
Thanks for watching Joseph! Considering I sold this game almost a year ago. . . it did not have lasting power for me. Some people still REALLY enjoy it, but I found it to be too repetitive and I was able to buy 3 games for the price of 1. . Hope that helps!
@@OneStopCoopShop Big help, Thanks for your reply.. I am really into solo adventure type games and this one I was worried would become to "samey" after awhile. I trust your opinion on this and thank you for your help.
@@OneStopCoopShop 100%. I keep trying it again to justify it because it was a gift and I hate selling gifts, but everything just feels the same. No story, just building character stats and chucking the same dice over and over.
I'm curious - Do you like Cloudspire? I was debating giving chip theory another chance, but it seems more of the same.
@@DadGotGamez this is Mike. I don't think Colin's played Cloudspire, but it's a great game for me. That said, it's definitely not a narrative game, if you are looking for strong story. We have 3 or 4 playthroughs on the channel, if you want to check one of them and see what you think.
@@OneStopCoopShop Mike - your game play tends to be in line with mine. What were your thoughts on TMB vs Cloudspire?
Why start in a position where the breaker could reach you turn 1?
TBH I am not sure! Who knows what I was thinking at that point. . . Really should have tried to stay away. . .
Well, turned out fine regardless, just made it a bit more interesting than necessary ;)
Just trying to keep it fun hahaha!!
Do you still enjoy tmb? Im on the fence about getting it.
I'm not sadly but others such as Mike really enjoy it now! So it seems it can be good just wasn't for me!
Yeah it’s a top 5 game for me. I own it all :)
- Mike
Donn't the wolverine's Hardy trait would have prevented the damage?
Otherwise, great start!
Which part are you referring too? The Hardy ability limits damage to 1 per turn. Each baddie gets a "turn" and each Gearloc gets a "turn" so if 3 baddies attack the Wolverine, he will take 3 points of damage. Conversly, if a 20 point baddie hits the Wolverine with 8 attack dice, he will take a maximum of 1 damage. Hope that clarifies!
Is this the original version of TMB? I know I'm 6 years late but i just bought my first ever copy of the game. Boomer is the only ranged Gearloc. What happened to your dude, Ghillie?
Ghillie is an expansion gearloc, sold separately. In the base set yes, boomer is the only ranged character, though tantrum sometimes feels ranged once he starts throwing axes everywhere 😜
@@OneStopCoopShop Ahhhh.. ok. I haven't set it up yet.. Saturday will be my christening... Wish me luck!
@wkutella you’ll do great!
Which is your top fav solo game of 2017??
Oh man, THAT is a hard question! So far, I think I lean towards Anachrony! Too Many Bones though is right up there as well!! How about you?
So far "Gloom Of Kilforth", I do have a few games coming this year so am looking forward to those too :-)
Thank you for asking me too :-)
Gloom of Kilforth is AMAZING!! The story it provides and the gameplay itself is so much fun! I just wish the dice rolling wasn't so prevalent in this game! Thanks for watching!
Color me interested...
