Hi! Hope you have fun with the game! Sorry I was busy from my other channel! I hope you will appreciate those. Took me 6 hours to do all of those assembly. Have a good day!
I think the reason why Ogerpon is a female-only species is because she’s based not only on the ogre in Momotaro, but also on the _Hannya_ mask. It’s a common mask in traditional Japanese theatre that depicts an oni baring its teeth. And it’s worn exclusively by women and usually used to represent a lady reaching her breaking point and becoming a monster. In addition, the eyes of the _hannya_ mask are designed to look sad, to show that despite her terrifying appearance, she’s lonely and sorrowful inside, and never wanted to be seen as a monster- just like Ogerpon. And to top it off, all of Ogerpon’s masks are based on the various masks that are worn in traditional Japanese theater.
Ogerpon is to me one of the best legendaries for the simple reason that they make us bond with it and show it's backstory in the same way they did with koraidon/miraidon, hope they continue doing this in the next games!
Honestly the "Memories of a old partner grants Ogrepon strength" made me feel so bad for her, she's practically immortal and grieving her original friend and partner :( At least she has everyone on her side now and a trainer she loves too
Literally the “answer” to this games story is the friends we made along the way. We get sent on a treasure hunt to find a treasure that isn’t specific and at the end of the story we have made 4 friends (Nemona, arven , penny and miraidon/koraidon) and then the dlc we make friends with Ogerpon and carmine in teal mask and then indigo disk we make friends with Kieran properly. It’s literally “the true treasure was the friends we made along the way” and it’s done so well
@@Toaster1085.Exactly!! The entirety of Pokemon is about making friends with people and Pokemon, so having that as the message is so well executed instead of being overly cliché
@@usernamethecringelady I known people wanted Ash to be retired but considering SV's story I honestly think it is a massive missed opportunity for a Paldea season with Ash, between Nemona, the dons and Ogerpon they all would really work well with Ash as a character but don't really work well with the Horizons cast

To be honest, I feel like she would have an ability to negate fairy types immunity to dragon type attacks just so she could perform outrage against the stupid bird. She could already switch to three other distinct types, so why not capitalize?
@@mazinsanikthough techically they need the masks to change types, maybe instead just say Ogrepon just used the moves it can learn from the other masks types like rock tomb and such, or that through sheer will she crit them so badly they just instantly died even with 2 times less damage.
This fight, right here? I want Legendary battles to be tests of endurance and teambuilding all the time now, because this fight was great both narratively and mechanically.
@@stallsunguy3064I mean, the game doesn't just throw you into the fight so everyone would've healed regardless. So it doesn't make that much of a difference.
I like having to have an actual boss fight with the legendary before catching it, rather than the usual 'catching this legendary is exactly the same as catching a regular pokemon'
I do too, maybe not EVERY legendary going THIS far, but it's gonna be hard to go back to normal legendaries after the masterpiece that was the Ogerpon battle Edit: By "Not every legend" I mostly mean I doubt it'll be stretched out to FOUR distinct phases so often
*Before Ogrepon's face reveal* : "Eh, i don't really care for this pokemon." *After Ogrepon's face reveal* : "If anything happens to her, I'll kill everyone in this game and then myself!"
Ogerpon is, by far, one of my favorite Pokémon. And this OST tells you everything about her. She's fierce, she's serene, she's unwavering, but most of all... She is the most loyal Pokémon in Kitagami. She never forgot about her friend and the memories they shared, without those masks she loses a part of herself. But now, she's living on, finally able to mingle with the people of Kitagami. Like the game says... "Memories of an old partner grants Ogerpon strength."
I’m shocked at how adorable Ogerpon is. That little face makes her look like such a cinnamon roll, which was not what I was expecting when I first saw Ogerpon
I thought Ogerpon was gonna be huge when I first saw her, the way she carries herself mid battle makes you think with no context that she’s a big brute, the marketing did a good job playing on the “looks pure evil” thing by making you think Ogerpon is gonna be the big bad in the trailers and the way shes portrayed in the trailers, just like the village people, you have been misguided into thinking this innocent creature is evil and savage I like it
feel like that's supposed to be the plot twist when we first arrived we're told she's this ugly scary monster who'll steal your soul away if you don't have a mask, then we encounter her during the festival and because she's so happy and cheerful we mistake her for a child only to see she's actually a pokemon and is quite friendly (and timid without her mask on) still makes me question the villagers reaction to her without her mask on in the past making her look like some deformed creature when she's extremally adorable (one of the local girls even say's she's cute when the village finally learns the truth)
> Memories of her father gave Ogerpon the strength to face her past. > The shackles binding her heart have been broken! > Ogerpon can now tap into the full power of her Persona!
would her persona be Momotaro in reference to her inspiration or maybe the red and blue oni in reference to a legend showing oni/ogres in a more positive light
@@elsleazo9592 Oh really? Huh, interesting. I guess I just kind of assumed they did then. Oh well, fight was still fun anyway~ I had Pokemon that were a little overlevel for the fight (in the 80 range) and still had a few KO'd, so it could have been pretty tough anyway I suppose~
Same. Granted, my Level 100 Miraidon (wanted to fight it 1 on 1 with another Legendary I befriended) steamrolled her but it was still fun and another memorable boss fight!
One of my favorite parts of this battle is the order Ogerpon dons the Masks, as they tell Ogerpon’s story: She leads with the Hearthflame Mask, an embodiment of her rage and fury towards the Loyal Three for stealing the treasures of her and her friend, and this rage could also extend to the village for rejecting them. The Wellspring Mask embodies Ogerpon’s grief and sorrow of the loss of her friend and crippling loneliness due to being framed as the villain of a story she suffered so much pain. Her isolation led on for centuries until the player arrives in Kitakami. The Cornerstone Mask embodies Ogerpon’s revived determination and willpower to retrieve the stolen Masks from those who wronged her, and to hopefully right those wrongs. Finally, The Teal Mask embodies the conclusion of Ogerpon’s solitude. She has spent years alone, melancholy and hopeless of any bright future for herself, and we come along to bring her sorrow to its tardy end. The Mask is Ogerpon: She’s finally ready to re-insert herself into the happiness she’s been starved for centuries. The Mask expresses a hopeful, exhilarated smile of sorrow: leaving one life behind, but starting anew in another…
Teal Mask is the mask she had when she sneaked into the village with her first companion as well as the one Carmine and Kieran's grandpa restored. It may be symbolical to the journey ending where it began: with the teal mask
I love how festive and playful this song is - because that's what this battle is, essentially. You and Ogrepon having some fun before you finally catch her.
I didn't expect Ogerpon's real face to be this cute. Not only are they cute, but they also come in a variety of shapes, so you'll end up feeling incredibly attached to them. The songs are Japanese-style, wonderful, rhythmic, and fun!
FINALLY....the legendary "prove your worth" battle is an actual boss fight and not a master ball button press simulator! This is how every legendary fight should happen! Especially making this a 4 parter with Ogerpon reviving herself so the battle would continue. Took them 9 and a half generations to FINALLY do this!
We had a few situations like that in Legends: Arceus. Giratina and Primal Dialga/Palkia come to mind. We also had ORAS, where we had to battle Primal Groudon/Kyogre before we could ball 'em up. SwSh had Eternatus, which we had to defeat twice _immediately_ after Leon had already beaten it.
Let's Go games also forced you to battle the legendary Pokemon before you could catch them as well, though that was because of the game's catching mechanic.
I love that when you send her out against Pecharunt, she's out for blood, and to get revenge for her previous trainer, because Pecharunt had ruined her life
As a whole, gen 9 has arguably handled *acquiring* legendary Pokémon the best in the series. Koraidon/Miraidon and Ogerpon being the story reward legendaries (With the AI’s “Raidon” being an extra bonus), but you organically spend alot of time with them through the story and build a bond with them so it feels like you’re not just earning the strength of a super strong Pokémon but also a friend. Ogerpon even has a four phase boss fight in order to catch her, with anime memory power ups between phases for added story telling. The Treasures of Ruin take advantage of the open world to send you on a scavenger hunt to break their seals, and even after finding the stakes, you might still need to find the seal itself, plus they have a tie to a character (Raifort) which is always appreciated. And the Lousy Three had surprisingly tough titan battles during the story, now why couldn’t the main game titans get stat boosts? Also, Ogerpon is adorable. I named her Ai because she has Oshi No Ko eyes.
I used normal Pokeball......now I fell bad for that...😢 Well in my defence when I capture a Pokemon with a normal ball normally I will use them in my team. So I'll take good care of Ogerpon 😊
I get through the first mask: "okay that is don..." Ogerpon puts on a second mask: "Wait you can't do that." Defeated the second mask: "wouldn't it be funny if i fought all her masks" Ogerpon puts on the third mask: "I was kidding!" To be honest, i had a blast with this dlc and fight. This is a fun game
I love how legendary aren't just very powerful and rare pokemon that get used by the villain at the end now but just rare pokemon you bond with while your journey. Firstly mi/koraidon and now ogerpon, that's really cool and give them more character than before. (And yet there's still people who just say having the legendary as the "bike" waste everything).
@@Nightwalker065 Nebby was to a lesser extent as it was with Lillie the whole journey. The Player and Lillie basically served as Nebby’s parents, with Nebby preferring Lillie.
Can't say I love all the recent changes to pokemon as a franchise, but this new thing of actually giving the legendary character development, this I like!
Honestly, Ogerpon might be the best Legendary Pokémon and Pokémon story to this day. It builds up everything slowly with the board information, letting you focus on your growing friendship with a new friend who wants to better understand the Ogre, which in turn could help him understand himself. Then we discover the truth of Ogerpon. The crippling sadness and lonely life she's been living for centuries because of other people's misunderstanding and other Pokémon's greed over what they want but shouldn't have. Then we get to travel with her, help her recover the parts of herself that made her the Legendary Pokémon that she is. Through it all, we grow as a character, as does Kieran and Carmine. We see Carmine's softer side and Kieran's more rough side. His desire to train Ogerpon isn't just a shoehorn. We understand his desperation and desire to become her new Trainer, since we saw it grow throughout Kitakami. But he has it taken away because we have a better understanding of battling. After beating him for the final time, he recognises that she needs someone as strong as her to be her new trainer. Turning to her, she stands ready... And then the music kicks in against her. Fun to start, almost chirpy, until the more intense guitar and drums kick in. And you rememebr that this isn't a weak little child. This is a Legendary Pokémon who, even when at a disadvantage, beat three other Legendary Pokémon singlehandedly. Plus I get huge Mustard vibes from her theme which is always welcome. Favourite Pokémon of all time and probably always will be 🥰
Honestly, I love this fight. It's the closest we get to fighting a team of wild Pokémon detached from a trainer with Ogerpon's four forms and health bars, which took the substantial efforts of my whole team to best. I was hoping we'd get that when the Lousy Three show up and Munkidori attacks you with the other two watching, but instead the fighting broke up after just beating him, which was disappointing, and then Ogerpon stepped up because she ain't no COWARD. It was the moment that made Ogerpon easily one of my favorite Legendary Pokémon.
To be fair, they were thieves, displaying all the loyalty you'd expect from thugs when the odds turned against them, while Ogerpon showed who she really was. It proves beyond any doubt that the Lousy Three never deserved to be called 'loyal.'
The even bigger twist is that she was a victim of three thieves and murderers first. Bullying is what Ogerpon became a victim of after those three resurrected, going after Ogerpon to get revenge on her for killing them after they robbed the masks and killed her friend. Ogerpon deserves all the hugs.
Ogerpon is quite possibly the most precious soul I've ever come across... Lonely and dejected by all who she's forced to share this land with, because of a trio of greedy bandits decided to pillage from her, even taking her previous trainer/owner's life in the process. Now finally able to let her true colors shine again because she met someone who she could have a clean slate with. And she never gives up on anything, as shown in this last battle, always finding a strong reason to continue fighting. I ended up catching her in the most fitting ball, the Friend Ball, and gave her the name "Ivory" after her "Ivy Cudgel" move and her Masks. And I won't ever dare take her off my team.
I love how both Ogerpon's theme and Koraidon/Miraidon's theme incorporate the first four notes of Victory Lies Before You at the beginning. It's a little thing that helps the themes sell the triumphant moments that they represent.
See I wasn't planning on fatherhood, but then the DLC dumped this friend-shaped little sweet bean dumpling in front of me and I was like "Welp, I don't have a choice. I'm gonna parent this ogre like no one's parented before." 10000/10 Legendary of all time I love her so much oh my god.
Gamefreak: here, adopt this adorable magic child. Players: she’s so cute! Gamefreak: she will kick your ass and has more buffs than eevee has evolutions. Players: WE LOVE HER!
(Nerd Mode on) It's a kanabo, a large club set with metal spikes or studs. Normally carried by Oni in folklore (which are one of Ogerpon's inspirations), the kanabo also saw rare use on actual battlefields. (Nerd Mode off)
Poor Ogerpon. Shunned by the villagers alongside her companion. Her companion and the mask maker have always been there for her. Until she finds her den home in ruins, three of the masks stolen, and her companion gone. She wanted justice for her companion, so she payback the "Loyal" Three for what they did to her home and her friend and for stealing the masks. Only to be regarded as the villainous ogre in the Kitakami folklore.
I don't know if anyone else thought this, but I consider Ogerpon the Pokemon version of Meta Knight. -Both wear a scary looking mask. -Both are adorable underneath their masks. -Both are powerful fighters. -Both run away after their face reveal. (Meta Knight ALWAYS does this after you defeat him) -Meta Knight has multiple swords (4 in Epic Yarn and 2 in Forgotten Land), while Ogerpon has multiple masks (Hearthflame, Wellspring, Cornerstone, and Teal).
I LOVE THIS Meta Knight has almost always been one of if not my favourite video game character, and I LOVE Ogerpon for multiple reasons, so hearing this just makes me love them even more! X3 So thank you, it's truee, I agree!
This fight was done beautifully. A fight against all the mask forms and Ogerpon using her memories to power herself was genius. She’s never leaving my team.
Especially knowing it takes place in Unova (BB Academy is there, so we won't actually set foot on Unova but once we're within the walls of BB Academy, you could think that over there, just at the horizon, is the coast of Undella Town or Humilau)
@@Flapjack3734 Well I dont think we'll see the performance fixed, but the good news is you are required to beat Teal Mask to even start Indigo Disk, so theres a chance it starts in the high 70's up to some obscene levels.
@@The_Pikaboi If worst comes to worst and the level scaling isn’t that significant from the end of Teal Mask, I’ll have to build a 4th playthrough team with the Indigo Disk exclusive pokemon (I built 2 teams for the main game; one for gym challenges and one for team star/titan battles, then built a new team for the Teal Mask since both previous teams were now in the 80 level range)
This game has been super good about allowing us to bond with the Legendaries. Wonder how we'll get to bond with Terapagos. Edit: Welp. So much for wishful thinking.
I started a whole new team for the Teal Mask, so this fight was surprisingly hard. Fantastic though, I was forced to cycle through every member of my team to adapt to the type changes. Hope we get something like this with Terapagos.
My new team was able to one, two shot, three shot, and then my last mon took 4 turns to finish it. I had a grass, water, and pokemon with fire move for each form.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but the masks represent the very emotions Ogerpon felt throughout her whole ordeal that lead up to this point: Wellspring Mask: Sadness and Pain, Grief and Sorrow. Her trainer being robbed and killed, her revenge mission successful, but she felt completely empty. Cornerstone Mask: Inner Loneliness and perhaps signifying "putting up walls to mask her pain" so to speak. Hearthflame Mask: The intense rage, hatred and fury, the burning desire for vengeance against the bastards who murdered her beloved trainer. Teal Mask: The joy and happiness she felt when she was together with her trainer, and the satisfaction of killing the punks who crossed her. But Ogerpon would not truly find closure until she met a new trainer who would love her for who she was deep down.
Such a sweet little creature! Kicked three bullies' ass, dealt with the trauma of losing a dear partner and still reaches out to the player character... Baby girl, baby! (That fight was amazing and I will love her forever!)
I loved the battle with Ogerpon! I was not expecting it to have multiple phases, so it was fun to try and work around that! Here's hoping Terapagos is just as fun!
I still can't believe how easily she destroyed my team💀Right after destroying me emotionally, I was not expecting to like her at all. But her story is so good, she's super cute, and her theme is one of the best in the game
I love Ogerpon's theme. It fits her character perfectly. It's like the anime protagonist's theme that plays when they're fighting the villain and the song makes it just EPIC and fills your heart with hope because you know that the protagonist has a fierce, strong heart of gold and will win against the villain
Ogrepon chose us, the protagonist, because she was also originally from a foreign land, and thus saw us more like her original partner and wanted to travel again. Kieran, on the other hand, is a descendant of the maskmaker, and so Ogerpon saw Kieran just as she saw the maskmaker: the local friend.
Honestly, Ogerpon’s probably got some real untapped power that we don’t know about. She somehow terastalized herself four times in a row, no orb required…
Nope for me. I LOVE ogerpon and she will surely be in my new favorite pokemon ever, but she's not going to top tinkaton, at least for now. (Funny how they're both female)
Poor girl's been through so much. All those years back, the villagers hated her and her friend because they're both "scary". And then the LOUSY three decides to break in to their house and steal their masks while killing her friend. She did finally kill them but the villagers were horrified of the angry ogre so she went back to the mountain for many many years of loneliness, only enjoying the festivals in secret and with her mask on. Im happy to have caught her and give her some company after all these years.
The Oni(Little)sister got incredibly bouncy and funky battle theme! She really happy that finally she no longer a villain and got all of her masks back!
@@ariekazami4213 I wanted to go with a Donbrothers theme for the DLC but accidentally got attached to a Yanma that saved me early on. Plan on going full Donbros on my second file though
A fellow Sentai enjoyer, much respect. I took the liberty to name each of the Lousy Three after the Don Brothers. If I get a second Ogerpon, I’ll name her Oni Sister. For now, the one I have is named Ponyo
Ever stop and wonder just how horrific and dark Ogerpon's story really is? The legend painted her as a monster who fought with three guardians who gave their lives to drive her off. The truth is much worse. The three "guardians" were thieves, and went after Ogerpon's trainer to steal the masks. He refused to give them to the three, and so they killed him. Like... straight up killed the guy. Ogerpon, grief stricken, goes looking for revenge and kills them before living a life in seclusion for an undetermined amount of time until she finds something she didn't expect... Another trainer from Paldea, just like her old friend.
After seeing what Ogerpon really looks like, I instantly awed. She looks so cute and I love how her eyes have stars. Ogerpon is the cutest pokemon in Paldea, well in my opinion :3
Ogrepon within just a matter of days became one of my top 10 Pokemon of all time, deada$$. UUUGHHH she looks so cute, and I love the way she just runs around and smiles! :')
Ogerpon is the cutest thing ever I love her so much Named mine Ponyo with a friend ball :) both because the colors matched and that she has gained a new friend after so long
I also wanted to go with a friend ball but didn’t have any more. So I went with a luxury ball to make up for all the time she spent in exile all alone in the Dreaded Den
I don't know what it is with Gen 9 and having designs that you look at and think 'this is literal perfection, I instantly love this'. Between this and Tinkaton the gen 9 pokedex might be one of my favourites. And Ogerpon's entire story is so tragic. Losing her friend because of some greedy bastards who become idols, being hated from virtually day one because they were simply from elsewhere. It felt so good having her follow us around as we beat up the Loyal Three. And the fight for you to catch her is so fun, switching between the masks as she reflects on her life and memories brings a tear to the eye. Its far from the hardest fight but its one of those that just makes you feel good. The theme reflects this atmosphere perfectly, that guitar screams of a triumphant warrior overcoming years of hardship to test your strength in a fair one on one battle. I especially appreciate when the them takes a breath (1:06) reflecting the contemplative thoughts of this legendary between phases before switching masks and taking you on once more.
the minute i saw ogerpon's design amd color I've already decided to give it friend ball just because the design of the ball and ogerpon herself works well but now after finishing the story I'm more confident that Yes, friend ball is THE ball for her
I love how we all collectively have two braincells and each are committed to the following thoughts: Ogerpon is friend shaped and deserves all of the love. Friend Ball forever.
so it's been confirmed canonically Ogerpon wiped four poison types in the teal mask. just due to rage. I don't know about yall she is a queen in my eye
This fight reminded me of OoT Link- specifically as he appears in Majora's Mask. Ogerpon's a child dressed in green, who uses a set of four masks to adjust to different situations. Up to and including the fact that Fierce Deity Link is called "Oni Link" in Japan, and Ogerpon is based on oni. Heck, her masks have rough analogues to Link's- Hearthflame: Goron Link. Goron Link has firey punches, and dishes out the most pain. The Hearthflame mask turns Ogerpon Fire type, and boosts Attack. Wellspring: Zora Link. Not only are they both Water aspected, but Zora Link has the most "supernatural" type of shield- an electric barrier, and the Wellspring mask raises Sp. Def. Cornerstone: Deku Link. A bit of an odd one, but Deku Link is not just earth elemental- his shield blocks attacks from every direction, befitting the Cornerstone mask's Def boost. Furthermore, it's the only form that has a means of taking down flying enemies from further away than the boomerang. without requiring arrows- the bubbles. So Deku Link is effective against flying enemies, like how Rock beats Flying. Original: Fierce Deity Link. Fierce Deity Link can shred through foes with great speed, and is the form that most closely resembles Link's original form. The Original mask boosts Ogerpon's Speed, and is the mask that most closely resembles her own face.
Ogrepon is kind of how legendary battles should be. You're not just going to throw a ball out and play possum as you steadily weaken it, this is meant to mean something, to cement the bond between you.
YO! This theme slaps HARD! I love the traditional Japanese instruments that are mixed in here. Ogerpon is my new favourite legendary pokemon. I'm gonna keep her on my team, she is just too cute 😍.
recently i realized something... ogerpon is a grass type. the loyal three were brought back from the dead. teal mak is pretty much... plants vs zombies!!!
Ah yes, the music where you adopt a child centuries after she was ostracized, orphaned and savagely murdered 3 Pokemon, all while at the expence of giving another child traumatic self-confidence and anger issues.
I love how after each mask it brings back memories of Ogerpons past, until she finally remembers battling alongside you to bring justice to clear her name. I did feel bad that Kieran couldn't get Ogerpon, but we have the power of being the main character so...
If only the epilogue included some short scene of Kieran making peace with Ogerpon. Like just Kieran apologizing for being possessive and Ogerpon opening up a bit to him because she's not that shy anymore
One of the best things that Sw/Sh did was making legendaries memorable. From Zacian and Zamazenta, Calyrex and even Urshifu and Eternatus, the major legendaries have now great stories or backstories, or a big bond with the player
SV’s Legendary Pokémon are a bit more memorable than the SWSH variants because they have narrative and environmental influence in the story. Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, and Calyrex are just abridged legends whose powers and identities were censored from history - the sword, the shield, the Darkest Day, and the forgotten king of Galar. Urshifu is just a gift Pokémon you raise up for Mustard to test you in the dojo and graduate from his teachings. The Regis are just a footnote in the CT while the two steeds are only a passing threat in the story, only being a real danger in Freezington for a single scene. Koraidon and Miraidon are your mounts in the story and the impetus of Arven’s story and bond with you. Nemona becomes fascinated by the Pokémon when you are trapped with it in the cave, and the dragon bonds with Penny until it gets its story focus in The Way Home. Ogerpon and the Loyal 3 are actively worshipped and/or feared in Kitakami, with the legendary standoff between the two factions shaping everything from the festival games and masks to the signposts, the Ogre Clan, and even the names of certain areas (Oni Mountain, Loyalty Plaza). Even the Ruinous Pokémon are taught in the history lessons of the academy and you need to go on a quest to find the stakes and seals.

How does that meme go...
She protec
She attac
but most importantly,
She send the lousy three straight to heck
I thought Ogerpon was gonna be huge when I first saw her, the way she carries herself mid battle makes you think with no context that she’s a big brute, the marketing did a good job playing on the “looks pure evil” thing by making you think Ogerpon is gonna be the big bad in the trailers and the way shes portrayed in the trailers, just like the village people, you have been misguided into thinking this innocent creature is evil and savage
I like it
feel like that's supposed to be the plot twist when we first arrived we're told she's this ugly scary monster who'll steal your soul away if you don't have a mask, then we encounter her during the festival and because she's so happy and cheerful we mistake her for a child only to see she's actually a pokemon and is quite friendly (and timid without her mask on) still makes me question the villagers reaction to her without her mask on in the past making her look like some deformed creature when she's extremally adorable (one of the local girls even say's she's cute when the village finally learns the truth)
I thought Ogerpon was kinda ugly before its face reveal, but when her mask fell off the stairs, that's when I knew I was wrong about her.

@@dnmstarsi using a level 100 miraidon for the dlc is so cringe 😭
One of my favorite parts of this battle is the order Ogerpon dons the Masks, as they tell Ogerpon’s story:
She leads with the Hearthflame Mask, an embodiment of her rage and fury towards the Loyal Three for stealing the treasures of her and her friend, and this rage could also extend to the village for rejecting them.
The Mask expresses a hopeful, exhilarated smile of sorrow: leaving one life behind, but starting anew in another…
That is beautifully deep.
Teal Mask is the mask she had when she sneaked into the village with her first companion as well as the one Carmine and Kieran's grandpa restored. It may be symbolical to the journey ending where it began: with the teal mask
@@thehermit8618Actually it's her human friend who used to wear the Teal Mask. She used to wear the Cornerstone Mask.

I have to disagree. We had Giratina in legends Arceus. And 4 phase boss fight isn't always good
We had a few situations like that in Legends: Arceus. Giratina and Primal Dialga/Palkia come to mind.

@@ImFangzBroHECK YES Agreed!!
The twist that Ogerpon is a victim of three bullies who were treated as false heroes is simply interesting if we see the original Momotaro's tale.
I will protect you against any danger, m’lady
Ogerpon: I’m not in danger, I AM the danger! Have you seen my kit?
I feel bad. I caught her with a Dusk Ball because I didn't know how to get the Friend Ball at the time ;^;
I love how both Ogerpon's theme and Koraidon/Miraidon's theme incorporate the first four notes of Victory Lies Before You at the beginning. It's a little thing that helps the themes sell the triumphant moments that they represent.

Poor Ogerpon. Shunned by the villagers alongside her companion. Her companion and the mask maker have always been there for her. I don't know if anyone has noticed but the masks represent the very emotions Ogerpon felt throughout her whole ordeal that lead up to this point:
Wellspring Mask: Sadness and Pain, Grief and Sorrow.

I especially appreciate when the them takes a breath (1:06) reflecting the contemplative thoughts of this legendary between phases before switching masks and taking you on once more.
the minute i saw ogerpon's design amd color I've already decided to give it friend ball just because the design of the ball and ogerpon herself works well but now after finishing the story I'm more confident that Yes, friend ball is THE ball for her
THE M IN AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN N THE FIRST TIME!
I love how we all collectively have two braincells and each are committed to the following thoughts:
Ogerpon is friend shaped and deserves all of the love.
Friend Ball forever.
This was actually a challenge for me. I only used pokemon i caught in the dlc and that fire masks decimated half my team
I was just looking for this! Perfect timing!! Thank you so much
i wasnt expecting a four phase boss fight to catch a legendary, but it was absolutely worth it to bring this little forest gremlin under my wing
so it's been confirmed canonically Ogerpon wiped four poison types in the teal mask. just due to rage. I don't know about yall she is a queen in my eye
This little ogre child has a baseball bat and silly mask. She's capable of slaying immortal beings.
Heck, her masks have rough analogues to Link's-
Hearthflame: Goron Link.
Omg, she has a new cute thumbnail. :D
They finally put official art for all Ogerpon forms
Also for Gouging Fire, Iron Boulder, and Hydrapple
He*
@@TubbiebeanHunterAF wait bro, Ogerpon is actually a girl
She’s so cute!!!!!!! Ogerpon needs ALL of the hugs!!!!
Ogrepon is kind of how legendary battles should be. You're not just going to throw a ball out and play possum as you steadily weaken it, this is meant to mean something, to cement the bond between you.
OGERPON IS SO FUCKING CUTE HOW DID THEY FEAR IT
YO! This theme slaps HARD! I love the traditional Japanese instruments that are mixed in here.
Ogerpon is my new favourite legendary pokemon. I'm gonna keep her on my team, she is just too cute 😍.
Throwing a Gardevoir at Ogerpon is like matching the prom queen agaisnt the art club president in a box fight.
I love how new legendaries are more cute and lovable instead of the typical intimadting beast that just stands in a cave.
recently i realized something...
ogerpon is a grass type.
the loyal three were brought back from the dead.
teal mak is pretty much... plants vs zombies!!!
I LIVE for the multi-phase fights. Beat us up more Pokémon! We love that!
The fact that her nature is always lonely got me
One of the best things that Sw/Sh did was making legendaries memorable.
@@nedrostram2360 Eternatus is more than just The Darkest Day, it's also a primordial cosmic virus that haves destroyed multiple planets in a quest to gain enough power to get revenge on Arceus
@@jeanduresauthe only part you got right was it was a virus from outer space. Not once was it stated it’s got beef with Arceus. What ass did you pull that out of
@@jeanduresauwhen was this established?
@@WARlord1903 Is implied once you research and investigate about the lore of the Giants that Arceus defeated at the beginning of existence
Me: Okey well she's a pure grass type with a cute design, shouldn't be a difficult battle
Ogerpon process to use ALL FOUR MASKS with type changes
Me: ... I like this one
I can’t even explain how much care I have for Ogerpon. The poor baby has been through so much. Also Kieran is totally gonna turn evil and I am totally gonna beat him up with Ogerpon because heehee irony.
I really don’t want Kieran to hate us for catching his favourite Pokémon
@@blastoise3568 that’s his fault. Ogerpon could have chosen him but his motives for wanting it probably weren’t ogerpons favorite
I love everything about Ogerpon!
