No you totally can! I have long thin hair and it works 😊 it creates a lot of body and movement and makes it look thicker. Having bangs helps too to create depth.
What would you recommend for people with wavy hair? There will still be frizz and such left unfortunately, but it might work for people with naturally straight hair 🤷♀️
@@oddball1336 From what I know oil helps to keep the frizz away but it depends on the person cause for me oils have increased frizz (unless I’m using bad oils or smth) so I stopped using it But if you want to achieve a similar look it depends on your texture and how prone it is to heat (flat iron or regular blowout is the best way) but for a heatless method you can put your hair in rollers or flexirods as it’s damp with your regular leave in conditioner (if you use it) and a bit of gel or mousse and leave overnight or longer (I go 2 days since I don’t have a blow dryer) and when it feels mostly dry take it down and only comb it through a bit since you want it to last That’s the best I can think of tho there are probably other methods you can try (sock method, heatless curls using a rod thingy I forgot the name of etc) Hope it helps!
@@oddball1336 with damp hair i've been using the redken anti frizz and then after it's dry / semi styled or styled fully i use the paul mitchell super skinny serum and it's a godsend edit: i would also invest in a good heat protectant, i started using more heat protectant and it's been helping. just spend the money and get good well known products. it's your hair, it deserves the best! one more thing i want to add is practicing technique. make sure to angle the blow dryer DOWN. pretend like you're straightening your hair with a blow dryer. focus on drying the root first because for me, that's where i get the most frizz. u got this! 🫶
@@oddball1336sorry for the late reply, but this is what I do for my wavy/curly hair. I use the not your mother’s 10-in-1 for my hair and it keeps it looking good no matter what k do
@@dwi5582 it’s intentional. If someone wanted a more defined style, you wouldn’t alternate the directions in small sections, which is what breaks up the style into a bouncy, cute bedhead style.
This is a really fun technique I’ve never seen before. Usually I try slipping up the ends of my hair but all I’m the same direction, and it doesn’t give that tousled look. I will try this!
One tip be careful when taking the Velcro rollers out! Grab the hair at the roots and slowly and unwrap the roller. This will stop hair loss from pulling rollers out.😅
For the velcro rollers if you take smaller sections only the width of the roller and not wider they don't get stuck. I learned that from Kayley Melissa and I have not had a problem.
i do this all the time! also a tip: use some mousse to get that really beautiful 90s blow out as the mousse will help the shape that your velcro created last really long
Thank you so much! I recently got curtain bangs. I had no idea how to style them until I found your videos! Your techniques are straightforward and easy to reproduce. Thank you!
This is what we used to do before blow outs were as popular as they are now, because blow outs was an old thing and straighteners came out. But now blow outs are back because people want less heat damage
I saw that Audrey Victoria twists the hair with the velcro rollers at the base to keep it from getting too messy! I tried it and it seems to help a lot!
It’s really nice, however you really lost out on some potential volume at your crown. I think if you use a couple more rollers that are smaller you could really get some nice volume in your hair which will give you much more movement and body!
And this ladies, only works when you already have very straight hair naturally. My curly/wavy very voluminous hair takes me 2h to straighten and it gets destroyed within 30min of it done.
My thin hair could neverrr
thin fine hair for me
No you totally can! I have long thin hair and it works 😊 it creates a lot of body and movement and makes it look thicker. Having bangs helps too to create depth.
Trust me think, slick, heavy hair like mine can neither. It doesn’t hold any shape, not even from a salon. So it’s just straight for me
blow outs are soo good for thin hair, mine’s thin but it makes it look way thicker after i’ve had curlers in
this would actually be a good tourniquetto make fine hair look thicker
Make sure to do this with a low heat as not to iron your hair completely flat

This seems like a lot more work than an🤔 actual blow out…
No it’s not, it’s better for thick hair. I guess you just have a different hair type (thin)
I don't style my hair but my hair looks more defined than her styled hair...
Honestly, her natural hair look better.

She didn’t say it was faster or less work she is just trying to show us her own method.
But its probably cheaper
Absolutely beautiful!
Your hair was so pretty to start with, but I literally gasped at the end - gorgeous hair!

my hair is so straight that styling it with a straightener never works... it just doesn't react to heat and stays as it is :/
You have gorgeous hair
Pretty!
The top is called "the crown"
Not me reading this comment and instantly thinking you were talking about my fave TV show 😂
You’re magic!
