Farming is expensive in a game with a dying economy. Took me the length of the game as a $5 a month player to finally reach 3K and that was grinding 7 to 10 hrs a day. I’m retired and plenty of time to spend but not the money. To get to 4K I see more grinding but way more in years to reach that level. With the stream of players leaving the game by 3.5K I’ll be playing alone. They manipulated the game economy to the point the only way to accumulate platinum is to spend real dollars on it. Buying crests to get gems that won’t sell to buy gems you can’t afford has broken the game. Every day our clan sees players quitting over stagnation, boredom, or new shiny objects. The whales have no incentive to spend they’re so far above everyone else it’s pointless and the lower tiers have no incentive to spend because the whales are so far above they don’t have the resources to catch them so why even bother. Can’t remember if you were one of the prophets of hope peddling the merger would see more market demand while us realists were saying more product less platinum would result in absolutely no change whatsoever. In this case being right doesn’t feel better it just feels final. 🤑
Umm, Blizz did not manipulate the economy. The put in changes to the market that stop plat sellers from using the gem market to do it. The economy is simply being set by the players now, and gem prices are no longer artificially inflated by plat sellers.
@@ronaldmathis8957It did not stop plat sellers. I could say it's even better for them now, it's worth more to buy plat from sites than crests from Blizzard becous people can't sell gems in that communistic market, controlled by netshity/shitzard.

@@ronaldmathis8957 Correct, but they should remove the minimum prices then, so I can sell my piling up normal gems, I can't sell anything but sapphire or aquamarine. It's ok if I get half price vs a few months ago because the legendary gem prices are half too, but I can't sell so I can't buy except extra spending. Also pet breeding and selling is not worth now. If the way is pure pay to develop minimal (not even win) then I will just stop playing there and go back to world of warships :)

I wish there was other ways of earning legendary crests
I think being able to extract gem power from 2star gems above rank 5 will also encourage more players to use this to upgrade their internal resonance gems. The players have been asking for this for months. Please pass this to the developers

This is a good change, but I don't think it's as beneficial to a real F2P or a low end spender as people are implying.
It's still 41 duplicates of a gem to get a 2* from Rank 1 to rank 10. Also 685 Gem Power. Even with the 500+ regular crests you have(which is killing your account by just sitting on them, run that shit!) it doesn't amount to much because it's impossible to get 2* duplicates with those runs.
The fragments you can buy 2* with yes, but it's never as much as people think. 500 crests is only enough to make 25 2* gems. Barely half the amount of dupes required to make a single Rank 10, let alone 16 of them.
You are right, the progression long term with this subject is decent, but for the most part it outlines how badly Netease needs to wake up and make 2* gems drop from regular crest runs. The fact that they do not is only crippling peoples ability to progress and hidering any changes they have made, such as the awakening at Rank 5.
I find it very hard to get terror essence. Am I doing something wrong?
Run terror rifts if you hit all 4 Stygian spires it's an auto drop I ran 5 or 6 yesterday and did 5 oblivion pillars.
The RNG for drops not good for gems because of the amount of Lego gems.
The pets system is absolutely the worst thing with no direction and have talk, so many people just gave up on pets.
The charms are a joke, too.
You're not going to hit 5k by awakened gems of your rank 5 5* gems, it's a additional 320 reso. 8- rank 7 5* You'll be able to hit 5k resonance. You have over 500 rares because you've been saving them for a while. Lol
That is completely untrue. You can hit 5k with 2 gems at r7 now or less. I have 5k and only 2 gems are r7 and only 3 gems are 5/5.
Click Bait: long term its easier to get but that doesnt mean resonance is farmable, the answer is still no because it still requires tons of GP and copies lol
It's tougher to farm with market changes and having to buy lowest item first made alot of people mad i think. Now everyone is undercutting so gems are cheap almost gave all mine to rank 5
I have one 1* one 2* rest 5 star. Been debating about replacing my chained death with rolling consequence but the 17%dmg with multiple enemies is hard to give up for pve
Use void spark
If u can afford to at least rank 5 a 5 star just switch to 5 star. Just like oaknes said void spark for aoe.
Gems don’t matter as much for pve, you will get to the point where you only focus on improving cr. Gems are more focused towards PvP and not pve.
Gem does matter. With high rank 5 star and the right 5 star and skill u can solo almost every pve content as long as u pass cr required. except for higher levels of gauntlet. Have u try to solo wizard in curse hellslayer new inferno 1 using only all 1 star gem?
@@alexfoo5118 I’m already 4k+ Res fully awakened I solo everything. Just dmg according to test dummy is lower when I take out my pnc n cd n replace with maw n consequences. I find it strange. So I’m hesitant to do so. I don’t do much pvp

Hmmm technically speaking the new things are not new ways to farm resonance. It just gave more options where to use gem power and the necessity to have dup of 5star is delayed. The things you mentioned are already existing and probably the only way to get resonance. So the method being the same = no changes to farmability of resonance.
@@julyivangalanto2228 before it was more restricted. It is technically a new way, or easier access to that way via Rank 5 awakening instead of Rank 10, but also the 5 internal gem sockets were previously gated behind the # of resonance that was socket into that gem.
So your first 3 sockets would have to total 50 resonance before the 4th and first 5* socket would open, and the first 4 sockets would have to total 160 resonance for the 5th socket to open.
Those are now gated behind the Rank of the gem instead, with 4 being opened at Rank 7, so it is technically an easier accessible means for people to farm some resonance

With that logic you can say that if blizz gave more gem slot it will increase farmability?(It is still easy because you can still put 1 star or two star in there and by no means it difficult to get those). The method of gaining it is the same.
Farmability is the method of gaining and means of gaining.
Method is the procedure in this case the running of rift with crest and means is the medium or instrument used in this case the crest.
Lets put in application.
Method 1. Without the awakening at rank 5.
Use crest and then apply gems to directly gear.
Method 2. With the awakening at rank 5.
Use crest and apply gem in awaken slot in the gear.
In effect there is no difference only where you slot it.
You still need the same crest and do the same thing just use it in a different slot.
Lets define farming in a gaming perspective.
Farming/Grinding: Intentionally and repeatedly performing the same game sequence in order to guarantee in game experience/levels, resources, materials, or equipment. This can be as simple as playing in the same area for long lengths of time, or as complex as repeatedly organizing and replaying entire multiplayer encounters. Unless you have unlimited supply of crest you will not be able to do that. Its hardly called farmable.
The purpose me trying to clear this misconception is to avoid backlash potentially from returning players ( who left because reso is not per se farmable) who would be think that it is farmable when it is not. If one star gem would drop for doing an activity other than crest or events(gives one time or is not repeatable ) and is repeatable then we can say that it a new method of gaining reso through farm.

People are now able to get more resonance from this system than they were before it was changed to Rank 5.
There is a difference. Anybody that had Rank 5 or higher 5* gems before the patch were immediately able to slot gems into new slots that were not available to them prior to the patch. For many this will not be immediate, thus they will be farming it. If they were soft capped at Rank 5 due to F2P or low spend they now have the cheaper option to use 2* gems in the awaken slots. This is a new path for them to acquire resonance.
It's that simple. Writing books trying to overcomplicate a simple truth doesn't make it any less simple. Nobody reading all that shit.
I do understand what you both meant. In some way it is an indirect way to access cheaper reso but a mere choice of application is not farming. Also i did say thechnically so in order to have a proper argument a definition is required to establish facts or else it will just be a matter of feelings. If you define farming as ability to access reso which is not available before to the average spender (slots in awakening) and a view where it is by gaining reso from other sources than existing ones. lets just agree to disagree as we have no common grounds as to what constitutes farming. Lets not debate on the term farming because obviously we both have different opinions on it and without clear definition we will not go anywhere. 😊✌️
Without having a 5* to rank 5 (most players have none or a few have 1 or 2). Not sure how reso is farmable.
Yeah i scraped all my gems 2 star from legendary crests and should have kept what i use even thogh im upgrading 1 stars now just saving telluric shards spending hilts on rare crests for them but going for level 9-10 1 stars which i have the same gems needed for upgrade with current level 6-8 just need food but as a low spender those choices can be the diffrence of weeks of waiting for specific 2 star gems for upgrades in the end but my gameplays fine i can do terror rifts and verge good im 800 cr away from inferno 1 34900 cr and deff equipped for it i have way more pvp rating than regular combat just getting my green set levels up framing gold and scraps for them is quick i put all the scrap from the chalrifts into reg equpment level 16 inc trading for scrap for dust now need 12k more scrap for the cryptic crystals i have to use and like few 100k gold a few days of farming for upgrades and just hoping for rare rune drops to awaken equipment currently for damage and skillcooldowns/usage reductions im noticing the blue runes for me atleast arnt really needed yet i do have an ent but being in hell 3 gameplays good w/o them maybe once i unlock inferno but still going to be a while
They need to fix the market. I’m not a whale, but I’m not a low spender to the average Joe. I do spend a few hundred a week on the game. But with the new market problem and the platinum bots. I can’t sell items to buy new gems. I farm everything I can sell. I play like 6 hours a day, more on weekends. I only been playing for 4 months and my account looks like I been on for at least a year or more.
Now that I can’t sell items on the market, I stop playing as much and honestly stop spending money on the game. Hopefully they fix this problem or they will be losing a lot more than just the whales.
And here why I don’t just buy platinum 10k platinum is about $25, 10 purple crest is about $25. Even with 1 and 2 star gems. You should make 40k platinum. To buy 50k platinum at the shop is $100. See why I don’t bother with buying platinum. You also get better deals from chest with orbs, crest and gems.
Buy crests hope you score the gem you need and not the inside joke known as mocking laughter. Didn’t get what you needed great sell in the market to people that have no platinum to buy it. Win win for blizzard cause now more crests to try and get that gem you need because the ones you got last run won’t sell so you can’t buy the gem you need or want. It almost feels like blizzard sees the writing on the wall and found a way to wring out a few more dollars before the lights go out.

I'm a member of a whale clan, lately i only see 5-10 playing. Game is dying hard on my server
its a good change for P2W haha not F2P bc we still need a legendary crest. it will be f2p friendly if we can sell gems without using enternal legendary crest
it is farmable lol. I took advantage of selling pets when it sells like hotcakes! made a good reasonable amount of plats! Buying all 2/5* around 25k-30k plats on my server for gem powers. Now market is dead lol RIP!
The drop rates are not good. Atleast for me they're not. I wish the drop rates were better
