Good morning TAYM thank you for showing the photos very nice the story about the Mercedes the Old Ford zodiac car my dad you had the pull the plate down to fill it up bit dangerous in a rear end shunt yes back to the cold weather I’ll be wearing my heated gear on Sunday when I meet Andy adventures of Bella at the A11 cafe have a great weekend a plan not yet so it’s in the planning of of plan 😅👍👍👍

Down under we have Holden cars made in Australia & the HQ Holden in the 1970's had the filler cap behind the number plate.Most of them had
faded black paint on number plate from abit of spillage from petrol bowser ⛽.I owned a 71 & a 74 Hq Holden marvelous cars & worth a pretty penny now.

It’s a shame when somebody has to give up riding like TWW but eventually it comes to us all. I recall that in the last few years of his life, my Dad lost his confidence on two wheels and used my 125 and then scooter less and less, and in the last 18 months or so he didn’t even attempt to use them. Hopefully TWW will find something which he can ride which floats his boat 🤞
When I can no longer get my leg over a motorcycle, I think I will be happy enough with a 125 scooter. It’s the next best thing and extremely practical too.

@@TAYM Well, the weather is not looking bad for tomorrow and I really need motorcycle therapy, so that’s the plan for tomorrow. No news on the Super Meteor yet but they did say that it should be ready some time next week, but to be honest, I’m glad that they haven’t been in touch yet because this week and next week my schedule is cram packed unfortunately. The week after could be ideal though, weather permitting 🤞

Fantabulous mutter as always Taym. The Merc number plate story reminded me of my schoolboy weekend job as a rural petrol pump attendant in the 1970s. The only car that had me flummoxed was a Humber Super Snipe. l couldn't for the life of me find the fuel cap. Turns out you unscrew the r/h rear reflector and 'voila', Robert's your mother's brother!

Mr. TAYM, there is something wrong with the modern nakeds looks, specially the headlight. I remember when the first hornets came out in early 2000's, they were fine back then. The second possibility is that the bikes are fine and there is something wrong with me. 😂
Two wheel Willie should try a maxi scoter, Bergman 400 or similar. The are very good with people with physical problems.

Well TAYM this is the winters last ditch effort to freeze us all before spring get's a grip "I hope '' the daff's are nearly out and the snowdrops up here .The old Matchless did look very nice a bit pre me but one can appreciate these older bikes .I would like a few models myself must get some all my fave bikes 😉the ones that got away . I saw that Mark Pulling did a good review of the new Hornet it looks quite impressive really and the price isn't to bad either👌👍

@@theoldman9709 morning Tom the Enfield and Triumph Trophy are plastic but my four others are Minichamps that as far as I know are not made any more and are die cast 👍 I think eBay is our only source of getting them now

Ow-do. Hornet Swarms were a “thing” when I was with the Hornet owners club. It was a great fun group, with meet ups “Swarms” all over the place, with competition’s etc. I won best 600 two years running with the Bluearsedfly 😎😂. I try not to swear, but sometimes they slip out, though bloody does appear quite often 😂. Thanks for the mention. Great mutter.

@@TAYM probably, but they won’t be the same without the buzzy engine/exhaust note of the original 😢. Not a bad looking bike though. I watched TMF’s first impressions review. A bit too similar to Yamaha’s MT07, which I just didn’t get on with, although with the Yoshi pipe, it sounded awesome.

youre on song - swam of hornets hahaha😂 by the way I buggered up the valve clearance adjustments on Gus ( I blame Stuart Fillingham 😂) but fortunately the mechanics saved him and put in new YSS front suspension cos it was getting weavy over 80 and its worked a treat...

Marvellous Mutter as ever TAYM, keeping the photos to the end is like giving favoured customers the 'special sauce' or those magazines that are only kept under the counter. Nods as good as a wink eh? On the positive side I rode the Super Meteor yesterday. Report in the pipeline. However, for those who cannot wait I've concocted a short of 360 footage as a Teaser which goes live later today. Saddlebags can look away now... I've also been on the track of the BSA as well...

A marvelous mutter about the past and all that's going on in the biker fraternity and some great photos of models and folks bikes 👍😀 All sorted for the Big Beast, even bought a private reg, getting delivered Sunday. I'll email you a photo so you can have a sneak peak, don't mind if you show it. Hopefully I'll get a video done of my first ride and thoughts, don't think I'll be able to calm my excitement though 😯😵

Watching the video has been a very pleasant accompaniment to the domestic duties I’ve found myself doing despite me having the day off from work! 😁 my cunning plan is now to tell “she who must be obeyed” that the weekend needs to be spent out on the bike, wish me luck! 😂 have a great weekend and let’s hope that snow holds off. Wait for Honda GB 750 modern retro coming next year looks heaps better than the Hornet same motor as the 750 Hornet if you're thinking about the 750 version.

Have you seen 👀 it,be a mistake not too send the Gb750 around the world 🌎 along with the Scrambler 750 version with same motor.I reckon it'll be popular.
@@TAYM The new Buell bike looks great & the radiator is similar to what I imagined for aftermarket radiator for BSA or even Triumph style thin & stylish.

No not Hornet but the Modern retro Honda GB 750 looks great sme engine as the 750 Hornet & Transalp.
Due to be released next year. Honda is doing a 750 Scrambler too.
