The big question when it comes to joining a consulting firm is of course, whether to join grounded coffee consulting department or optic fibre communication department.
Michael Scott taught me to not be stupid. So when I am about to do something, I ask"Would a stupid person do this thing?" And if the answer is yes, I do not do that thing!☺️😉🤣

Would your involvement in consulting with a publicly traded company restrict you from investing in that company? I’d love to hear as much detail as you’re willing to share about this topic.
HAH a month off from RUclips really is a year is the real world! 😂 Thanks so much for coming back to watch. And that's a great question-- I'm sure it would cause some restrictions, yes! Might depend on the project though. Will look into it more 😊

Definitely not! I should've been more clear in the video about this, but I by no means am working during all 14 of those hours. A lot of the time is spent iterating on things-- meaning I'll send in my work and then have quite a bit of free time as I wait to get comments back on how I should change it (if at all). So I write/film/edit my videos when I have time in between tasks and calls 😊 But will def keep everyone updated on what the hours are like when I'm back in-person!

Congrats on your job, you got this! Also, I know this is REALLY random but I have some questions about Huntsman at UPenn. Is there a list of the schools that students study at when they study abroad for the semester? I was wondering because there is a really good school in another country that I would love to study abroad at and was wondering if there is any partnership with Upenn.... Thank you, and I love your videos!
Thanks so much Mandy!! Ahh I'm actually not sure-- there might be somewhere on our website that shows the schools, but I couldn't say for sure! I didn't know what universities in Barcelona I'd be going to until I was there 😂 But my best bet would be to check the Huntsman website, and if it's not there-- reach out to them with the contact info on the page to ask 😊
Did you have to interview a lot before getting a job at all, like how difficult is it to get a job in management consulting? And did you interview for consulting only or where there other fields you applied for? Very curious here 🤔😁
How do you consult, right out of college, without experience? isn't consulting offering experience from other clients/projects, understand trends and so on (not specifically out of college?) Sincere question. Good day!
14-15 hour days seems unhealthy... and clearly its a choice. Does that include 1-hour long lunch break? Those many hours don't seem so sustainable long-term. 9-10 hour days seem more reasonable.
I was in a dual degree program! 1 degree in economics from the business school where I concentrated in business operations and business management, and then a degree in international studies

Are you all agile trained? You’ve mentioned sprints a few times do you guys use backlogs and standups?
Congrats on your job
Thank you so much!
Most important, yet missing fact: Do you get adequately paid for your "job" or is rather an internship, is it more about getting experience and building a resume?
Her salary is over $100k
@@brandonorr6926 I strongly doubt that!
$110-120k actually-- feel free to watch my latest video where I go into details about the job, including salary, hours, etc. ruclips.net/video/yxatKGh_z5s/видео.html
@@TaylorBell Would you ever consider making a consulting vs big law type of video? I think a lot of people in business school try to decide consulting vs law school
I can assure you there's a lot more to it than moving logos around on a slide haha I'll come out with a video explaining what exactly consultants do in plain English very soon
Thank you, but you didn’t tell us for which company you are working as a consultant
Very curious here 🤔😁
Cool to learn more about consulting! Was that a coyote at the end?
Yayy glad you liked it! And hehe yup 🐺 Lots of em around where I live
@@TaylorBell woah, that’s crazy!
Mam how much amount will be charged by consulting firms mam thankyou mam
How do you consult, right out of college, without experience? isn't consulting offering experience from other clients/projects, understand trends and so on (not specifically out of college?)
Sincere question. Good day!
It's a good question! I made a dedicated video to answer that exact question :) ruclips.net/video/4avS00vBDI8/видео.html
14-15 hour days seems unhealthy... and clearly its a choice. Does that include 1-hour long lunch break? Those many hours don't seem so sustainable long-term. 9-10 hour days seem more reasonable.
In college did they teach the principle of "Experience" and "Paying your dues"?
Nope. It’s just kind of understood that that’s a thing in finance and consulting especially haha
This is so interesting...and I'm not even interested in consulting
Now that's a compliment! Ahah thank you so much
awesome information vid!
Thank you so much!
So useful
Keep going!

Thank you so much!! 🎉
That's/You are awesome! I'd not even trust my 23yo sister to consult me about boiling an egg let alone anything more serious than that 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much!! ahaha I can mess up eggs from time to time too 😂🍳
How can you function working 15 hours a day? How often do you use Siri to get an answer?
Haha I use Siri to set timers while I’m cooking, that’s about it
youre pretty u make anyone want 2learn about consulting
Great vid !
Thanks Daniel!!
You are just awesome 👍
Aw thank you!
At what point do you call yourself a consultant? Is that your official job title?

Ah I love Slovenia! I visited a few years back 😊 Regards from California!

NOPE :D
what's better option, Join consulting after bachelors or after mba ??
Whatever makes the most sense for your career path! You start as a manager if you join after your mba
@@TaylorBell and if we join after bachelors, how much time it will take to become manager?
Your are amazing 🙂
love your video
Thank you so much!
on average how much does a consultant earn? sorry if it's a compromising question.
I go over my salary in my latest video! :)
ruclips.net/video/yxatKGh_z5s/видео.html
what undergraduate degree did you do?
I was in a dual degree program! 1 degree in economics from the business school where I concentrated in business operations and business management, and then a degree in international studies
So when u take a lunch break is it the same?
Yeah the guy that I work most closely with and I will just tell each other we're gonna grab some food and that we'll touch base again in an hour or so!
