Look man I am an average muslim! I'm just trying to do my best to follow my religion even though I was born in Australia. I found Sheik Assim's questions video answer a lot of questions I had been struggling with. From those video his advice was when you learn knowledge stick to a mathab then move on to grow your knowledge on quran and Sunna. He then says if you find your mathab's opinion is differing from an authentic hadith stick to quran and sunna. Abu Hanifa said himself, if you find an authentic hadith from the prophet and my opinion goes against it. Then throw my opinion to the wall. So with everything I will research and do my best to try and follow what pleases God. In the end these difference of opinion to me never spark hatred or anger if others do things differently as long as they muslim.

6:34 just because an issue is considered from fiqh doesn't mean say anything and it's okay. For example, the 5 prayers being Fardh is a Fiqh issue, and who says otherwise is kafir. When we come to music, the Salaf said that it plants Nifaq in the heart, Imam Malik said that the Fussaq are the ones who do it and Ibn Taymiyyah speaks so much about the fact that not any dispute is accepted and no one is allowed to leave the Quran and Sunnah for any other person's opinion.

I tried to clarify to him that his knowledge is incorrect about meat in all Christians countries as he presumed that all Christians still use ritual slaughter method like Jews. CERTAIN elements of female circumcision are not haram, but it is most definitely not sunnah. In fact the Sheikh states female circumcision is in line with clipping of the nails, moustache, pubic hair, arm pits and male circumcision. For a Sheikh with his reach, he shouldn't be making such grave mistakes.

Please don’t put all the salafis in the same bag , yes there is a lot of ppl which call themselves salafis but they are more like haddadis than salafis, the real salafis are not arrogant in the fiqh , they learn the fiqh with a madhab, they accept kheelaf, they don’t enter in jarh wa ta'deel , tabdee' takfeer, warning against ppl because they know that those subjects are for the ulama
@Mr Wimbledon green the salafi term has been used by many ancient scholars and contemporary scholars and this term has been clarified many times brother it has nothing to do with sectarianism the truth must be clarified and distinct from the falsehood like many scholars says like ibn taymiyya said like ibn Al Qayyeem said. But we, true salafis , don’t say that if someone from the layman don’t claim to be salafis then he is misguided, not everyone has to claim to be salafi but when the true minhaj has been exposed and has been distinguished from the false one then you shouldn’t reject this term and be proud to distinguish yourself from the false ones. Muhammad hijab itself claim to be from ahl sunnah wal jama'a does that make him sectarian? Yes there is some salafis who are sectarian. There is two type of salafis : the true ones and the sectarian ones unfortunately. Learn brother go back to the book of the salafs go back to the scholars who are following the salafs they are unanimous on this subject. What you have to understand brother is that there is different types of innovations, the innovation in Aqeedah and in Fiqh and this is really important and its not up to anyone to make tabdee' on someone likewise it’s for the scholars. Thing is , today you have the « social medias salafis » who claimed to be salafis and you see them refuting everyone and make tabdee' of the layman like the scholar and this is not the way of the salafs. First of all let remember you that the prophet ﷺ said that is community will split in 73 communities/sects so unfortunately we don’t have only 4 groups this is the first thing. Secondly we have to distinguish between the Sunni with a big S and with a small s. Sunni with a big S is the distinction that has been made by muslims and non muslims to differentiate between the Sunni and Shias and with a little s sunni is a synonym for Ahl Sunnah wa al Jama'a and Salafis because Sunni are those who follow the Sunnah. But of course every sects of those 73 sects that Muhammad told us about will reclaim to follow the Sunnah ( except the Quraniyyoun lol ) so how do we know which group really follow the Sunnah ? Because i don’t know if you know but like i said there is many groups inside islam like the khawareedj , the murji’a the mu'tazila the asha'ira ikhwan al muslimeen etc.... and all of theme said that they to follow the sunnah but all of theses groups are innovating in the 'aqeeda but the prophet ﷺ told us in a narration that the true ones are the one who follow the sahaba and this is what differenciate us with the others groups because yes we follow the Quran and the Sunnah but with the comprehension of the Salafs ( Sahaba and their student and the student of their student like the prophet sws told us in a hadeeth ) This is what Salafi meens Salafi meens to follow the Salaf in their comprehension of the Quran and the Sunnah. But unfortunately today some people who reclaimed to be Salafis like i told you, are just doing sectarianism and warning again everyone and doing tabdee' of everybody

I don't agree with everything Sheikh Assim says: specially he said that eating meat in all Christian countries are permissible. I tried to clarify to him that his knowledge is incorrect about meat in all Christians countries as he presumed that all Christians still use ritual slaughter method like Jews. Please don’t put all the salafis in the same bag , yes there is a lot of ppl which call themselves salafis but they are more like haddadis than salafis, the real salafis are not arrogant in the fiqh , they learn the fiqh with a madhab, they accept kheelaf, they don’t enter in jarh wa ta'deel , tabdee' takfeer, warning against ppl because they know that those subjects are for the ulama
@Mr Wimbledon green the salafi term has been used by many ancient scholars and contemporary scholars and this term has been clarified many times brother it has nothing to do with sectarianism the truth must be clarified and distinct from the falsehood like many scholars says like ibn taymiyya said like ibn Al Qayyeem said. But we, true salafis , don’t say that if someone from the layman don’t claim to be salafis then he is misguided, not everyone has to claim to be salafi but when the true minhaj has been exposed and has been distinguished from the false one then you shouldn’t reject this term and be proud to distinguish yourself from the false ones. Muhammad hijab itself claim to be from ahl sunnah wal jama'a does that make him sectarian? Yes there is some salafis who are sectarian. There is two type of salafis : the true ones and the sectarian ones unfortunately. Learn brother go back to the book of the salafs go back to the scholars who are following the salafs they are unanimous on this subject.
What you have to understand brother is that there is different types of innovations, the innovation in Aqeedah and in Fiqh and this is really important and its not up to anyone to make tabdee' on someone likewise it’s for the scholars. Thing is , today you have the « social medias salafis » who claimed to be salafis and you see them refuting everyone and make tabdee' of the layman like the scholar and this is not the way of the salafs.

First of all let remember you that the prophet ﷺ said that is community will split in 73 communities/sects so unfortunately we don’t have only 4 groups this is the first thing. Secondly we have to distinguish between the Sunni with a big S and with a small s. Sunni with a big S is the distinction that has been made by muslims and non muslims to differentiate between the Sunni and Shias and with a little s sunni is a synonym for Ahl Sunnah wa al Jama'a and Salafis because Sunni are those who follow the Sunnah. But of course every sects of those 73 sects that Muhammad told us about will reclaim to follow the Sunnah ( except the Quraniyyoun lol ) so how do we know which group really follow the Sunnah ? Because i don’t know if you know but like i said there is many groups inside islam like the khawareedj , the murji’a the mu'tazila the asha'ira ikhwan al muslimeen etc.... and all of theme said that they to follow the sunnah but all of theses groups are innovating in the 'aqeeda but the prophet ﷺ told us in a narration that the true ones are the one who follow the sahaba and this is what differenciate us with the others groups because yes we follow the Quran and the Sunnah but with the comprehension of the Salafs ( Sahaba and their student and the student of their student like the prophet sws told us in a hadeeth )
This is what Salafi meens Salafi meens to follow the Salaf in their comprehension of the Quran and the Sunnah. But unfortunately today some people who reclaimed to be Salafis like i told you, are just doing sectarianism and warning again everyone and doing tabdee' of everybody

Like i said its not an obligation to say I’m salafi when someone ask you what are you but there is no problem too if you say I’m salafi because its a honour you know to follow the true teaching of islam. But as long as you have the right Aqeedah and you clearly distinguish yourself from the sects there is no problem but you have to know that the salafiyya is not a sect its the true islam yes there is some salafis like i said which are doing sectarianism but they are ignorant and the keebar make this subject clear for us al hamdûlillah

Brother , to be honest I don’t have all the answers, as far as I know deobandi are misguided for sure. And for the rest of what you said all I can tell you is stick to the salaf, follow them follow their believe and don’t divert with them , why ? Because Allah and his messenger said so. They are the best ppl after the prophet and messengers so follow them by going threw the scholars of our time who follow them. And if you don’t trust our scholars then learn arabic and go back to the source. Go back to the kutub of the 4 imams and before them and you will see the truth is so clear brother. And like i said calling yourself salafi don’t go against what Allah said about the sects because salafiyya is not a sect Salafi literally means follow the salaf and there is no bad in this at all because the salaf are the best ppl of this community and the prophet ﷺ told us to do so. And if you follow the salaf but you don’t want to call yourself salafi because of this big problem of sectarianism i’ll tell you two things :
- first its a contradiction in terms its like saying you are from morroco but you don’t want to call yourself maghribi ( in arab ) or morrocan.
- secondly no one forces you to tell the people i’m salafi i’m salafi because the term salafi don’t have to be used to create divison in the community to put ppl in boxes but this term is here to clarify the truth from the falsehood like i told you because everyone claims to follow the sunnah
So my biggest advice go back to the scholars who clearly follow the salaf and learn arabic
