I bag the mamba and the sidewinder as my go to drivers, they may make up 2 of about 28 discs but find top 3 usage in my bag. Dynamic discs and Lat64 are the number 1 and 2 spots respectively for use.
I'd have to say when it comes to fairway/distance drivers, innova is number one. Teebird, eagle, thunderbird, wraith, destroyer all fantastic discs. And discraft is the best with their mid lineup
I like really old used wraith! 😂 Flippy enough! I use destroyer for strong headwind and when i need to go left in backhand and right with forehand. So i have both in the back, but use wraith much more… one new and one really old.
I mostly carry Innova. They have so many iconic discs. A beat in Star Wraith is the most dependable disc there is. These are usually in my bag: Toro, Panis Mako3, Vroc, Roc3, Barsby Eagle, Champ Eagle, Halo Sidewinder, Koling Thunderbird, Halo Sidewinder, G-star Beast, Star Orc, Star Wraith, Scoggins Halo Tern. These rotate in fairly often: KC Pro Aviar, Rhyno, G-star Leopard, Scoggins Halo Leopard3, Star Valkyrie, Sexton Firebird, Heimburg Destroyer, Koling Halo Boss
Innova were (and still are fwiw) the best selling brand in DG when I started playing 10 years ago and so many people bag Innova or an Innova made disc. Kinda hilarious seeing the hate they get for issues that all other brands have as well but being the maker of some (if not most/all) of the games most iconic and copied discs has its price I guess. But if people want to sell me all their old Innova plastic for cheap, I’ll take all of it. When the hype dies down, you’ll definitely miss those Boss’s Destroyers, Wraiths, Firebirds, Teebirds, Eagles, Rocs, Aviars, P2’s (yes, I know - Firefly), etc etc etc. And the whole “they’re so inconsistent” spiel. Yawn. What? Like every other manufacturer then? Maybe - maybe - MVP is the exception but I’d rather have inconsistent than feels like garbage in the hand. Every MVP driver I’ve ever held feels the same. Flat. No glide. No forward push. Just out and dump hard left. Pardon me but F that. If you know how discs work and what to look for in them, then “inconsistency” magically becomes “options”. You can have flippy to meathook in the same mold - IF you just learn what to look for. All you need to do is apply to my course in Disc Spotting. For a one time payment of $99 I will save you hundreds or thousands of dollars on purchases.* *I am joking.
Agreed, I've mainly thrown innova and a bit of discraft. MVP discs have felt very flat across the board which just doesn't inspire after mastering the glide of more rounded discs. I'm just pretty scared of losing the discs I love so I can see that having instantly replaceable discs via MVP just be nice. Fortunately I just don't lose discs, I hunt them down no matter how long it takes.
Wraith is my favorite driver ever, but I won't buy them. Innova plastic is so ridiculously unreliable that only 1 out of every 10 wraiths is actually good.
You “won’t buy your favourite driver” and take a dump on Innova for being inconsistent? Cool. Except the inconsistency part. It’s true for all manufacturers. And if you knew what to look for, finding discs/runs that suit your arm isn’t that difficult. Search for “finding the perfect destroyer”. The principles in that clip are true for all high speed distance drivers. Apply them to the Wraith and voila! You can now bag your favourite disc. In multiples.
I bag all three: destroyer, boss, wraith. Boss is max d but not as reliable as destroyers, wraith is acting like a control driver but you can still pump them when needed. I’ve added a couple discs to the bag that are not dm/innova. Envy (to replace DM p3 😢), berg, and might pick up a proxy as well.
Agree wraith makes a great control driver, scales up and down, so versatile. While also probably going as far as any other disc in my bag if I really hammer it
I’m a lower arm speed player and really only have 275-300 feet of power, and I use a dx wraith. I also have a gstar destroyer that is so beat in it flips up for even my slow arm. Honestly though for my arm a better disc is the orc or beast.
Not gonna lie I’m so glad these new halo runs are beefy. It was the one stability in the wraith I was missing. My bag is a healthy mix of innova and discraft. I can’t bring myself to take the wraith and teebird out of my bag.
That flex forehand you threw on hole 12 is exactly the type of shot that I use in my game that keeps Halo and Champ Wraiths in my bag while a lot of other discs rotate in and out. They are so excellent for flex forehands when they are new, then turn into shapeable workhorses as they beat in. My drivers are almost all back to Innova since this past year. Their plastic blends are fantastic at the moment and their molds have always been solid fliers. I've especially been enjoying a new max weight Champion Roadrunner that was actually flippy right out of the box.
Great combo, flat (flatter) top bottom stamp Star Destroyer, I think they were 2023 runs, at lighter weights (165-169) and a 160ish gram 12-time Climo Star Wraith. They compliment each other so well with the Wraith being far more understandable but still having that consistent fade and the Destroyer, even new, having a very flat flight with the hookup at the end. Beautiful pair. Good luck finding a 160ish gram Climo Wraith though.
Could be just a coincidence, but I’ve noticed that dyed discs tend to fly more understable than non-dyed discs. I have a dyed champion Wraith and a dyed Z line nuke SS that fly noticeably more understable than their non-dyed counterparts

I bag a few Innova discs still. Currently, I have a Leopard, Valkyrie, Orc, and Rollo
I bag an Innova Mirage, Condor and Scorpion.
Eagle, teebird, firebird, innova pd, orc and destroyer. Lost my wraith 😢
Good news, for $13 you can have another!
the only innova mold permanently in my bag is my 15th Anniversery Destroyer.
Mostly i play MVP/Axiom and Discmania

Flippy enough!

Currently bagging three destroyers, two gorgons, two firebirds, and two teebird3s.
Putting 2 DX aviar’s, champion aviar, star aviar3, 2 star toro’s, and a star gorgon
I bag both. Destroyer us my go to forehand and wraith is go to backhand

The best innova distance driver is a boss
I bet you throw a pop top r-pro boss 600 ft
g-star boss FTW

Would love to bag more innova, just the fact they are so dumb expensive here that is stopping me...
I do bag innova, Beast and Leopard are my mains, have a sidewinder for some under stable backhands

Wraith, mamba, sidewinder, teebird 3, firebird, bb aviar

Boss, wraith, mystere, halo Thunderbird, atlas. Didn't realize how many until I started typing.
My bag is mostly Innova. Only 5 discs in my bag are other brands. Two Axiom, One Discmania, One Discraft, and one Westside.
Innova is not flashy they are underrated
Could be just a coincidence, but I’ve noticed that dyed discs tend to fly more understable than non-dyed discs. I have a dyed champion Wraith and a dyed Z line nuke SS that fly noticeably more understable than their non-dyed counterparts
Currently bagging a star wraith and a 21’ sexton bird. Love em both.
I love my Gstar road runners, One is flippy and one is straight.
The new run of pink and blue wraiths are much straighter than those green ones
Pink and blue halo?
@@IceBergTV yup! They have a little flip up to them and I don’t even throw 400 ft
