I have a 79 and I did the same tr6060 swap with a solid cam 350 4.10 gears in the stock 7.5 10 bolt stock interior with 14 inch slots. Mine is no where this good looking but I had the same idea.
One is not much for the 3rd Gen Chevrolet Monte Carlo however this one changes my mind a bit now. With that said 1st, 2nd, and 4th are my ultimate favorite generations and the 5th and 6th gens not so much but one would still drive them tho. One is so disappointed with GM for discontinuing Chevrolet Monte Carlo brand. Maybe one day who knows GM might revive Chevrolet Monte Carlo and restore the brand to its former glory but with modern updates and perhaps AWD upgrade. Perhaps it might get an electromagnetic resonance frequency hovercraft powered by zero point energy generator conversion upgrade. Time will tell one supposes.
This is a '78. The 79 and 80 body style has the wrap around tail lights. This body style only was produced in the years listed above. The 81 to 88 changed completely and got a little longer. Hope this helps.
I had a 79 baby blue Every thing was nice but inside plastic was sun rotten plastic falling apart Engine would not hold timeing for longer than about a week I became a timing lite expert Had very little power 267 No internet back then to help you out like today
If you really want your car to perform better take it somewhere else like brewer speed and racing in Columbus Ga because Shane don’t know what he’s doing. Guarantee you get more power out of it somewhere else
