We need a new DVD 10th anniversary of this with Sierra and Ramin using the Australian set design concept. It's almost 10 years since Ramin and Sierra did the 25th for Phantom, so their aging would be perfect. (Ben and Anna were great, to be fair.)

Yall she lived. If you saw the movie, she died 30-40 years after. Meg didn't kill her, she was unconscious. Calm down guys, don't destroy you're electronics
The way Erik trembles and hesitates at 12:08 and then grips her tightly at 12:11 never fails to make me coo. I know this play came before the 25th anniversary of POTO, but I can't help but think about how in both productions Erik is always shocked when he touches Christine, as if he truly believes that he is undeserving of her (in POTO, when Christine falls during Music of the Night and he catches her, you see the look of disbelief on his face and he looks at his hands). It's the subtle things Ramin does that makes me love watching his Phantom so much.
To me, it's also just such a small body language inflection to show how without personal contact Erik is (it's a pretty obvious reason haha but it still makes it influential in my watch experience). He also does the tremble gesture with Gustave, which you could also interpret as Gustave being a piece of Christine that Erik still has and someone that will love him irrespective of his scars.
it reminds me of this verse from the book "Poor, unhappy Erik! He had a heart that could have held the entire empire of the world; and, in the end, he had to content himself with a cellar. "
I was **mostly** fine...and then Ramin makes that choked, scrunchy face as Sierra sings Loves Never Dies in his arms. I composed myself...and then he screams his pain when Christine passes. Thought, 'okay, okay. The worst is over.' THEN HE FRICKEN TAKES HIS RING OFF AND PUTS IN HER HANDS AND I JUST LOST MY MIND! Theatre bloody kills my dang heart and I love it.
What if in the finale she said something like: Think of me think of me fondly When I finally say goodbye Take care of him, of Gustave Promise me you'll try On that day, that not so distant day When you are old and gray and free Once you find a moment Spare last thoughts for me ......I cried making this....

He brings such real humanity to The Phantom. All the subtle little nuances, the emotions, it's so touching. I'm really impressed with his interpretation of the character.
Just noticed how Christine's smile gets wider starting from 10:55, when Erik joins her and sings "just love, just live." because she's so glad he finally learns and agrees to accept the love that he deserves. She has repeatedly shown him compassion and kindness even back when he didn't deserve it. Her dying wish was for him to see that he _does_ deserve a little kindness and love and he finally did.
It should've ended with the Phantom saying "Christine I looooove you" like the original. That would've been so much better Imagine the regret Erik must have, knowing that saying Christine's name would set Meg off and kill her. That kills me

@@scotthamp384in the 25th anniversary of phantom of the opera, towards the end of the point of no return, Ramin does a similar cry when Christine (Sierra) takes off the Phantoms mask.
When christine died, the phantom takes out his ring and put it under her hands. Phantom also gave her a ring(In the Phantom of the Opera) ,but christine rejected his love and gave the ring back which means that she doesn't want to be with him. But, in this, because she is keeping the ring, maybe forever, this means that she will love him forever. SOOOOOO SADDDD😭😭😭😭😭
She gave it the ring to show that she chose him basically. She went with Raoul because he gave her a life the Phantom couldn’t give her. But she still had Gustave with the Phantom, correct?
Ave Diaz Actually, the sequel is on RUclips right now for the next day or so. Look up the channel, THE SHOW MUST GO ON! and you’ll see love never dies. But to answer your question, they did it the night before she got married then lied to Raoul saying that Gustave was his and the Phantom figured out and he was pissseeedddddddd, and sad, and happy, mixed emotions. Anyways, go find it before it gets taken down due to the policy. Good luck, tell me when you find it.
Particularly the only thing that I prefer in the Australian version (in this scene) is that the boy takes off the phantoms mask and accepts him instais of just hugging... I don’t know it felt like he was accepting the whole phantom as more than a shadow... It made me tear up.
Yeah, this change in Aussie version is better. In Aussie version, phantom is at the edge of the sea, seems like he is going to kill himself but the boy saved him from a dead heart. It’s touching.
In all the other renditions I've heard/ seen of this, I always thought the phantom never showed enough emotion when Christine died. But man, Ramin's scream of anguish, that's what I was looking for. It was perfect. And then putting his ring on her finger sealed it. Ugh, he never ceases to amaze me
I sobbed and sobbed at this. It’s gorgeous the connection Ramin and Sierra have with each other and everything from Christine dying the phantom holding her and kissing her to him taking off his ring and placing it on her. Then when he held Gustavo and held him the little bit tighter like he has that past part of Christine to hold on it wow I couldn’t stopcrying
Ok, hear me out. Since we are not left with any closure and a great deal of sadness this is what I like to believe happens after the curtain closes (Sry I’d I spell names and stuff wrong lol and if it’s kinda badly written and stuff or cheesy idk I just want closure) enjoy: Phantom continues to hug Gustave and silently cries at the same time. Roul stares blankly in confusion and disbelief. Suddenly we can see Christine take a heaving breath but stays unconscious, phantom goes to her and checks her pulse. His eyes widen and he lifts her up and goes off stage quickly with her in his arms, Raul follows “What are you doing?” But phantom doesn’t respond Gustave follows them, confused. Cut to a new scene Christine laying in a bed but seems to be alive Phantom sits beside her and is holding her hand Phantom: [singing shakily) “say you’ll share with me one love...one lifetime...say you’ll save me from my solitude..” he then starts crying into his hands. Christine opens her eyes and sings softly : “anywhere you go let me go too..” phantom looks up so much hope and happiness in his eyes in unison they sing “love me, that’s all I ask of you” then they kiss THATS when the curtain closes for you to imagine where it goes from there, and yea. Yay! You read this whole thing :> have a nice day/night! Edit: I might add more later lel
i HATE what they did in this show! and i HATE that ive been crying for 10 minutes BECAUSE THAT WAS THEIR ENDING IDEA???????????????????????? i HATE that i secretly love it. But what I hate the most was the way they killed Chrisine off?? Like, her best friend did it????????OUT OF JEALOUSY?!!!!!!!! RAMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you were the one who made me cry and only you and Sierra are capable of that. But the ending tho, I was WAITING for them to sing something from POTO, ANY reference really. I need a moment to get myself together after this................
My sister doesn't like it, she pretends that it never happened. At first I was afraid it was going to ruin phantom for me but this is a way I didn't expect it to go because I really liked it in my opinion. When I first saw phantom I thought that the phantom (Eric) and Christine should have been together, then I thought well mabey Rhaul and Christine should be together, now I think that the phantom and Christine are perfect together
@@avediaz610 Geez, that's why I don't enjoy The Phantom of Manhattan, that's the book where the musical came from. I love Phantom, by Susan Kay. That book has a best ending for their story... I wish Andrew Lloyd Webber would at least make a prequel based on this book. I'd be SO okay with LND.
@Elijah Enes yeah but I really think that that was a good ending, I have never read the book I'm guessing it's good, in my opinion, I think it works out. But it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks I won't judge 🙂
This is so much better than the Australian version, the way Ramin appeals to Meg, it's breathtaking. Also, I actually cried when Christine died. It felt awkward in the Australian one.
How it is that you can find GREATER ideas for Christine's last words and reference to POTP here, in the comments sectiont, than that the writer choose?
Meh, all the Phantom references just sound tacky and obvious to me. Pure fan-fiction. Hardly "ideas" at all. Pretty much just "I liked that other thing, I wish they did that again". I'm glad they didn't go that route and tried to make it its own thing.
Chirstine's Iast words: I'll share with you one Love, one lifetime... Lead you, save you From your solitude... Stay here With me, right Here beside you... I wiII go , and you wiII Iive Iife too - Erik, That's all I ask of you...
Olorin Elior I agreee. I’m going through the comments cuz I refuse to watch it but I want to understand it. I absolutely hate it. Like bruh why didn’t you just leave it where it was at the end of POTO
@@elenaroot7616 next Friday you'll be able to watch it without paying for it, I know I'll check out the full thing. But check out Musical Hell's review of it, it's sums the problems up pretty well
i love the part in 13:10 when hes looking up like "god why they take her from me" and then holding his ring and says.... "my christine" it just brakes my heart!
I've tried singing this while watching it too and every single time I can't help but break down sobbing(don't mind me, crying as I write this) and I realize how hard it must be to be in their positions and not choke on their words
Thank you thank you thank you Opera Ghost for sharing these precious clips with us! It's not like we could ever buy a DVD of these two shining stars performing LND. Thank you so much!
I love how it echoes his scream at the end of the 25th anniversary performance (although I know this came first). Ramin does an excellent job of characterizing his phantom and the pain he feels.
8:27 Sure, Phantom. Nothing calms down someone who's suicidally desperate for your attention better than comparing them unfavorably to the woman you obviously prefer.
This stage is not as beautiful as the Australia one that is free to see on youtube now, but the Ramin’s Phantom sound is so nostalgic, draws me back to the original part one’s Phantom of the opera~
Its interesting. Before the changes the phantom took off his mask. Then they took it out. Im glad they brought it back for the US tour. Thank you for uploading the video. I feel the blood stain makes it look more realistic.
Desirae Jenks I think the dvd was meant to have a blood stain. But Anna’s blood pack didn’t work that night, you can actually see her try and activate it
Thank you so much, kind stranger, for uploading all of these so I could see it. Ramin is just absolutely breathtaking, and Sierra is so powerful! I’m so emotional now because this ending is so sad but thank you so much for sharing Ramin and Sierra’s talents like this Edit: I’m sorry the emotion Ramin shows in this scene is like breaking my heart… I have no words
I surely prefer this version of father-son relationship. The AU and US versions were both creepy as hell and I hope the kid just run away and never stayed with the phantom.
I'm sure the first time I went to see this Gustave didnt come back with Raoul and I thought he took the phantoms mask off and then hugged him. They seemed to vary it a little I'm sure, I preferred it when raoul didnt come back
Yeah, what I didn't like was that Rhaul told Gustave to go with the phantom (if you look at it really closely when Rhaul and Gustave come back after Christine is dead). Why didn't he just go without his step dad telling him what to do.
I have to admit....... I actually liked the movie meg better. She had more of a accent, and I actually liked her singing voice better. I also like her outfit for this scene better in the movie. That's the only thing I like better in the movie, though. I absolutely adore sierra and Ramin , though. Just stating my opinion 😁 Also I'm just gonna go cry my eyes out. I don't need that organ called my heart.
An other sad thing (beside the fact that she dies) : she dies without seeing her son one more time. The last memory she has of him is him running away ... 😥
I prefer the phantom thought he could've controlled the stuation and he fucked up so bad. I mean the phantom trying to take her gun was stupid as hell because he's the phantom he didn't have to use his fucking hand to grab the gun. So yup in this version he thought he could easily convinced her by saying some fake shits but NOPE HE SAID CHRISTINE and BUMMER is so much better and dramatic.
I just thought of this ending last night and it might be much more devastating. When the Phantom mentioned Christine's name, instead of inflicting a suicide, Meg would instead shoot at Christine. The Phantom, fearful that he might lose his angel a second time, would hug Christine to protect her and thus catching the bullet. The Phantom would slowly drop from the pain and Christine would assist him but unbeknownst to her, the bullet penetrated the Phantom's body and hit her in the stomach. She will see the blood slowly gushing into her dress and she would tell Gustav and Madam Giry to ask for help while Meg runs away. Christine would drop next to the Phantom, who is unconcious due to shock I guess, and sing this line, "Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime, say the word and I will follow you. Say you'll lov-". Christine wouldn't be able to finish the last line and dies with one hand placed in between them. The Phantom on the other hand was able to hear Christine sing and would in turn sing "You alone can make my song take flight, it's over now, the music of the night." just as he reaches for a white rose with the ring that he previously gave her. He would hold on to the final note of the song while raising the rose up into the air until he too dies and drops his hand above Christine's hand. Raoul, Madam Giry, Meg and Gustav would arrive speechless from the sight that they are seeing. Gustav would be the only person who would have the courage to go near the bodies. He would pick up the ring and he would place it on top of the Phantom's hand signifying their union forever. He would then hug her mother's lap and cry just as Raoul approaches and whisper in his ear that his real father is the Phantom. He would then go to the Phantom and remove his mask. Gustav will admire the mask and his father's face before hugging him. Afterwards, the ensemble (except for Gustav, the Phantom and Christine) would sing "Love never dies, love will continue. Life may be fleeting, love lives on." as the curtain falls.
@@Choobab_viol40 Thank you. I just thought it would be much more devastating if the Phantom were to get his angel of music as a true angel. The original ending is already sad but ot always had that "why?" kind of a feeling. The ending that I made would be able to eliminate that feeling while also adding the much devastating effect of the Phantom's death.
When I watched this, I was crying when Christine was dying and when Gystuve was hugging the phantom, I cried so much that when I opened my eyes I saw that there were tears on my phone.😭
I hadn’t realized that the kiss between the Phantom and Christine right after her performance is only in the Australian filmed version from 2012. I think it’s a pretty good addition to demonstrate all of the emotions of the days leading up to the performance of the aria.

@@scotthamp384in the 25th anniversary of phantom of the opera, towards the end of the point of no return, Ramin does a similar cry when Christine (Sierra) takes off the Phantoms mask.
@@ghoulerghoul but that was after LND
When christine died, the phantom takes out his ring and put it under her hands. Phantom also gave her a ring(In the Phantom of the Opera) ,but christine rejected his love and gave the ring back which means that she doesn't want to be with him. But, in this, because she is keeping the ring, maybe forever, this means that she will love him forever. SOOOOOO SADDDD😭😭😭😭😭
She gave it the ring to show that she chose him basically. She went with Raoul because he gave her a life the Phantom couldn’t give her. But she still had Gustave with the Phantom, correct?
Rose M yea
The only thing I am wondering about is when did they do it?
Ave Diaz Actually, the sequel is on RUclips right now for the next day or so. Look up the channel, THE SHOW MUST GO ON! and you’ll see love never dies. But to answer your question, they did it the night before she got married then lied to Raoul saying that Gustave was his and the Phantom figured out and he was pissseeedddddddd, and sad, and happy, mixed emotions. Anyways, go find it before it gets taken down due to the policy. Good luck, tell me when you find it.
Oh thank you, but I got to see it on the show must go on but I was just wondering when they did you know what.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME I NEEDED THIS FOR ABOUT LET'S SAY A GOOD 8 YEARS??????????
Even with this shaky recording, I’m still crying.
IMAGINE if we can get the DVD or buy it online. Everyday is weeping day.
Ramin’s acting here... my heart just broke at the sound he makes when his idol dies😭
They did it in the london version too. Im not sure why this day they didn't do it. In older clips the mask is taken off.
Here's another clip that the mask was taken off
ruclips.net/video/8WL4b7uZZPg/видео.html
Absolutely💯% true!
I also like that the Australian version has them kiss in the "Ah Christine" scene.
In all the other renditions I've heard/ seen of this, I always thought the phantom never showed enough emotion when Christine died. But man, Ramin's scream of anguish, that's what I was looking for. It was perfect. And then putting his ring on her finger sealed it. Ugh, he never ceases to amaze me
Oh my goodness, I’m crying!! I so need Ramin and Sierras version of LND on dvd!
If you listened carefully, you can hear some of the audiences sobbing- NO, SERIOUSLY!
Yeah i hear it too 😂😅😭
@@saturnine1987 BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Idk cause I'm sobbing too 😢

With laughter.
imagine you were shot near your heart then you hit that high note in the chorus of once upon another time. (mind blown)
Meg: *clearly and deliberately aims toward Christine*
Christine: *gets shot*
Meg: 😮
The music til I hear you sing plays as they kiss breaks my heart as she dies. Does anyone else cry?
I sobbed and sobbed at this. It’s gorgeous the connection Ramin and Sierra have with each other and everything from Christine dying the phantom holding her and kissing her to him taking off his ring and placing it on her. Then when he held Gustavo and held him the little bit tighter like he has that past part of Christine to hold on it wow I couldn’t stopcrying
Ok, hear me out. Since we are not left with any closure and a great deal of sadness this is what I like to believe happens after the curtain closes (Sry I’d I spell names and stuff wrong lol and if it’s kinda badly written and stuff or cheesy idk I just want closure) enjoy:
Phantom continues to hug Gustave and silently cries at the same time.
Cut to a new scene Christine laying in a bed but seems to be alive Phantom sits beside her and is holding her hand
Phantom: [singing shakily) “say you’ll share with me one love...one lifetime...say you’ll save me from my solitude..” he then starts crying into his hands.
Christine opens her eyes and sings softly : “anywhere you go let me go too..” phantom looks up so much hope and happiness in his eyes in unison they sing “love me, that’s all I ask of you” then they kiss
THATS when the curtain closes for you to imagine where it goes from there, and yea. Yay! You read this whole thing :> have a nice day/night!
Edit: I might add more later lel
Love it

i HATE what they did in this show! and i HATE that ive been crying for 10 minutes BECAUSE THAT WAS THEIR ENDING IDEA???????????????????????? i HATE that i secretly love it.
I KNOW RIGHT? I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW AND ABSOLUTELY NEED TO TALK WITH SOMEONE ABOUT IT
(opa brasileiro sofredor aqui)
Where in the world have you been hiding? Really you were perfect.
*Shoots Christine out of jealousy saying: NOT EVERYONE CAN BE LKE MEGGGGGG*
"Your angel of music will watch over you now."
Christine: *dies 10 minutes later*
The pain in his voice is unbeatable. I’ve never seen such an amazing portrayal
THE WAY HE PICKED UP THAT ROSE😱😱
This is so much better than the Australian version, the way Ramin appeals to Meg, it's breathtaking.
Also, I actually cried when Christine died. It felt awkward in the Australian one.
I seriously get goosebumps every single time her and phantom are singing right before she dies. The music when they kiss is seriously unreal
This has 'Ah, Christine'! Yes!! With the bootleg on RUclips at the moment, you can't see anything!! Thank you!!!
Emily Angus RUclips really ruins the quality of these videos, but hopefully you can still see something! :)
How it is that you can find GREATER ideas for Christine's last words and reference to POTP here, in the comments sectiont, than that the writer choose?
I know she had to say "kiss me one last time" but before they kissed she could of said something else
Meh, all the Phantom references just sound tacky and obvious to me. Pure fan-fiction. Hardly "ideas" at all. Pretty much just "I liked that other thing, I wish they did that again". I'm glad they didn't go that route and tried to make it its own thing.
@@grantmalone yes it would've been cheesy but i think they could've thought of something better than "kiss me one last time"

The music is beautiful but the story sucks
i love the part in 13:10 when hes looking up like "god why they take her from me" and then holding his ring and says.... "my christine" it just brakes my heart!
At 8:38 you hear people gasping when the gun gets fired
It’s 2 am and I am bawling my eyes out again because of these two. This scene is the most intense emotional pain I’ve ever experienced from a musical.
SAMEE!!
ramin and sierra are THE phantom and christine. no one else compares to them and their chemistry
The fact it’s Ramin, makes me sob even harder. So beautiful
I love the consistency of Ramin Karimloo's phantom having shaky hands when it comes to touching people he cares about.
That guttural way he screams no makes me cry every time.
I love how it echoes his scream at the end of the 25th anniversary performance (although I know this came first). Ramin does an excellent job of characterizing his phantom and the pain he feels.
8:27
Sure, Phantom.
I like that one....Ramin Karimloo and this child did it. He removed his mask and Meg and Giry were crying over Christine
@@deborahminter6231 yes. I like both endings really.
Desirae Jenks I think the dvd was meant to have a blood stain. But Anna’s blood pack didn’t work that night, you can actually see her try and activate it
@@Hammerhead4 I figured since they didnt have her change costumes they left it out. When I saw the US tour they didnt use it
I love how when the gun is pointed at the Phantom, he gets in front of Christine and Gustave to protect them
The feels. Oh Ramin’s phantom has ALLL the feels
That scream shatters my soul every time
이거 올려줘서 너무 고마워요 업로드 해 준 사람 평생 복 받으세요 😭 덕분에 몇 년 째 찾아보고 행복합니다
Thank you so much, kind stranger, for uploading all of these so I could see it. Ramin is just absolutely breathtaking, and Sierra is so powerful! I’m so emotional now because this ending is so sad but thank you so much for sharing Ramin and Sierra’s talents like this
Edit: I’m sorry the emotion Ramin shows in this scene is like breaking my heart… I have no words
That ring he gave to her touched me so much. It made me cry.
OMG that music at 11:53!!!!!!!😳😳😳 Absolutely BEAUTIFUL…damn
What a great performance! I love Ramin! He is the number 1 phantom!
I agree with that
!
That "no!" was so powerful
I surely prefer this version of father-son relationship. The AU and US versions were both creepy as hell and I hope the kid just run away and never stayed with the phantom.
I'm sure the first time I went to see this Gustave didnt come back with Raoul and I thought he took the phantoms mask off and then hugged him. They seemed to vary it a little I'm sure, I preferred it when raoul didnt come back
skylark belle It did. I honestly prefer the other ending better, but I guess every one has to be a little different
Originally, it was Meg, which doesn't make as much sense than Raoul going back with Gustav. I'm glad they changed that
Yeah, what I didn't like was that Rhaul told Gustave to go with the phantom (if you look at it really closely when Rhaul and Gustave come back after Christine is dead). Why didn't he just go without his step dad telling him what to do.
Every single time I watch this I cry my eyes out!!!!!!! Thank you so much for uploading these videos!!! Its a real treasure!! 😍
Great. Now I can't breathe and my eyes are burning. I didn't need a heart. 😭
I have to admit....... I actually liked the movie meg better. She had more of a accent, and I actually liked her singing voice better. I also like her outfit for this scene better in the movie. That's the only thing I like better in the movie, though. I absolutely adore sierra and Ramin , though. Just stating my opinion 😁
Also I'm just gonna go cry my eyes out. I don't need that organ called my heart.
I'm not crying, you're crying!
An other sad thing (beside the fact that she dies) : she dies without seeing her son one more time. The last memory she has of him is him running away ... 😥
This was well done....but I like it better when Gustavo removes mask...and Giry and Meg are crying over Christine
I cry every single time with this
OMG Ramin and Sierra break my heart every time ‘sobs into my coffee’ also, DAMN I want to be Christine to Ramin’s Erik
I pefer it when the Phantom tried to take the gun out of Meg's hands and she shoots Chrisitine that way
I prefer the phantom thought he could've controlled the stuation and he fucked up so bad.
@@airwaysalways9356well, blame ALW
The child they chose to play Gustave was so cute.
Ramin’s “NOOOOO” at the end just got me. Dang. 😢😢💔💔
That one final moment, when The Phantom of the opera/Eric screams it out. That must even break the heart of Raoul.
Love this ending
@@Choobab_viol40 Thank you. I just thought it would be much more devastating if the Phantom were to get his angel of music as a true angel. The original ending is already sad but ot always had that "why?" kind of a feeling. The ending that I made would be able to eliminate that feeling while also adding the much devastating effect of the Phantom's death.
I'm crying 😭
aaand now I’m crying :(
....and my imagination works!

I love that quick rage showing.
I shouldn't have watched this now I'll immediately be crying for an hour😭😭😭😭😭 (but Thank you for posting)
Ramin Karimloo (Phantom) plays so well.
