A Socialist Era Department Store was Nowadays Mall.. Had everything in store… I liked to go there almost everyday… It was beautiful and clean inside and outside… Also you could see very fashionable people too.. There was one section which were selling products from Japan, America and Europe… Name of that section was Dollar section… All stuffs were unusual and the price was expensive…. Thank u and good luck.
I don't know what it was like during the communist era, but when I went there in 2016 it was just like any other mega-mall in the world, selling all the latest foreign and domestic brands at high prices. The supermarket does sell good jarred khailmag though 🙂 If you want better prices and are prepared to haggle go to the Narantuul market (aka the "Black Market") on the east side of town, although their khailmag might make you get sick 🤮
An amazing and enlightening video, as always! It is my favourite store in the city :)
