Why is English everywhere? Not just in this department store. Mongolia has never been a British colony. In Soviet times Mongolia preserved its own identity much better. Russian was probably not as present as English is nowadays.Perhaps people think that one must de-Mongolize, if Mongolia should be part of globalization. Especially the young Mongolians adopt thus trend.

This store is huge and looks cool and amazing. It must be a shopping paradise! It’s a State Department Store. I don’t see that much customers. Does the State support the exploitation when business is slow?
I think there are less customers because it was mid noon. Usually people do their shopping in the evening. And yes the government supported small and medium size businesses during Covid time in various ways.
