I'm only 2 minutes into the video but hearing you say youre starting blood mage got me pumped. Love all your content dood happy to be able to keep following along on my own mage.
I'm playing Gemling Gemling can use supports for persistent buffs twice, wich inclued former auras like Vitality and Clarity, filling up support slots on them for Thaumathirgical infusion. I'd go 1-4-5-6
@Pohx from what I understood about "Magnitude" (poison magnitude, bleed, etc...) is it is a multiplier for damage depending on how high of a multiplier you can get I suppose. I forget which interview I saw that in.
Im gonna go Gemlin Leggionare with scepters which provide a lot of incresed spirit stats, and try to make like 3 automated skills. Still not sure which path to go with main skills tho. All i know im exited like a kid on Cristmas morning 🙆♂🕺
@PohxKappa since monk attack very fast Do you think having 50% crit chance will be fine? Especially to use 7 and 8 Also consider that it will be feasible to get to 50 without ruining the build, like Jonathan said
Imma go with Chronomancer and use the Hourglass support (that adds a cooldown to skills, but makes them a lot more powerful). The manual cooldown reset actually lets you roll twice for the 33% chance to not trigger the cooldown, meaning there's a decent chance you can cast a powerful skill 3 times in a row (or more).
I honestly think if you can get beefy enough to take the hit from Pyromantic Pact, it could be really good for managing mana, as well as igniting. The following nodes where when you are NOT on low flame, you could drop some really beefy spell for a big ignite, take the hit and then reset the flame. Definitely going to tinker with it myself.
Im going Stormweaver just stack mana, archmage and cast on shock other spells seems like A LOT of spells going everywhere it all depends only what main skill to use and which proc as cast on shock but propably there is some combination thats gonna be good both AoE and single target. Cant wait for righteous fire release since its my fav skill to use - im guessing its gonna be binded to some Templar ascendancy which is cool and thematic.
I am planning to play the Witch with a Life Stacking Infernalist setup. It might be interesting, but the Bloodmage and Infernalist also look very appealing to me. I am currently leveling a Warrior, but I'm not sure if I want to continue in order to have access to the Templar later on. I'm kind of playing him as a Paladin-like character. Lol.
Think I'm planning to do an Essence Drain/wither/temporal chains/dark effigy totem build with the Chronomancer. Kind of like stops time and withers everything and when they come out of it they're dead.
I'm thinking Infernalist may be good for mana stacking MoM defensive layer with ES being secondary defensive barrier. There is also stuff one could do with additional spirit as well. In any case, very tricky ascendancy.
MoM Demon Form sounds really cool if you can sustain it. I don't know if it would work well especially with the 50% less recovery from MoM. ... I want to make demon mommy
@@cd8788 I am not going for Demon Form: thinking of Hellhound pet -> Altered flesh -> Beidats Will or Beidats Gaze or Hand. Still not completely sure. If the pet outlives its usefulness I'll get the other Beidats thing as respec.
Bloodmage with Eternal Youth, Refocus + Covering Ward to jumpstart recharge, a bunch of ES recharge nodes if they can convert, recoup wheels, and the progenesis ascendency node. My goal isn't to do damage, it's to just never die.
very curios on how much max spirit we will have by the end of the campaign. Planning: (Depending on how Overflow will work) Flamblast + Frostfire Blood mage: 1,5,6,4 if i need to increase crit for flameblast or 1,5,7,8 if ES body armor is pretty strong and i feel like i don't need extra crit on flameblast and use Bonestorm for crit bossing sustain. Grim feast + Summon raging spirit (minion instability, Infernal legion) to overflow ES Cast while Chenneling: Frostnova Solar orb cause why not.
Starting Gemking with Crossbow and Quarterstaff or Spear alternate, probably focused on cold damage and detonating ice crystals while debuffing enemies.
At first I thought it was weird locking a first Ascendancy choice to be the exact same one for everyone like Blood Mage, but since it's the whole Identity of the Ascendancy it's pretty neat. Wonder if other Ascendancies will be similar?
I think for anyone looking at hardcore and learning the game, a chronomancer heavy defensive build is going to be super op for just raw survivability. You might be slower than some other builds, but if you just play carefully and focus on defensives, you can just outlast all the other players and stick on the hardcore server longer. Idk I think for first time HC chronomancer is the way
Yeah Pohx, see it my way, Infernalist as a first ascendancy is not bas if you play minions build, because you got minions that tanking for you, so the leveling even with Phys taken as chaos, is not a problem, but where it becom really interresting is when you go take 2 and 4, wich give you a great boos on spirit to created more powerful minions or many more, and stack up your ES, wich going to have alot of boost in the talent tree, and last you get either the Hellhound, or Pyro Pack, but mostly the Burning Dog, its my plan for the league, Minions seem's really underated right now, and Ziz and Asmo think exacltly like me :P
I feel like that hellhound might be the closest thing to RF in the game right now. It's been confirmed that it has no spirit cost and can obviously be supported like any other skill in the game. Interested to see just how hard we can scale up that Ignite Aura it has.
No, with shield you can only block attacks coming from the front. I think that node, means you block all hits = all directions. If it is just the ones coming from the front, then that node is utter garbage unless, there's a unique shield with some interesting shenanigans. I'm going to start Warbringer, I love totems in PoE.
My Starter will be a Giant's Blood Tank Titan, that will stacking strength, armor, block, and magic find. Basically my map farming char, I will use this guy to farm up the gear for my real boss killer which will be Gemling, WitchHunter, or Acolyte of Chlula.
Just a thought, Infernalist #2 ties into #7. More mana, is more room between your infernal flame filling, cast more before reach max. Just a thought? ATM demon forms removes all minions until form is done, GGG said they will look at this in the future, just FYI
For witch hunter i would go 8 6 7 and maybe 1 the exploding is insane 😳 the shield is neet because its not going away like motlen shel it just stays there and gose from 50% to 100% or 10% to 100 thats big you could face tank 1 big slam run away dodge and you can do it again , and 8 for exploding it says that its x2 for undead so you could farm your atlas with undead maps like cemetry or something
I wonder if you can support life remnant with a knockback skill gem. Then pick up a node on the tree to reverse the knockback direction. So that you don’t have to run around and play the mini game to pick up the life remnants… that would be cool
titan minion build cuz i think it's kinda funny and the pathing seems much easier than the gemling but i might change my mind if the 50% bonus doesn't affect attribute nodes
damit still cant decide bethwen: Stormweaver with 5+7 + cast on ignite + cast on freeze + cast on lightning while using a fire skill or Infernalist with 3+8 + cast on ignite + cast on freeze + cast on lightning while using a lightning or freeze skill
I think when i dabble into crit casting with monk im going to do 1-7-8-9 so that i can get more energy off my crits since i most likely wont be crit capped
do you plan on taking the blood magic node on the tree for blood mage? i was thinking that so you dont have to spend life as well as mana for skills? but then int gives mana and you need int for gem requirements so your basically just throwing away all the boost you get from int so idk.
Pretty sure what confuses is the word "magnitude". I think magnitude is just a different word for damage. In which case it would be "elemental damage" contributes to bleeding damage"
I got a problem with titan hulking form is not saying specifically that it hits skill tree nodes 😮 , and as we know reading is the biggest enemi in poe so imagine if it only works on your titan three not passive skill tree that would make people mad xd
It's insane how every pick you took was not my pick for points. #8 is mandatory on Witchhunter man. 100% of their life. 20% chance on undeads and demons is huge.
I'm think an int stacking blasphemy/decaying hex build, with enough AOE on the tree plus Chaos damage and DoT, it's gonna feel just like RF without the need for regen; Int stacking would give a huge chunk of mana to make MoM viable for that extra layer of defence, but I'm can't seem to find an Ascendancy that runs well with it.
Ele res are almost always capped. On the other hand, it seems to completely remove the need for mana regen, which could free resources to focus on life+max mana. I wonder if that also makes the mana flask useless, or maybe it changes to reduce the amount of infernal flame?
Pathfinder is being slept on big time. The poe 1 life flask node has a "50% less life recovery" line. And it's very good even with that. Guess what in poe 2 that line is not there. Having an ever filling perma life flask will mean you can take on any boss that doesn't one or two tap you while other players have to sort out their sustain. Because without sustain you need top tier dps to beat a boss in one shot. And life flasks are the easiest most available unconditional sustain in the game.
Temporal Rift would be cool if it saved you from death if you received fatal hit while it's active, forcefully rewinding you. With a cooldown, of course. Warframe has an identical ability on Protea, but due to fast paced nature of the game, it's hardly ever used If Time Snap could be supported with additional cooldown use gem, it could be funny
It probably doesn't because it says it doesn't... so yeah it doesn't 😂... but I was hoping to make the self damage on Infernalist when you hit max infernal flame to do aoe damage as well and I was going to make that into a build... maybe a unique will make it possible? That's my only hope now.
I'm probably going for Infernalist for a minion build first, but I'm honestly curious about Blood Mage, because of the infinite duration on curses; mainly because Blasfemy, coupled with things like Hex Bloom and Decaying Hex, it basically makes enemies die on their own, forever. And Blood Mage stacking HP with Leech and the health orbs... I think it could be pretty decent at mapping at least; not so sure about bossing tho.
If you take the cost reduction node the bonus should double dip with meta gems. Giving a reduction to both spirit reservation and energy cost which is giga. Node 7 can take care of the downside so it’s simply a 30% discount. Int stacking doesn’t make much sense since it only gives mana I think and with the discount I doubt we’ll need much more mana then our gear will give.
you didnt realize that u mixed up the numbers for the invoker and chayulas thingie for the last class thats why u felt u had 7 in the numbers you chose xD but yeah we still saw the numbers u had chosen for invoker and was able to figure out the order u wanted and why its good for cast on melee
I'm gonna go Chayula and try out the Darkness. I am worried it's gonna be bad but here is my plan to try to utilize it well: - Darkness specifically protects life and energy shield, if I take Mind Over Matter and have no ES I won't reserve any Darkness until I've run out of mana. This way I can maintain my darkness without it being constantly being reserved by chip damage. When my mana does get dropped to zero it will act as emergency mitigation for my life pool. All of that and two ascendency notables for up to 30% damage as chaos doesn't sound worth it, but if it's awful I'll be sure to let GGG know! I am hoping there is something else to this that we aren't seeing on face value.
I'd say go with the minigame, 5 + 6. Just 2 Purple Remnants and you will be at 28% as extra Chaos Damage and you will not have to deal with the downsides of Darkness at all. Get 10 Purple remnants (some boss arenas are tiny) and boom, up to 140% as extra Chaos Damage. Which to me should work as an Elemental to Chaos archetype, focusing on the Chaos part, just because why else would it be Chaos themed if there wasn't some Chaos version of Acolyte that is viable!? I would be so disappointed if the Chaos portion of the Ascendancy is just some random bonus and cannot stand alone, especially since dual damage types are kind of hard to scale in PoE1 and in PoE2.
@@ericberic5052 I do agree, the mini-game nodes look pretty solid even if we are conservative and assume only a couple of each type spawn. The mini-game is my backup plan for when darkness likely fails and since I'll be locked in with Chayula I'm glad to have solid looking alternatives. I'm still going to do it though, because if I try my hardest to make darkness good and it still sucks that's good feedback for GGG. It's early access so they'll be listening. I like the concept but I just think the numbers aren't there.
I think chrono is going to be the rf go to...temporal rift has always been awesome, but not within the poe meta. RF deathscome from running in too fast which is TR yummy.
Im super excited for the infernalist. I can't wait to relive learning righteous fire by dying to my own fire damage!

Anyone going Infernalist off the back is wild.. It seems like it'll be great once we understand what new cool affixs are in the game.
I really think they made infern for you honestly.. lol. You are the RF guy.
How will you solve the crit chance? For bloodmage
Temporal Rift would be cool if it saved you from death if you received fatal hit while it's active, forcefully rewinding you. With a cooldown, of course.
Warframe has an identical ability on Protea, but due to fast paced nature of the game, it's hardly ever used
If Time Snap could be supported with additional cooldown use gem, it could be funny
What does spirit do again?
It probably doesn't because it says it doesn't... so yeah it doesn't 😂... but I was hoping to make the self damage on Infernalist when you hit max infernal flame to do aoe damage as well and I was going to make that into a build... maybe a unique will make it possible? That's my only hope now.
The only thing I do not like about Bloodmage is the mandatory point for Sanguimancy. Feels like having 6 points instead of 8.
I guess that fire resist isn’t high enough to prevent the RF slightly giving you grey hair.
I am undecided between Fancy Borg for power, Chronogrenadier for style or the CHONK for memes.
I think it could be pretty decent at mapping at least; not so sure about bossing tho.
on Infernalist would the life reservations work with CI?
No....cant reserve 1 life.
33:04 mana stacker with enhanced effectiveness seems giga 👀
If you take the cost reduction node the bonus should double dip with meta gems. Giving a reduction to both spirit reservation and energy cost which is giga. Node 7 can take care of the downside so it’s simply a 30% discount. Int stacking doesn’t make much sense since it only gives mana I think and with the discount I doubt we’ll need much more mana then our gear will give.
Will you be creating content/builds etc after the game releases?
Absolutely
The siphon give something like 15-20% max hp per orb
chronomancer gaming 100%

- Darkness specifically protects life and energy shield, if I take Mind Over Matter and have no ES I won't reserve any Darkness until I've run out of mana.
I like the concept but I just think the numbers aren't there.
going invoker but unsure if i want i am blizzard or i am thunder ;/
