The design in last Epoch is far far better than POE1 or POE2 for almost everything, its just a shame the LE dev team is small and bad at extracting money from their player base so the content system is very slow for that game. LE is the best ARPG on the market in terms of character balance, item crafting and boss fights, its really not even close.
What this series of interviews is showing, is that while Tri is talking to a group of PoE enthusiasts, each has their own niche and skill set. We've got a damn fine line up of Creators for our game. We should be quite appreciative of their depth and love they have for the game.
Yeah! The only other community that comes close for me is Warframe, and that is largely due to their unmatchable community team. But their community doesn't have the breadth of diversity in the types of creators like PoE.
Sirgog did not disappoint. He had a lot of good takes in this and most importantly was talking from a numbers or mechanics standpoint of why things feel bad, then provided clear examples. 10/10 interview for sure. Could tell you were learning while talking with him.
but he is so wrong lol, who played through the campaign feeling they got the drops they needed, he said that and its just so false. and making a magic find character is so iconic to poe and its predecessors but he is so busy talking out of his ass about how it must be demolished. he is nowhere near as methodical or logical as he think he is, and trust me he think he is, just look at his thumbnail of his videos
@@MrTnbopp123 I didn't say all of his takes were right, I said he had good ones. Stop projecting. Also, I felt like I got the drops I needed in campaign because of vendor refreshes and that's coming from someone who mains blood mage so I don't feel sorry for the rest of you playing on meta builds complaining about deleting the screen in 2 vs 5 seconds because of a streamer having better rolls. If you don't like him maybe you should not watch the content he's in, loser. Have better self control.
@@MrTnbopp123 3 things since you seem to lack self control. 1. I didn't say all of his takes were right, I said they were good and had sensible reasoning for what his OPINION was. 2. Stop watching content you dislike, why are you even keeping up with his vids if you dislike his pov? you don't get points for posturing to us and pointing the finger, nobody cares bro. I would legit watch a regular cast between you two. You two should do a weekly cast talking about the games main pain points and design criticisms from each of you. Field questions from viewers about what THEY are struggling with/etc.
I am fine with 2 of 3 death penalties or 1 of 3, but right now if I die in a map or a pinnacle boss attempt I lose the map, I lose the loot and I lose experience. If I lost the map modifiers and XP but could go back in and collect my loot that already dropped, I would be fine. If I lost the map and loot but didn't lose hours of XP progress, I would be fine. However, losing all 3,especially on a pinnacle attempt, I immediately lose all interest in continuing at that point.
Have only ruthless to chose as mod feels bad i miss softcore from POE1. In POE1 Ruthless wos like 1% players , softcore wos like 95% and they didnt even ad softcore to POE2, just why? If it wos ok to make Ruthles to chose for 1% players, or less than why its not worth for theme to ad softcore to the game? I just dont have that much time to play 5x slower progresion mode with 1 portal, no movement skills for mana only, 5x biger maps, no ms flask, no crafting just yolo exalt slams its just feels bad compared to POE1 softcore. Im fine with Ruthless in in game but im not fine that we have no softcore to chose.
had the act 2 boss in a citadell... the frindly npc you need to win the fight decided to chill outside of the bossroom and i died to the sandstrom phase...
I think the bigger problem with the end game is less to do with the time it takes and more to do with the aimlessness and RNG. You're not working towards a goal - you're pulling the lever and hoping it lands on 'progress.'
99% uniqs worth 1 shard, 6 worth 100 div. There are a few uniqs that can explode in value only when a popular streamer decides to make a guide. Good balance. 🤣
The game has never been focused around uniques. Yes there are super rare gamebreaking uniques but you can build most classes without any. And sometimes even the uniques needed will be replaced by a god roll rare.
My thinking is that 1 portal on endgame bossses you fight once in ~50 hours is not a good idea. (Economically rational) weak/newer players will sell their invitations as they will likely fail their first attempt but therefore also never get to learn & experience the boss nor progress their trees. My solution would be to have "tiered" invitations, with the level 1 version having 6 portals, allowing for a learning curve but with desired uniques being gated behind higher tiers of bosses, keeping lower tier invitations relatively cheap. With the won skill points, the atlas atlas tree will now allow the invitations to drop of tier 2 etc. At tier 4 you'll fight the hardest version of the boss, with only 1 portal (which is fair because you got to fight the boss atleast 3x times already), but you'll also have a chance to drop the most valued uniques.
the temporalis exploit was: people cleared the 1 hit run to the boss exited sanctum and make 20 new instances and then cleared them all and got 20 times the loot.
1:15:00, I'm running a Sunder Totem Blood Mage build with zero resists. Definitely a wacky off-meta choice, but I’m loving it! My goal is to clear all content with zero resists. I’ve cleared plenty of T18 maps and started taking on the endgame bosses. So far i got down King in the Mists on +1. Next up: simulacrum and the Xesht!
Umm no hi lvl 85 its not fun after 75 no joke not at all. 1 to 70 great endgame is random unfun unbalanced after 75 and just not good . Gear gl with that play your t10 maps cuz higher ones don't drop cuz your not running 1000 percent majick find. Again if this is what you want get help my whole atlass is ways tones the whole damn thing done up to t14 is way stones and I can sustain past 10. Bad design
Great to hear my own thoughts about LE crafting/gearing and how to take inspiration from it in PoE2 by SirGog. The way LE solves these issues is so elegant and well thought out from a design perspective, it ends up feeling great in practice. I truly wish similar targeted gearing will be added along with the removal of MF.
Hey! Love all the interviews! I’ve watched most of em. Would love to see you poll the community and continue these interviews with “normal people” of the community. Would love to see the dichotomy of someone that isn’t a content creator. I’m sure GGG would also enjoy seeing the perspective of the rest of the community. Anyways, food for thought. Keep up the great content! Cheers!
It is interesting to me to see these discussions regarding Magic find. It just makes me more firmly believe that unless you are someone with next to not time to play or you specifically like playing the market that SSF or group SSF is just inherently the better way to play the game. Either way I actually kind of bounced off of POE 2. For some reason I just got fatigued playing it and was not enjoying it much. I pushed myself to get to like 80-100 hours but only really enjoyed I would say 20 of those hours. Hopefully it gets better.
Tri, these podcast have been excellent. As launch hype winds down you should totally do at least, one of these a week, forever. Such great content. Good job dude. Happy Friday btw.
One big issue with the economy in PoE 2 rignt now is the volatile pricing of the divine orb. Someone will list an item for a divine, which might make sense when a divine was worth 50 exalts, but will leave it at that price while the value of the divine orb keeps going up. So, an item which should only be 50 exalts is still now listed as over 100 due to the divine orb increase. So, garbage items are now way over valued by sellers, clogging the trade economy.
@@Epindary New players don't realize that there is a skill set and meta knowledge required for trading in PoE. Or they do recognize this, and they feel that it is not a skill set that should be in an ARPG. My only gripe with trade is I am missing hundreds of search modifiers to really dial in my item search results, but I also know how to trade. Players want to remove that skill ceiling and replace it with a highway anyone can use without friction.
35:03 Jamanra felt fun and fair when initially playing through the acts, but it has one significant bug that's hampered my replays of campaigns and citadels. If he starts to do the wind gusts where you need to stand inside Asala's shield and you heavy stun him _at all_ during that attack, the shield and the wind will desync and she'll drop the shield early leaving you to die. It basically forces people with aoe-based attacks to let the crawling corpses get inside the shield first at the risk of hitting and stunning the boss.
In the "Favorite PoE Moments" there was a bit of speculation about how they designed Uber Elder: one of the devs (I think Rory?) said when designing the Uber fight it was going to be a big brain similar to what became Maven, but it wasn't working technical-wise. So they at some point during that cycle though "what if we put Shaper and Elder in the same fight" and it worked! Apparently there was an initially unnerfed bullet hell phase during it but that thankfully got cut. Not sure when this interview was sadly after the years since. EDIT: With the poll? ITEMIZE THE MAPS PLEASE. One of the coolest things about PoE 1 is that so many things are itemizable, more the better!
A change I would like to see to mapping. If you die in a map, its "fractures" the Waystone, which losses half of its modifiers, but on a successful boss kill you will get a new waystone of the same level. So you are still penalized loot, and loot potential, but you are not as punished with progression as you are right now.
I feel like adding a hard cap to player rarity would solve the problem. It basically would feel like getting res capped, but for mid maps. It diffidently is not optional, but if it worked more like how chaos resistance does, I think that would feel pretty fun.
I really like the recent interviews and I think that Tri has stepped up his game along with the PoE 2 release! On the topic of item rarity - I have an unusual take. Invert the diminishing returns - make it so that rarity matters only if you have a LOT of it, so that in order to specialize in rarity you have to make sure that you have it everywhere, and you are DEFINITELY lacking something else. Just like specializing in anything on the atlas passive tree in PoE 1 - if you want to do a mechanic, you have to go all in on in, and if you go all in on it - you are missing something else that you might consider fun, so it's a hard choice. My suggestion - remove rarity from regular items, put it in the mechanic trees in the atlas. Like the Breach tree has "increased rarity of items dropped by breach monsters" and it only works for that, not everything in the game. If you want rarity everywhere - make rarity-specific items, which have max 2 prefixes and 2 suffixes, and only those can roll rarity. There - you want rarity, you have to pay for it.
i know this is a poe2 conversation, but the mandatory part of rarity was also seen in poe1 with "increased effect of modifiers", honestly probably on the chopping block with the philosophy "if it feels mandatory then it needs to go and power moved elsewhere"
my solution to magic find: 1. dont let it affect currency and in return make currency less rare in the base game 2. Remove/reduce the effect of magicfind on soulcore 3. remove the abiltiy to roll magic find from gloves boots and helmets 4.buff loot drops in general ( less blue more belts amulets and ring)
@@Iwo142 because there are multiple ways to play and farm, some people kill faster and have massive farming strats and buy all thier gear anyways so they dont relie on magic find... and some players cook their own unoptimized builds, dont kill as fast and find most of thier gear without using trade... the 2nd kind enjoys increasing the odds of getting rarer loot. and the 3rd group deletes screens with 1 button broken erly acces interactions and slaps on way more magic find then intended and get the most of all of them.
Tri, thank you for this content. Cruel is just placeholder and numbers for it were most likely quickly calculated without much testing, that is why it feels easy compared to act 1-3. Final acts 4-6 will most likely have different curve (hopefully).
Thank you for hitting on the rune problem, I know the game has a lot of problems right now but as a dude whos just going through the game. Not being able to swap runes in my gear has been the most frustrating road block of my enjoyment playing right now.
its not just magic find over character power... the problem is you die anyways to boss abilitys investing into defence unless its es feels pointless at the moment.
I got to level 92 and only found ONE citadel, then I het level 93 and found enough citadels to fight the arbiter of ash 3x times lmao, now I havent seen a single citadel again...
Maybe this is a bit of a hot take, but i actually like the current itemization in diablo 4, dops, crafting etc. What i like about is that they took the purple items idea from Last Epoch so you find a cool base item, you can change one stat on it so you dont have to find a perfect item and then there is some crafting stuff that makes the item stronger and adds stuff beyond what can just be aquired from drops. That way for the perfect item you need a good drop + crafting, which i really like.
Item quality should be awarded for achievement completion. For each achievement you complete, you get a pre-determined quality boost consistent with the difficulty of the challenge. This would keep it from getting abused and also reward players for completing different parts of the game.
Describes the community overreaction and how we missed a chance at potentially good gameplay because of it. Then does the very same thing in the next sentence because "I can't be sure". You can _try_ it! No one says that "player damage is pre-nerfed so that you can roll increased damage on your weapons"... Sirgog is usually reasonable but magic find makes everyone go insane, apparently.
@@Reashu Exactly. The entire streamer community has lost their goddamned minds over rarity, because of one Zizaran video where he reacted to someone finding 6 divs in one map, which was fake. Literally this entire drama is over a faked screenshot. Rarity is fine as is.
@@zanido9073I’m gonna have to disagree with you there man, I’m running nothing but tier 16s and I tested 20 t16 maps without rarity gear and 20 t16s with rarity gear and the difference was pretty substantial, I know 20 isn’t enough to have solid data but that’s kind of my point, I got 1 divine without rarity and about 12 exalts, lots of rare gear gave me about 3 divines and 20 something exalts. Your definitely missing out if you’re not using it. And when you have a stat like that, which clearly gives an advantage in trade, it makes Everyone want to run with that one stat and that’s not what GGG wants in their game, it’s not the streamers saying it it’s also the people making the game idk how they allowed this to happen it shouldn’t affect currency period
@@thatsoulsguy3028how long did maps take? How many mobs did you kill? Were they white maps? All these facts matter things like this is why people are acting like they are. Not trying to be a dick im actually curious if you have the stags
I really don’t get the hardline stance on rarity. Obviously the top blasters are abusing it and it needs to be nerfed at the very top end. I’m in tier 8 maps with 150% and I’m getting maybe 1-2 ex a map. I really don’t see a problem with that
It's a combination of the loot buff as well past T10 it really picks up quite a bit on top of the juicing you can do to maps which is why they nerfed breach
I don't like using this term because it's ridiculously overused, but it's literally just because they've been spreading misinformation. Zizaran made one video reacting to some guy dropping 6 divs in one map, which was FAKED, and from that point on all the streamers unanimously have been on a crusade about it. Over literal fake news. It's so stupid. I've been running 500 rarity for a few weeks. My previous character ran 150. Can I tell the difference? The 500 rarity one gets higher tiered rares. That's about it. I have yet to find a t0 unique. I was dropping divines regularly on 0 rarity, 150, and 500. Yes it makes a difference, no it's not mandatory. And because of the diminishing returns, it's extremely easy to get a significant amount of rarity for very little investment.
@zanido9073 Yeah ive had 0-25iir the whole time and my build is almost at the cost of a mirror. The tablet quant stacking does seem problematic though, but nobody seems to mention that since they have no clue.
Also in a similar mind set as Im currently running what I feel is reasonably juiced Waystones 200-250% rarity map mods(when including atlas buffs) with 95% rarity on gear ,t15-18 with breaches + tablets and I see a few ex maybe in a run, had 1 div on two occasions. Now I'm not some instant screen clearing build but I seem to clear alright in breaches so I'm left to assume the rarity issue is if your deleting 100mobs/sec in party with stacked rarity in the pinnicle of juiced Waystones as although it IS noticble running with a fair chunk of it , I cant say its felt like night and day. In saying all this its likely best they remove it entirely as a stat on gear at this point as it would only be nerfed to the point of not using it thus making it as good as gone anyway, Shame as I enjoyed MF in D2.
@@Epindary That's fairly common. Since youtubers are in this to make money, you just pander to the crowd and discuss mostly irrelevant topics. If you're wrong, just keep making new videos, no apologies needed. The real abuse cases or situations that make dozens of divines an hour, is what they either do off stream, or just aren't aware of. There are hundreds of players who break the game, and thousands upon thousands who just copy what they think is breaking the game.
Hi Tri. I’m a casual gamer SSF Infernalist Minion Summoner - lvl 55-60 in Campaign. I do not find the magic find that much of an issue, however that being said I did find it hard to find gear with magic find in the first place. I was finding blues and upgrading and slamming with rarity on gear. I’m at 124% MF but at the cost of other problems. Such as lower RES/Stats and even lower HP or MANA. MF is a MANDATORY STAT for SSF. 0% to 60 was a big jump and from 60 to 120 wasn’t a noticeable jump.
So much of the rarity debacle is driven by content creators and reddit posts creating massive FOMO. Rarity is not as impactful as people think, and has heavy diminishing returns. Gog normally has a lot of data driven content, so I'm surprised he doesn't present any in this discussion. I don't even like it as a player stat, but the idea you wouldn't even recommend people play POE2 until it's removed is unbelievable extreme, and again fearmongering and driving FOMO, making the issue worse.
There are two types of content creators, those who face the mob by telling them what they need to hear, and those who are looking to make money. In this case every single PoE content creator is seeing a massive boom of new viewers and engagement. You can do a 3-hour essay on the fine details of a mechanic, and the nuances behind it, or you can just pander to the crowd and take the free revenue. It takes so much work to educate, and very little effort to just tell someone "Yup, you're right".
@@LV9_x this 1000%. these streamers and youtubers are on cloud nine. ghazzy isn't about to tell you the game is shit while he's raking in like 1000x his normal sub rate. these viewers are sheep and have no clue how they are being steered.
Was running 100rarity and did not drop a div. Drops rarity for survivability, 3 divs drops like boom boom boom. Surviving the madness is where the true profit comes from
It’s a multiplier on map increased rarity and quantity. Yes it has huge diminishing returns but the difference between 0 mf, 100 mf and 400 mf on a 200 rarity map is 0mf (need a ton more testing on this number), 200 mf, 800mf. It really compounds at the higher levels where even if it falls off 75% past 200mf you still get 150mf effectively extra with diminishing returns. Since it also applies to currency, each exalt roll can be rolled into a div, same goes with other currency. Since divs are by far the most valuable drop, even increasing their drop rate marginally leads to huge profit increases. Add the shield with 250 mf with the right soul cores and roll and you end up with everyone picking builds that can use that.
The try hards are going to kill the game. Don't get me wrong I loved the pre nerd gameplay. But I have 200+ hours in as a new player and currently only 71. This blitz to the end is nuts
we are PoE players, we have litterally tens of thousands of hours in PoE 1 annnnd for many of us tryharding is part of the fun. My suggestion is just to play the game how YOU enjoy it, because trust me there's no fear to have about the game dying :) Comparison is the thief of joy. I'm a big tryhard and I've been playing for 10 years, if anything tryhards like me are quite litterally the reason why you can play PoE 2 : We made PoE 1 successfull by supporting it financially, so much so that they made enough money to develop a sequel.

Your entitlement is unreal.
I've really enjoyed your talks! keep it up. While this is poe focused I liked you and sirgogs reminiscing about DDO even though I never played it! It reminded me of my favorite times in games years ago
I think overwriting runes is a mechanic/forge/bench in the later acts that was not introduced yet. otherwise it doesnt make sense that we get so many weak runes left and right
Definitely my 1k hours in PoE has helped my monk build in PoE 2 having a “lay of the land” I have around 6 divine invested into the build most of those divines are in upgrading skills with greater jeweler’s orbs which has helped significantly to my dps. I haven’t even needed to use trading by just going solo self found (SSF) and crafting equipment with exalts I’ve made which is over 200 at my puny lvl 78 lol
fought the arbiter of ash twice. Spawned his orbs on opposite ends of the arena outside of the screen each time. My blink cooldown just can't recover in time.
The problem is, that Elitist PoE players (influencers) who want harder fights/Bosses etc Will kill the game for casual players. Loot does need looking at, I've fought many rare mobs with no reward, or opened a Yellow chest for nothing. Seems a bit off to me
No, the problem is that there are different types of players. Some of us enjoy harder content that requires us to learn and adapt. Others prefer games that you just click through and win. No game will please both types, and POE2 is clearly designed for those that want more.
@@valsacar1 I love hard bosses but some of the stuff in the game right now is complete BS. For example I really don’t agree with what was said in this video that the act two boss is “hard but fair” and if anything it just shows me that both the POE player base and GGG might not understand boss design. The game is clearly trying to be souls inspired with the heavy emphasis on dodge role, but they don’t seem to exactly understand what makes the boss fights in those games fair.
What does a hard final pinnacle boss have to do with the rare mob you kill in your map? The game is about grinding. That is how everyone gets loot. You need to focus on knowledge as to what to farm and how to farm to get money. Its not a diablo game where you just mindlessly kill monster and get stronger
@@BasketCase-rr7tx Honestly? Haven't had any issues with bosses. Only two that made me hate my time was the Chimera because it spends half the time running away and drops status effects that never dissipate and the magma boss because it's such a DPS check. Act2 boss is all about controlling where he drops his effects. You can end up making an impossible battlefield or stacking the effects in places that are out of the way enough that you can ignore them.
The only reason I know what "sacrosanct" means, is that GGG used it to describe the economy in PoE. I have no doubt they will ban everyone who used the trial exploit.
People should not be abusing exploits. But because this is early access having people find this stuff is important and punishing players should not be a thing during early access. Tho GGG should make it consistently very clear that once the game is out of early access people abusing an exploit will be banned.
@@TheHollowBlade The difference I feel, is between finding and reporting an exploit, and abusing an exploit. People abusing like this should absolutely be banned, but if you just find one, reproduce it 1 or 2 times to confirm and report it then you should be given a pass.
They don’t even ban the many many botters and in game item/currency buyers. PoE 1 has one of the biggest real money third party sales ever. And poe2 is following that direction. No one even talks about it lol. People use map hacks and all kinds of bs
Done 64 lighthouses cleared a huge portion of my map..... nope not 1 citadel found just about done have 1 l95 3 l80 characters all capable of t15 still no citadels.... so frustrating
Crafting in poe1 was one of the most rewarding parts of the game…. It felt amazing to figure that stuff out and craft my own items. They just raped and pillaged that completely.
37:21 I agree for the most part except for Queen of Filth. That fight needs some tweaking on her hitbox. The amount of times I’ve died to her roll attack even though I dodged perfectly but somehow she still pushes me into her slam. Like, it is literally so janky it looks like she teleports me.
The whiplash I got when y'all started talking about DDO. I've never met anyone else in the wild that played. I wish so badly for DDO2 (without the p2w stuff ofc...)
New players should be playing this beta, we need all the data we can get, for a better and more complete game on release. They aim for 6mths to 1 yr, we can't forget this is an incomplete game with less than half of a full release. 🎉❤😊
Rarity/quantity is way too rng on waystones tho? Like half the time I feel like I'm running maps with extra gold or something. Shouldn't it be an implicit stat like waystone quant?
I am proud of myself then, because my physical damage blood mage absolutely WRECKED Jammy both on normal and cruel. Bone storm plus armor debuff curse just absolutely stomped him. All I had to focus on was moving in and out to collect the blood orbs that I generated on him.
Somebody get PoE2 to add the modifier on belts, health or mana flasks to do "10-25% increased movement speed for 2-5 seconds". It's killing me how slow a character can be if you don't get movement speed on boots!
they could just compress the rarity curve to make a +20% rarity do what a +100% does now and make it have huge diminishing returns beyond a +20%. that would make it so any given build only wants a single item that provides +20% rarity and leave the rest of items and modifiers for the actual build. then fix armor and make movement speed an implicit on boots.
Finally someone that says the right thing, we're all still noobs at this new game, but so many content creators act like veterans and just criticize things to then make another video correcting the bs they said first because they simply didn't played enough of the game yet and think themselves of experts... i didn't knew sirgog but mad propz to him! awesome pod
ohh i didnt even thought about that the sekhama bug could be used for ANY random currency. Thats a MASSIVE possible exploit for every user in the game. and its quite public right now
The maps grind is insane... 200+ hrs in and I'm on lvl 88. It's now taking about a week to make one level. You either do a snail grind on lower maps or you try higher maps and get one shot by something (cold caster, 2.2k health, 6.3k ES.) It's a little infuriating. The time cost is too high and I'm now burnt out. That means I won't play it again for a year. I havent changed or found any better gear in 10 levels. It took three attempts to beat my first citadel. It feels like pissing into the wind now.
Leveling so far has been more fun than endgame for me(new player). The second character/playthrough is significantly more enjoyable now that I'm familiar with the combos and synergy of the passives and acendencies.
Sirgog as always is absolutely correct about MF and that it needs to be removed from gear, and those who disagree simply haven't thought about magic find enough or are benefiting from it at a level outside of the norm. Yeah! The only other community that comes close for me is Warframe, and that is largely due to their unmatchable community team. But their community doesn't have the breadth of diversity in the types of creators like PoE.
cant agree more
Sirgog did not disappoint. He had a lot of good takes in this and most importantly was talking from a numbers or mechanics standpoint of why things feel bad, then provided clear examples. 10/10 interview for sure. Could tell you were learning while talking with him.
He has a great mind and its always a pleasure to watch it work in real time
but he is so wrong lol, who played through the campaign feeling they got the drops they needed, he said that and its just so false. and making a magic find character is so iconic to poe and its predecessors but he is so busy talking out of his ass about how it must be demolished. he is nowhere near as methodical or logical as he think he is, and trust me he think he is, just look at his thumbnail of his videos

I would legit watch a regular cast between you two. You two should do a weekly cast talking about the games main pain points and design criticisms from each of you. Field questions from viewers about what THEY are struggling with/etc.
I think a semi-regular podcast would be a really good idea. You're the perfect person for it tri anyway.
Losing the map stone if you die makes sense to me but everything else just feels bad
@@greggeiger7532yeh i agree losing the map and pinnacle attempt, but not xp, xp loss is a cancer in gaming.

I think the bigger problem with the end game is less to do with the time it takes and more to do with the aimlessness and RNG. You're not working towards a goal - you're pulling the lever and hoping it lands on 'progress.'
Things just feel really out whack. Most uniques are complete and utter dog but theres like 6 where if you get them you just win
"Uniques"? You mean Orb of Chance shard coins?
@catra195 fr
This, it's either you build around an overpowered unique, or its trash.
Dude you just have a very positive vibe and usually that feels fake to me but with you it seems very genuine.
Bro is a prophet xd

Temporalis duping and sekhema GOING BACK IN TIME instance bug to not consume relic is actually fitting the last boss and trials's vibe. XD

'I wouldn't recommend PoE2 to new players' and 'The 1-70 experience is a 9/10' are wildly contradictive statements.
I assume he means new players to ARPG. I don't think anyone who played any diablo derivative games would have a problem with PoE2
As someone new to path of exile, without community guides, I would have no idea what to do in this game.

Keep up the great content! Cheers!
Thanks for these Tri, all these new people to me got a sub, loved Sirgog!
OH WE GOT SIRGOG ON THE POD 🔥
@@Justin-ud9rr thats an impossible item, just FYI. I'm sure your boots are excellent.
That's not how economics works.
@@Justin-ud9rr Cool story bro

@@Epindary New players don't realize that there is a skill set and meta knowledge required for trading in PoE. Or they do recognize this, and they feel that it is not a skill set that should be in an ARPG. My only gripe with trade is I am missing hundreds of search modifiers to really dial in my item search results, but I also know how to trade. Players want to remove that skill ceiling and replace it with a highway anyone can use without friction.
Sirgog and the way he breaks things down, explains things, chef's kiss.
I see Sirgog, i grab a drink and buckle in. Watched all of this, thank you guys!
The man the myth the legend. Fun talk! It went by so fast.
Thank you so much tri and gog.
i know this is a poe2 conversation, but the mandatory part of rarity was also seen in poe1 with "increased effect of modifiers", honestly probably on the chopping block with the philosophy "if it feels mandatory then it needs to go and power moved elsewhere"
i dont mind the 1 portal thing with the new boss precurssors etc.

my solution to magic find:
1. dont let it affect currency and in return make currency less rare in the base game
2. Remove/reduce the effect of magicfind on soulcore
3. remove the abiltiy to roll magic find from gloves boots and helmets
4.buff loot drops in general ( less blue more belts amulets and ring)
Why do you need rarity so much in this game. Just remove it. Its a toxic stat

Thank you for hitting on the rune problem, I know the game has a lot of problems right now but as a dude whos just going through the game. Not being able to swap runes in my gear has been the most frustrating road block of my enjoyment playing right now.
i was one of the (presumably few) people who was generally fine with IIR as a player stat but i think sirgog changed my mind.
its not just magic find over character power... the problem is you die anyways to boss abilitys investing into defence unless its es feels pointless at the moment.
I got to level 92 and only found ONE citadel, then I het level 93 and found enough citadels to fight the arbiter of ash 3x times lmao, now I havent seen a single citadel again...
We need a D2”hel” rune in POE2
Maybe this is a bit of a hot take, but i actually like the current itemization in diablo 4, dops, crafting etc.
What i like about is that they took the purple items idea from Last Epoch so you find a cool base item, you can change one stat on it so you dont have to find a perfect item and then there is some crafting stuff that makes the item stronger and adds stuff beyond what can just be aquired from drops. That way for the perfect item you need a good drop + crafting, which i really like.
I'm a founding member/ permavip in Lord of the Rings Online. I relate to these nostalgic DDO stories (same company did both MMOs)
Item quality should be awarded for achievement completion. For each achievement you complete, you get a pre-determined quality boost consistent with the difficulty of the challenge. This would keep it from getting abused and also reward players for completing different parts of the game.

I share the sentiment about Black Star. Most enjoyable blind encounter I can recall. Well, except for every single boss in PoE2.

Lol
What’s is magic find item rarity?

They don’t even ban the many many botters and in game item/currency buyers. PoE 1 has one of the biggest real money third party sales ever. And poe2 is following that direction. No one even talks about it lol.
People use map hacks and all kinds of bs
i started in open beta and it legit took me until 3.0+ till i killed my first conqueror. and i felt that was good.
Your positivity is needed right now. Hard to find content lately. Glad you're taking off
Done 64 lighthouses cleared a huge portion of my map..... nope not 1 citadel found just about done have 1 l95 3 l80 characters all capable of t15 still no citadels.... so frustrating
Go in a straight line away from the start. It’s like depth in delve in all directions.
Like, it is literally so janky it looks like she teleports me.
just make 6 portals a thing on bosses, except if you die to the boss, you have to start the boss fight from the start it's not too hard
1:12:30 you could make the "exalted" mods to have ilvl 1
Sirgog is top 3 smartest and most knowledgeable creator in a community that already has IQ levels through the roof.
