Love this, Kristina Fowler! I SO RELATE with the "I'm not the mom who loves to go to the zoo and sit around and play tea parties; I'm more of the business professional-type mom." This fact is what made me nervous to homeschool but I've made up my mind that we're DOING IT! Anyway, THANK YOU for this video! I am soaking it in. (P.S. I was "unschooled" and am not personally a fan of that style, probably just because of my personality, so I appreciate your pointers, ideas, and personal experience!)

Time4learning was wonderful for us all the way up to third grade. He's dyslexic and the heavier reading started then. So we switched but it was great for him. And I was so glad there was music and animation to keep his attention.

rudy garza hi my son is dyslexic too. May I ask what you switched to. He is really having trouble and without being able to read we really can't get any subject done

I LOVE your stations idea! I've lightly begun homeschool with my oldest daughter, who is five, and we usually do her reading lesson during her sisters' naps. Looking toward the future, though, I'll have FIVE little ones within six years of each other, and we plan to homeschool them all at once. A stress-free approach will definitely be necessary for me! ;) I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Awesome video. I fell into homeschooling on accident too, was supposed to be a year with my oldest, then fell in love with it and now I homeschool all 5 of my kids. I am a new subscriber to your channel, I would love to see more homeschool videos, curriculum choices or day in the life videos etc.

Love this! I love the joy you have in teaching your children and how you found a way to make it work for your family. As your kids get older (like 5th grade and up) do you think you will stick with this style?

I love how you are managing this and make it seem so easy! I noticed you mentioned you love doing fun things with them and though you might be interested in a new science curriculum I'm developing! I would be happy to send you some labs to check out and review!

Yes yes! I love this! We have a creativity "center," and also use BrainQuest. We used time4learning and also use ABCmouse and Starfall.com :) We have a little library area. We also have Amazon's Fire for kids with the "Freetime" app which is terrific!! I am so glad I found this video and your channel. This is the first time I was totally aligned with another homeschooling Mom!

A lot of people say that homeschooling is nice and everything and I go to public school and it's awful and I work hard it's terrible I have to wake up early and when I work hard I GET IN RETURN YOU CAN DO BETTER!! I mean school is really hard it's like a job... I'm just a teen and my parents say this and that blah blah .. And complain I mean I HATE Really HATE school.. So does everyone in my grade and the grade before the grade I'm in.. I told my parents if I could be home schooled and they said no and I said but it will be easier and they complained and said this and that blah blah blah.. I get so stressed out I just can't take it anymore and I'm just a teenager but yeah I hate how people embarrass you UUUUGGGGHHHH and their lunch is terrible!!! People gag or about to throw up or actually throw up this is why I FREAKING hate school so does my friends and I stay bored for 8 hours each day it's horrible there's lots of things that I rather do then go to school this life well for me and a lot of people is horrible!!! :( If you're still reading this Dang.. But yeah I hate school if I rate it 1 to 10 from bad to good I will rate it Hhhhmmmm ZERO NOTHING >:) haheha.ha :/ :(

you seem very sure of yourself and the way ur raising ur kids.... got a baby girl on the way and the mother's just not gonna be around so it's on me to make sure my baby has all the shit she needs.
i'm fuckin terrified! I've got absolutely no help with this!
i WILL be a good dad i know what it's like to go without so if i gotta have nothing so she can have everything i know i can do it i just don't know how to raise a child i never even had a puppy lol....

    • @KristinaRichie

+Alex Lindsey You will be an amazing father! Babies sure as heck don't come with instructions, but you will figure it all out as time goes on it will be second nature to you. I'm so very happy to hear there are men like you that step up to the plate and take on being a single parent!!! You will love that baby so much you will do everything in your power to make sure she is healthy and happy and that's what a good parent does!!!! Being a parent is the most terrifying yet rewarding thing in this world!

    • @alexlindsey2407

+Coach Me Kristina yeah it's terrifying so I'm just trying to absorb all the advice I can from my friends with kids and RUclips videos lol. thank you for the kind words like I said I'm pretty alone with all this haven't spoken to my parents in years and the mom isn't around so It's really nice to hear some encouraging words :)

How long before your baby arrives? I don't know what happened between you and your parents, but really put some thought into reaching out to them. Yes, you can do this on your own, but it would be more rewarding to share this with your parents.
