Nice! When I've used waterproof cameras in the rain I've added 'Rain-X' to the lens cover - it's a really cheap (around £5) hydrophobic coating made for car windows that lets water run off without any need to wipe it away! It usually lasts a few uses in heavy water before you need to wipe a bit more on. I'm still working my way through the bottle I bought 12 years ago.. I also live in Wales, so I've had to learn to adapt my equipment to the rain 😆
Damn, I clicked on this to check out a niche film camera and get flashbanged with Cardiff, didn't expect that from my recommended videos. Cool stuff, shouts out from over here in Barry. Maybe I'll see you around when I'm out shooting around out there too✌
I have 3 110’s, and really like the look. My favorite of yours was the two guys on the bikes. When I lived in Germany I rode my bike and used 110 a lot at various locations.
That thing looks like a bloody submarine !!! I’ve never seen anyone seem so happy for rain 😂 4:02 this is my favourite but an amazing bunch of photos, makes me hyped to get my 110 out and make a video 🙌🏼
cool video, been shooting some 110 myself. BTW the white dots, are i believe, pinholes in the backing paper for the film, on color they are red. i think lomo's backing paper is not as opaque as it could be. i put some light proof black tape over the film counter window, and it seems to help.
Awesome video! I recently purchased the Minolta Autopak 460tx, and it seems *really* similar to the Weathermatic. I show my first roll of Tiger 200 and actually got pretty good results. I really want to try the Orca next and then maybe Purple or Turquise since I think those "experimental" films will lend themselves well to the smaller 110 negatives. I also have to admit that using the 460tx was a really fun shooting experience too, especially when I turned the camera on its side to take Portrait orientation photos haha. I shot a lot of 110 as a kid but I used toy cameras. These Minolta cameras have great lenses and features, and can be found for cheap!
Some interesting results: I never was a fan of 110 films. But I do have the Minolta Weathermatic 35DL, which is a fun camera to use, although I have never had the guts to stick it underwater. But I have taken it out in snow storms!
snow storms sound great! esp with flash. yeah the only reason I stuck it under was because it was so cheap lol any more expensive and I wouldn't be able to do it!
Oh -- I have the 'Dual 35' 35mm Minolta Weathermatic and it works great -- I have taken it in the pool with the kids. Haven't been to the beach in a few years, but I'd like to try it in the surf....
@@Eclectachrome-- Yeah! Who needs a GoPro or waterproof action camera! Hah! I'm going to fight of the sharks by whacking them on the head with my 110/35mm Weathermatic camera!!!
Pretty good 'resolution' for 110 -- the greys and tendency towards dark exposure reinforces the dinginess of the day.... But that's what you'd expect....
yeah and the film might have been expired too, I can't remember its been awhile since I actually finished the video haha but yeah matches the days weather vibes!
@@Eclectachrome if you need more photos to show for that review(if you preordered it for it to come next month like I sadly did) I can send you what I capture
@@brandontech512 I’ve already shot it and sent it back to Lomography! They lent me one to borrow in late Feb 😍 but would like to see your photos anyways!
One good thing about the Minolta Weathermatic series (110, 35mm and APS) is the color -- very subtle and stealthy!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
hahahah people wouldn't even know what it was!! you takin a picture of me? nope ;p
Glad to see 110 format getting some love. I adore 110, so easy and fun to shoot!
Thanks! Yeah it deserves more love!!

Cool results Molly! I picked up one of those a couple years ago but haven't used mine yet.
thanks Matt! There we go, another video idea :)
Having analogue fun, great
I have this very same camera, and LOVE shooting with it...its just so much fun! Thanks for creating this inspiring video...
thanks for watching it! that's awesome, it is LOADS of fun!!
This is a such a sweet journey to be a part of! Thanks for sharing your adventure with this groovy camera!
Aw thanks so much Claire!! 😊

Whabam! Hahah that would be fab, just say hey if you see the yellow camera 📷 😄
I wish I could find 124 film. My first camera was an Instamatic. Many memories from that era.
Are you scanning the film? If so, how? This thing shoots better than I was expecting for 110. Great work!
Thanks! I got lab scans!
ooh what a fun camera! Love the results and the wet lens actually adds quite a dreamy effect, I'm all for it! great video! 💙
thanks!! it's super fun!

@@Eclectachrome this response made me laugh out loud 😂
Thanks for this very nice video! I would love to watch the 110mm video
Super fun video! I just got one of these with a roll of film from a garage sale and I was trying to decide if I should even try it. Now I know I will.
Have fun!
I have 3 of these, one was my mums from the 80s one I bought and one I got for free with some other photography stuff. It's such a fun camera.
nice! always great to have backups :) so fun!!
Interesting camera. Thanks for sharing it.

I had heard the same thing about the Tiger 200 and am thinking about putting electrical tape over the back of my camera
ohhhh interesting! will try that next time!

Awesome!! It's a lot of fun, and I LOVE Orca when it's fresh, haha 😄 also yeah the experimental films are great to lean into on 110
just scooped one up for $8! cant wait to find some film for it
fabulous!

110 cameras are so fun. I have a Kodak teleektra 600 and it’s so fun ^.^
I need a Patterson reel or another tank for 110 film though hehe
yes! they are hard to find though! I love to get one too
@@Eclectachrome there’s one being sold on Etsy rn but I feel like it doesn’t do the ratchet thing and I’m afraid to load a reel without that

Ah haaa! Typical Cardiff weather 😂 I miss every single inch of this wonderful city
You and me both!
does it have auto exposure and zone focus control?
Yes!
Look at Minox subminiature 8X11 film. I carry a Minox all of the time.
That’s fab, would love to see some examples if you have an instagram?
If you like 110 there is a new 110 film camera that Lomography makes called the Lomomatic 110
Yes I have a review coming soon on that!

Fun fact -- the 110 negative size is almost exactly the same size as the Micro-Four-Thirds sensor....
ohhhh that is a very fun fact!
