Unclogging Huge Trash Rack To Drain High Water Near The Street

- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

The new gloves are a great addition! That will keep you much safer in areas with metal or sharp debris. Good choice! 👍
I was just thinking the same, glad to see them.
Yeah!
He hurts himself later in the video because he wasn't wearing them haha
I hope somewhere in the world there are beavers making self-build videos for RUclips
Someone needs to get a beaver costume and get to it 😂

If someone would've told me "one day you'll be obsessed with watching videos about some random, special dude unclogging blocked drains and culverts" I would've laughed it off yet, here I am, no regrets, loving every video 😊😊😊
Thank you, Sir, for being a great steward of taking care of our delicate road ways, and of nature. You are a natural teacher. I could listen to you all day!
I love you @Post 10 You really do save my sanity after a hard/difficult day working.. After getting home + dinner, bath, etc.. the best thing i could ask for is something simple, down to earth and entertaining. I get that in all your long videos, and this helps me to relax, ..oh, and a large pint of bitter helps! Love your work, so happy for you that you got a job you love doing too,!! We all need a Post 10 in our local area's, you do an amazing job Post 10, and you never take the credit for what you do, you are a hero without a cape. ;-) .Never stop being you, you are an amazing soul...
You take me all over America while I watch you in my truck over Europe and Scandinavia. Love your efforts and entertainment you provide us with.
I just found your videos today randomly, have been watching for 2 hours now. They're incredibly fascinating, relaxing and watching the water drain is almost hypnotic. All with a positive attitude and helping your community. What a legend. So far my favourite video was the one with a huge lightning storm going on, the sounds were incredible! Thanks!
Post 10 has a multitude of videos, covering a wide variety of subjects, everything from storm drains and culverts to exploring abandoned places to getting out in the wilderness and camping in culverts and under trees and lots more stuff, he has a lot of things to experience so when you get a day off, binge watching his videos is a great way to get to know what he is All about, he has four channels and they are all good
I'd like to encourage you, as James Alinio has, to check out his other channels as well. They are all fascinating. He tests the durability of food cans over time, it's very informative so you can know what might be good to eat and what is definitely bad to eat, just in case something happens and you have to survive on canned food. He goes really in-depth and even uses a microphone and chemical test strips.
post 10 is a very valuable asset to all communities everywhere. He should be on every screen in America.
I loved watching Post and Tonka the Tortoise enjoying watermelon together on a hot summer day.
@@annetterisso2783 Post 10 just uploaded two short clips of Tonka, in one of them you can hear a doggie happy cry, that is April, the little doggie Post 10 used to have with him
Welcome to the rabbit hole!!🎉😊
I must say! Thank you for transitioning to 4k! The video quality is noticeably better. The 1080p vids had a habit of pixelating in the wide shots before. Now it's crystal clear. Much appreciated!
That helmet does look pretty cool! Sounds like you have been pretty darn busy - thanks for continuing on with all the videos! God bless!
It is bug season again - you can see them flying past the camera. Now that you are wearing a hard hat you should try that trick of adding a layer of packing tape around it smeared with insect barrier to attract & trap the insects (deer flies in particular).
Either that, or spray your upper torso and jacket liberally with 'Jungle Formula' repellent.
Murderous 😂😂
The hole inthe tree could be a .44 after all your in the USA.
yup and muddy places this time of the year is tick season hehe
Something reflective on your Helmet (or hat) is very good at deterring deerfly and horsefly. Still haven’t anything good for blackflies. Those things will get around and through everything. A full bug jacket might get me outside in May, but not much else.
I dont know what causes it but whenever i watch one of your viedeos it calms me down so much I could watch videos of you unclogging things and dismentaling dams all day long. Thank you for your content
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoy my stuff
Second Attempt To Intercept Plastic Tsunamis In the Rio Motagua: Introducing Interceptor Barricade. The Ocean Intercept on a bigger scale, you aren't alone in the fight Post. Boyan Slat spends a lot of time thinking about the ocean. The Dutch inventor has designed the world’s first ocean plastic cleanup system but admits he won’t be on the ship with it when it launches out of San Francisco on Saturday. “I am not a man of the sea,” he says. Keep it up Post! and oh, by moving the water around, you are reducing the incidences of fires in the areas you do pay attention to, you should get an award for your work!

Takes the Rubish out before the Water is released 👍👍
so, there's this lonely guy in the middle of nowhere and then he take out his camera and suddenly he's a nature tour guide for tens of thousands of people, filling multiple stadiums. the internet is amazing.
Great job thanks. Chris from England
I have learned so much from you, all your hard work and dedication is truly awesome. Thank you for each and every video you produce.. edit and display. You are inspiration. Much love and respect from BC Canada.
How do we get this guy a Nobel peace prize? He does more for the environment in one video than I probably have done in all my years on earth.
Oh my goodness Post! I just watched all your new videos. They kept coming up at the end of the video. Absolutely amazing 👍
loved your video about the seedlings, would love to see one with your ponds and tadpoles too! :D
Thanks for the adventure. You look so official in your helmet! Have a wonderful day
Playing Frogger with that traffic is very trusting of you. 🐸
Your findings are spot on sir! Shame about your tires.. such a pain•¿•😶 . Ty for the content 👍 🐌☕🐢
Great video 👍❤️💛💚
Your videos calm my boys down a lot.
hey posty,
you look very professional! new helmet? I like it ! 👍
Another sucessful road trip! Great job Post! B Safe.....
your videos help me fall asleep. your sheer delight when your hard work starts to show brings me joy.
Really enjoy your videos.
I wonder if, the rare few times you’re looking for the culverts but can’t find them, if you left an inconspicuous marker to help.
For example, that one on the causeway had a guardrail. Perhaps some day-glo paint on the water side of the railing. Or if no railing a rock with a dot of paint where graters wouldn’t get it.
Or is the fun in the searching?
Looking forward to another fun season of uncloggings.
Chilling with this in the background is aways a joy :D
I loved the pop up before clip! Thanks for the quick comparison... a great idea!
Well post 10 I'm amazed how you know we're the culverts are the knowledge you have picked up like I said it's a good job they got you always keep safe all the best Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 😀 🇬🇧
Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪
Post 10. You are the best you keep us entertained all the time with your swamps. I enjoy your videos. I hope you have a great night. Hugs. Hugs❤
Just in time for my morning coffee- awesome!
Thank you ❤
I love your running commentary! All sorts of information including getting your butt wet and you don't miss a beat! Good job!
You know Post, you ought to report that first drain for the structure using the long old heavy sign posts because if someone goes into that guardrail I would hate if they were impaled by one of them or both. It's very dangerous for everyone.
Thanks for all you do! I enjoy all your videos! Be safe!
Your fan from New Jersey. I'm SOOOOOO happy to see you wearing gloves !! And yes I remember when you were the tadpole EMT. 😁😉. A terrific example of what a good guy you are. 👍🏻
Always such a pleasure to watch your videos my friend - I love your enthusiasm for nature and the great outdoors, pointing out observations that many of us would miss. Keep up the good work.
Good job post. Love watching 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love your videos so much! I wish we could be friends! You pass through my area from time to time. True Wholesome RUclips here ❤ you truly make culverts interesting, which to many people would be considered boring. This is meant as a huge compliment
Agreed. I never once thought I'd ever have such an interest in culverts in America as I'm a trucker in Europe and Scandinavia! I should show him some of the floods I come across, haha.
You're a really cool guy, post 10. Thank you so much for all you do.
Another great video today. Always look forward to them. Thanks 10!❤😊
Soon as I click open a new video I'm on that like button! Sweet more Post 10 doing what Post 10 does!
Thank You for another Video 😊 I Love Them 💞🙏🏽💞
Another great nature walk!
Love the video. I agree, white pines are great. If you’re ever in Michigan I recommend a visit to Hartwick Pines State Park - one of the last stands of virgin white pine. Majestic! You’d probably like the logging museum there as well.
You're the best! I'm so glad they gave you a job.
@@deannawheeler4362 Somebody gave him a job but I'm not sure where.
Fun to revisit some of these sites..
I so enjoy watching your videos, I love how passionate you are about what you do.
I am on repeat now, Post. It is another great video with some education too. You actually went swimming (seems cold even for you) or was it just rinsing off your high boots?
Just rinsing off my boots and a few mud stains on my shirt
The occasional "before" clip is a nice touch
Hi post, have you ever thought about uploading a community post of where you are at the present time for a “sneak peak” sort of speak for where you’re currently at or what your un blocking or doing? I think a lot of us would enjoy something like that. Always enjoy the videos. Safe travels and be safe out there.
You're a true Horsefighter!❤
Massachusetts also has significantly stricter car inspection requirements than New Hampshire. Maybe the cars are less likely crash into the guard rails in MA than in NH. In my years living in New England, I saw more rust buckets driving around NH and VT than in MA. BTW, as somebody who lived near a pond used for firefighting (in CT), I was not bothered one little bit if the pond was high. The houses near our pond were never in danger of being flooded in the 10 years I lived there. What is neglect to you was a non-issue to me. Just my two cents.
Massachusetts drivers are the worst, I can't go a day without almost getting hit in that state and it never happens in the northern states, even when I traveled across the country nobody beats Massachusetts when it comes to bad drivers it appears, I don't know about New Hampshire but it depends, I know Massachusetts is more lenient to letting your car pass inspection with lots of rust, the safety inspection is more strict up north but Massachusetts the emissions I think I'm more strict but I could be totally wrong
@@post.10 I'd say Massachusetts roads are paved cow paths with significantly more drivers making the Mass driving experience horrible. NH and VT don't have anywhere need the auto density on the roads that MA has. Put that density of drivers on the northern neighbors and you would hate driving up there too. when I worked on the Boston north shore, my colleagues who relocated to NH would talk about how much easier it was to pass an inspection in NH. Of course, emission restrictions are going to be stricter in MA because of the aforementioned driver density and the Clean Air Act and related requirements. we may just have to agree to disagree. Keep up your good work.
Great video ! I like the 30 minute videos too over the longer ones.
Great stuff. Many thanks.
I did see that frog jump. Thanks for the video drop!
LOVE THE MERCH! Squirrel is my favorite 😍
The before camera is a really nice addition!
Your videos are so enjoyable. I listen/watch them all day while I work online. I was just starting this video when I decided to ask Apprentice Bard if it knew of you. It did. Even AI chatbots know Post 10.
How did I miss this video? Never mind I’m watching it now.
"Why did the beaver cross the road?"
"To get to the other swamp."
its a great that you take so much of your time to do all the work that you do to help people out you have a great channel
This man is doing the work of the entire Massachusetts DOT by himself
Do you consider the downstream affects of clearing a culvert? If the next culvert downstream is also plugged, you might just be moving the flood to the next road crossing downstream. Have you ever slowly worked your way upstream, checking and clearing culverts to make sure they all flow smoothly, before tackling the big one that releases the most water?
If we are working in a city and there is a road right down the stream we will give it a check but if the next culvert pipe is multiple miles the giant surge of water will not get there as much as it's being released because it will be retained by natural elements especially Beaver ponds, in this situation as you see me releasing all the debris through the pipe on its natural flow it will get stuck in the Beaver Pond across the road and not go anywhere else.
Love your video`s and the passion you have for your work. Your english sometimes is brutal but it happens. Never heard the word sanken !! lol
5:47 I love the before and after shot at the same time! Way easier to compare the two!
In nova scotia we all have a law that we have to remove studded tires on April 30th
It's amazing to me, just how colorful a swamp can be. 🌲
love the gloves , brilliant video post .
take on off! :D
awesome vid! very satisfying to watch as always.
That type of guardrail was rated as deadly in the MID NINETIES! If interested look into Steve the Guard Rail Guy
Hey Post! 👋 hope you're well. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures for all these years
P.s. have you ever downloaded the merlin bird app?? It'll listen and identify birds around you
No I have never tried it, does it actually work well with other noise like traffic mixed in?

Poor turtle, I'm glad I didn't see it. Snazzy gloves Postie, that was a great flow out of both pipes. Bugs are out here in Canada too. Pests. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loving the new helmet.where has ghost 10 gone?
Good morning post!
Loving the new gear! Hopefully soon a helmet cam or body cam for those POV shots.
I assume you have a lot of experience with ticks, can you recommend a good product? Tics scare the absolute crap out of me. Or the diseases they carry to be precise.
Thankfully supposedly the tick has to be attached to you for over 24 hours to transmit Lyme disease so make sure you check yourself every night if you've been in an area that has them. I use Permethrin spray in the large yellow bottle for my clothing from Walmart and it has absolutely no odor so I like it compared to the high deep stuff which stinks and burns your eyes if you touch but that stuff is also very effective the 40% Deet Walmart brand stuff, works just as good as Deep Woods Off the name brand but cheaper
I had tons of ticks this spring but then the turkeys came through and ate them all but I haven't seen the turkeys in a few weeks and the ticks are all exploding again I have to check myself everytime I come in because they just crawl on my shoes
Hope your Massachusetts subscribers report this disgrace to whatever department is responsible
Why did the beaver cross the road? To get to the other swamp!😆
Good looking young man
I’m sitting here in the Yakima Washington Indian reservation taking a break from driving watching your video 😊😊
Check for ticks, then when done with that completely check for ticks again
I once saw a Mustang of all things in Sanford Maine in the middle of summer driving with studded snow tires. I wouldn't worry about it honestly.
1:42/12:06 -> DOT is definitely responding the summer heat fractures in the road...filling 'em in with good ol' tar.
5:19 -> post 10 Safety First! ....has all the proper gear...
LAPLAND is suffering from the worst floods in decades.
Risto Tolonen, the on-duty fire chief of the Lapland Rescue Service, says that from the rescue service's point of view, Tornio river is currently the most important.
The water is high in Tornio river, especially south of Pello.
According to Tolonen, the rescue service has had several flood-related damage control tasks on Saturday and the night before Sunday.
- The properties have been in danger of getting wet, the water could have risen up to a foot.
