Ideas: Before opening up a clog, shove a measuring stick in the high water to see how much the water height is. you then can see accurately how far down the level changes. Also, there are ways to measure the flow . Wouldn't it be cool to see how many gallons of improved flow you create?

You can measure how fast the water is going pretty easy. How much is flowing through at the start vs the beginning is kinda hard to calculate because you need the area the water is flowing through in order to do it corectly. Thats not easy to measure. In this video you could take the end of the culvert to do so but thats not alwas available.

I am lucky to have a 12 inch galvanized culvert running through my backyard along with an old brick basin/ditch. The system is from 1964 and it is probably in need of replacing it. I thought it was always kind of rough around the edges, but compared to the ones in some of your older videos, I realize that there must be so many other drains out there that are waiting to be maintained. Even your camera angles are art. Love the sound of the rushing water.

I don't know if you're still in Pennsylvania, but visiting the Johnstown Flood Museum could be really cool! I went there just the other day. I couldn't do much because it started to snow a lot, but it was a lot of fun! My recommendation :)

One of your best videos yet. I really love the fact that you set up two different cameras one at each end of the culvert. I think this is something that you should continue doing in your future videos if you can. Really love content. Definitely doing honorable work.

I think you should consider making a few tools for the purpose of unclogging culverts. Something involving a lever would help lift up big packed clogs quickly for easier dismantling. One or two hooks on steel shafts with pull handles would also help. I'm sure you can design something to improve on the rake :-)

@@captainnerd6452 Well, Post is a clever guy so I'm sure he could come up with one or two things to aid productivity. The rake while useful is not very efficient on large clogs.

Fortunately, the beavers aren't clever enough to block the culvert ten feet in, out of the reach of your rake!
