This could be the biggest protest in North American history come Friday. This is only Monday and look at how much money they've raised and how many trucks and people are involved. There could be over a million people stuffing into Ottawa with a hundred thousand trucks flooding the city. Trudeau has awoken something that's been just waiting to arise for two years now. It's called the common sense majority. The sham is up. This was about big pharma greed and the reflection that it had on our governments imposing these lockdowns (that go against the Nuremberg code, btw) for political and financial gain. Trudeau and the liberals have to go. What they represent is not what the vast majority of Canadians represent. I have honestly not felt pride of being Canadian since I was a young lad playing hockey. This convoy has reinvigorated that sense of pride
This song reminds me of my days as a trucker, although I didn’t appreciate it then they were the best days of my life. I LOVED being a trucker and my heart still swells with pride that I was a trucker. I remember the great days with Horse, Linda Martin, Louis Walsh, speedy Gonzales and HowDo all in a big convoy with all our trucks lighting the roads of the USA up 🇺🇸🇺🇸 THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
Here to pay my respects to Mr. Kris Kristofferson who passed away at the age of 88 today 9/29/2024. He starred in many movies and always turned in stellar performances. But he will always be "The Rubber Duck" from the movie Convoy to me. R.I.P my friend 🙏🙏🙏
indeed. The song is about civil disobedience (without burning down buildings or attacking people, BTW) and it inspired the 1978 movie, "Convoy", with Kris Kristofferson and Ali McGraw, which was also about freedom from government overreach. CB radio was at its height of popularity in 1978.
A song about a cop who was after truckers because they were truckers. Nothing about vaccines which protect us all. Also notice the movie had African Americans who were against oppression by the police as well. The truckers protesting today are tyrants because they are costing people jobs and money and impeding progress.
@@hiphopunike14 The 1975 song is simple civil disobedience: "I says, "Pig Pen, this here's the Rubber Duck, we just ain't a-gonna pay no toll", So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight, I says "Let them truckers roll, 10-4" much like today. And please drop the race-baiting.
I have had uncles and cousins that drove trucks, my brother, and my best friend are also truck drivers. MAD respect for them and the job they do, not just now, but EVERY day!

I'm surprised I haven't seen a full session of players either In a truck convoy police cars and one police heli to record it all.
I was playing darts at the bar in the desert when this came on the jukebox. Talk about random
Me too, i'm here only for gta 5, i liked this song so much

The version in GTA is the original version before the movie came out. This is the version C. W. McCall wrote for the movie.

RIP Rubber Duck 😪🦆Love that opening scene with the Rubber Duck coming over the hill in the salt hills with the drumbeats. Should have been a Convoy 2 - The Ducks Revenge.

R.i.P. Uncle Dave, here I am driving into the Veterans Cemetary, ready for your funeral and this song comes on. You were a great man, hard working trucker and thanks for making me your lumper on those trips during my high school summers.
I remember as a kid watching this movie over and over again 📺
Farewell C.W McCall and thanks for all the memories.
😭😭
Thought he was already dead when my dad showed me this song 20 years ago. Damn, RIP Mr. Mcall.
I stumbled across this when I was searching for trucking music for the background of my snowrunner session. Absolutely glorious. R.I.P C.W McCall
God bless all the truckers of the world, one of the most important jobs in the world!
RIP C.W. McCall. Passed away today (4/1/2022) from cancer.
Oh the irony. He lived a long life and left a legendary legacy and died on April Fool's day to cap it all of. Bless his heart.
he did not die he just drove away

I guess he took the shot then. :/

I was an 88 mike for the us army that's a truck driver and we convoyed all the way to Seattle Washington and just looking at rigs of every make model and size gave me tears in my eyes i love trucks they should block the highway on 95 for miles and have a good old fashioned convoy and let them truckers roll.

I'm 27 years old and I'm French...
I listen and watch this movie since I was kid... it's one of the things gave me the desire to be truck driver... I drive trucks since my 18, but in France, it's not the same... truckers is not a family anymore... 😔 I try to keep the reel value and the respect from old truckers but in vain...
My biggest Dream is to drive these trucks on these american roads... the american Dream 🥰
God bless America, and God bless Truckers 🤝🏻🤠
We’d be happy to have you, Nicolas. Get that Visa submitted and come join us!

Hopefully it wil change here in europe and that we stand united one day against the tyranie what divide us al for so many years.
They know exactly what they did 20 years ago they destroyd healthy transport and declassefied it and we blamed eachother.
Cw Mcall was responsible for selling a extra million cb radios in the 70's
Ed Newman OutDoors
As kids in the 70s we would sneak into the garage at night to talk to to each other on our dads’ car CB radios.
Never even occurred to us to actually take the car out for a joy ride!
And thousands of base stations that would walk all over drivers in the channel. Kids.
Kimberly M Yup...just stepping on everyone!!
More like 2 million
Newman OutDoors , that’s true. We bought one too , just for fun. Probably our first cell phone.😊
We are asking for prayers and to request every radio station to play this song . To keep giving you truckers support. Here in America 🇺🇸
Played the shit out of this during Covid.
Here's to the tens of thousands of trucks that are forming the convoy onwards to Ottawa! Godspeed boys #convoytoottawa2022
Just saw a report saying 50,000 trucks and over 500,000 people… that’s some pretty crazy shit!

Ya Hoo❤ Great White North!
Already made the Guiness Book of Records, and it's just reaching the centre of Canada.
Glad to hear this again with the Canadian Freedom Convoy.
I haven't been watching the news. What's up in Canada? Posting from the USA.
@@christinaburke2461 like 10000 or more truckers are convoyin to Ottawa to protest Vaccine mandates.

R.I.P Kris Kristofferson , you have one last trip. Thanks for the memories.
This song reminds me of my days as a trucker, although I didn’t appreciate it then they were the best days of my life. I LOVED being a trucker and my heart still swells with pride that I was a trucker. I remember the great days with Horse, Linda Martin, Louis Walsh, speedy Gonzales and HowDo all in a big convoy with all our trucks lighting the roads of the USA up 🇺🇸🇺🇸 THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
Probably not the best country, you got school shooters
wouldnt say best country in the world, but it does have its good points
@@lepain0278blow it out your ass.
Here to pay my respects to Mr. Kris Kristofferson who passed away at the age of 88 today 9/29/2024. He starred in many movies and always turned in stellar performances. But he will always be "The Rubber Duck" from the movie Convoy to me. R.I.P my friend 🙏🙏🙏
yup me too always RD
Same, love that movie.
This has always been a song about freedom against tyranny. Keep on truckin'!
@@zoso73 3 another movie in 1978 is Superman (Richard Donner), Midnight Express (Alan Parker) & Apocalypse Now (Francis Ford Coppola)

There should be an Easter egg in GTA 5 where if you drive the truck from the music video while playing the song on the radio, you can make the truck fly
When you had that mission where you steal that truck that’s being escorted by the military this was playing when i was driving and i laughed so hard that i would just sing along to it

HAHA. LOL. I was thinking the same thing. STRAIGHT to youtube to check it out! And pull up the lyrics! So fitting eh? :)
I seriously think this is one of the best movies in existence. I've seen it a million times and it never gets old. Just the song alone makes trucking even more fun.
My grandfather loved songs like this, and this and Mississippi Squirrel Revival were some of his favorites. There's something about those two songs, it's almost like I can feel him with me, like he never left.
Rest in peace, grandpa.
Very very proud to say I was one of the crew headed to Ottawa. Joined the convoy in MB and what a blast!!
