These episodes dont slow down! Chills when Ed gets his arm back after Al’s sacrifice 🔥 We’ve finished the series over on Patreon for anyone interested in getting ahead! www.patreon.com/carlie_and_ange
I do hope that you watched the ending credits of the last episode. It tells you what sort of ending and future each character has. Great reaction tho can't wait to see more!
Ed doesn’t have his leg back, he exchanged his arm to get Al’s soul, Al simply “refunded” the payment. Ed’s leg was already lost from transmuting his mom.
I was laughing so fiercely))). Both his theory, and her reaction - a bit delayed, so quiet, almost whispering in disbelief "Angelloooooou!...", and his back-reaction. Love it!
It's crazy if you think about how this anime can make you change your opinion on a character. For you to call Hoenheim your #1 after his introduction. It's masterful writing. Just everything, it's so good.
You just gotta love Armstrong. Man went from running away from war because it was wrong, to fist-fighting a godlike being because it's right. Meanwhile, Father went from holding the power of the sun in the palm of his hand, to getting his ass beaten by a teenager in just 2 episodes.
Father: "I assure you (Greed), what you desire I desired FIRST!" Here we come to notice what Fathers personality is from his fragments, his children Homunculus. At least part of Father wanted to have friends, but due to his willingness to sacrifice anything to complete his wish to be perfect he left out all that made him almost human.
Agreed - you could see it a bit in the flashbacks with Hohenheim, where the latter talks about having a family and friends. The Dwarf in the Flask dismisses it at first. But then later on creates his own "family". He's always wanted it. You could also see a bit of the personality when he meets Ed for the first time. He had eaten Greed earlier and still had him inside of him. The way he acted with a level of interest in Ed was very different than later on when he is more stoic.
@@aagraff603 I also think that Father's Pride is what ultimately cost him this battle. He never thought mere humans as a threat so he never learned to fight without his powers. That's how Ed was able to go toe-to-toe with Father and lay the beatdown.
Of course, that's why he took the form of Hohenheim, he could've been anyone. They were both trapped, one of them in chains, and other one in the flask. They freed each other and made each other human in a way so Father has felt human emotion. I think that's why he separated the parts of himself in the first place.
I LOVE Ed's line at the end - "Get up you novice, I'm about to show you how outclassed you really are!" Ed's out here calling a literal God a novice. It sums up his character perfectly.
Maybe this comment is going to get lost somewhere but I just love, every single time, the parallels of this episode with the first ones. Al's lines are similar to the ones that Ed said when he lost him or the last lines that Ed gives in the episode, which are exactly the same as the ones he told father Cornello in ep 3. All of this showing a principle of the series: To make alchemy, there must be a circle and the series, at the end, comes full circle.
The moment Al begins talking about sacrificing himself onward always gets me, no matter how many times I see it. When this anime wants to hit you in the feels, it doesn't hold back.
Greed can be perceived as the desire to *possess or own* things, but friends aren't something that you own, they are relationships that you need to build and choose each other.
This is why Al is my favorite character... he's the most selfless character in the series. In this arc alone the boy has given up his chance to get his body back when, for all he knew, it could be his last chance just so he could fight. Which when you think of Al he fights to PROTECT those he cares about(sometimes even people he barely knows or owes nothing to), but because of that decision he's able to save May. Then when the metal body can't fight anymore he gives that up without a second thought so his brother can get his arm back, because he has faith that Ed can beat Father and come back for him.
No no no, Ed did not get his Leg back in this episode. When Ed & Al did the Human Transmutation, Ed's Left leg and Al's whole body was taken to the other side. To at least get back Al's soul and put it in that big armor, Ed has to sacrifies his Right Arm. So in this episode, Al did the reverse and Ed was only able to get back his Right Arm. :)
Fun fact - the original line Ed says at the end of the episode has him call father a “ third rate fraud”, which is the same thing he called father cornello back at the very start of the series. He even boasts that he’s outclassed, the same words he used at the start of the series. Bookends man
I was thinking about where the hell all the screws went lol imagine Al does all that an in the end Ed still can't use his arm because it grew with Automail pieces inside.
Every character is freakin' fantastic. I would easily watch spin-off shows of any character. But an Izumi prequel, Olivier prequel or sequel, or Scar sequel spin-off would be *chef's kiss*
the line reads of nearly everything in these last episodes are so damn perfect, hearing Ed scream about how Al is being stupid is just is just OH damn perfect!
When Ed threw the spear the first time i saw i genuinely couldn't believe my eyes what was happening. Glad you guys are loving this arc. P.s Glad you both like Greedling hes one of my favorite anime characters
2 episodes left and our journey ends... I cant believe we're at this point now. Im really happy i followed you guys, loved your reactions all around. Really looking forward to you guys reacting to the end of it all
To be intrigued by greed. Is to be intrigued with father. Or at least the dwarf in flask. Because the 7 sins are father. Too make himself a so called perfect being. He removed his sins from his core. So really the only way we get to understand the dwarf in the flask is by seeing his children, his 7 sins. Greeds emptiness that cannot be filled by money power or status. But his behaviour about losing his possessions in dublith, or his friends. Deep down its fathers want.
12:15 Ed only got his arm back, his leg was sacrificed in their original attempt to bring back their mother and he sacrificed his right arm to bind his brothers soul to the armor.
Excited to see what you guys think of the ending and sad to see the end of the guitar covers for these OPs. This is one of those shows that I never skip the OP/ED even after a dozen rewatches
Hey guys love your reactions. And your couple dynamic is sweet as hell. If you guys want to get into something really good I’d recommend anime’s like berserk or overlord. Multiple movies and seasons for berserk and like 5 seasons of overlord should give you guys plenty of content.
Y'all need to pay attention to everyone's gate. If you notice everyone's gate of truth and changes Everytime it is shown which reflects the knowledge they geined
Hi Carlie and Ange, are you two ever considering covering Code Geass ? It's absolutely my favorite anime and have been following 2 other channels covering it.
Here's the thing though. Every one of the homunculi are the symbols of Father's sins as a human. So Greed wanted friends only after Father wanted them. So in way, it makes me feel pitiful towards Father for rejecting his own humanity. What kind of person would he be today if he lived like a ordinary person? How disgraceful.
Hohenheim and Al always have been and always will be the top 2 characters of the series, at the very least on the hero side. There's really no arguing that if you understand them and have taste. And that's really a feat amongst the abundance of amazing characters this show has given us! I don't think you'll find any show with this many complete and incredible characters in that short amount of content. Absolutely mindboggling, and rightfully why FMA is generally considered to be amongst the top 3 stories in terms of writing, only really behind behemoths like HunterXHunter that transcend the entire genre. And the anime does so well at enhancing the experience - the visuals, the voice acting (hell, it's one of the very few english dubs that's actually very good; maybe it's actually the only one with that kind of quality, because usually the difference between sub and dub is pretty large), the music, my god, the music! And there's one thing FMA has over all of those amazing, ongoing behemoths - and ending. Endings are ridiculously hard (even moreso with longer, broader stories), even for the most gifted writers. And FMA has nailed it in every aspect. I've never seen a single person disappointed with the ending from a quality perspective.
Ayt! Hear me out Carlie and Ange...what if...since Roy is in disability now...maybe Olivier is the next Fuhrer candidate? Hence that scene with Bradley?

Code Geass PLS!!
I do hope that you watched the ending credits of the last episode. It tells you what sort of ending and future each character has. Great reaction tho can't wait to see more!
Notice how the arm Ed got back was skinnier and less muscles than his other one, and has long nails. I love the detail in this show.
Ed doesn’t have his leg back, he exchanged his arm to get Al’s soul, Al simply “refunded” the payment. Ed’s leg was already lost from transmuting his mom.
Refund.
I'm sorry, but Carlie's face when Ange says to "produce a volunteer". 😂😂😂
He's on that Goblin Slayer shit.
I was laughing so fiercely))).

The moment Al sacrifices himself, Ed absolutely stops holding back and I feel like many people who have younger siblings get it.

that was so cute i cant
I LOVE Ed's line at the end - "Get up you novice, I'm about to show you how outclassed you really are!"
Ed's out here calling a literal God a novice. It sums up his character perfectly.
and also that line. was the very first line he also said when he defeated the fake priest at Lior on episode 2
It's Edwardin' time!!
It does truly fit cuz the Dwarf never really learned much anyway.
psh, a god? He's just a dwarf in a flask
Fmab’s ending has disappointed no one, ever!
I can comfortably say if they're disappointed they're a fool
The only disappointing thing about FMAB's ending is that there are no more episodes.
@@ryanakers1372 that Fini was the most heart braking thing since Hughes Death
The only thing I wish was the extra ova after the ending of what happens with Al's armour at the end,it very sweetly ties that part of the story
yeah~

I won't ever get tired of praising Al. He's by far the most altruistic character in the series.
Alphonse Elric: Best Boy
Greed can be perceived as the desire to *possess or own* things, but friends aren't something that you own, they are relationships that you need to build and choose each other.
I'll never not tear up a little when there is this shot of Al's hands pointing towards the sky... This is some good shit.

my favorite line in the show ❤ what an episode !!

Among all the animés I watched, the FMAB ending is the most satisfying one! It is just so satisfying, everything in it is outstanding.
Man, I can't watch the cheering scene without thinking of the bloopers
I swear they better watch the bloopers lol we already had LM Reactions Patreon supporters convince them not to watch them, which I have no clue why…
This anime is the GOAT for a reason. Unlike many series this ending doesn't disappoint.
Bro, sudden Number 1 remix was played. I was completely thrown off. Like where am I hearing Bleach music from lmao. Nice. Respect for Number 1.
Lmao its our editor Filip 😆

Greed acceptance of what he really wanted always bring tears to my eyes. Only thing that he really wanted he can’t simply buy
This is the only time in the entire show we see Edward going for the kill, and you realize, he's been holding back the whole time.
Shout out to the nameless Brigg's soldier who didn't even hesitate to shoot the Big Bad of the show right in the head to save Ed and Izumi.
"Get up you novice" is my favorite line in any show. It's a callback, and such a poignant phrase in so many ways.
I cried when his arm came back 😭😩
