I’ve owned this car since April and honestly the lack of physical buttons is not an issue (for me and my wife at least)
Your review is spot on and reflects all my own thoughts and experiences. I’m so glad I went for the manual, it’s so much fun, especially getting the pops and bangs (I’m a big kid 😃) which the auto doesn’t have. It also makes a b road fun more engaging.
I have Added the mountune m330 on to mine which takes it to the next level and maxes out it’s potential imo.
It’s a great car and given the current climate in the car market I think I’ll be forced to keep long term and that’s ok, because I honestly can’t see anything on the horizon that will be worthy direct replacement.
Great review, you’ve gained another subscriber.

I have the mark 4.25, 21 plate. You get the digital dash, but keep Recaro seats, the smaller screen & physical buttons, I got it with less than 6k miles. I chose it over a mark 4.5 for those reasons, the mk 4.25 spec was better for me.

Thanks for the video. I don't have the ST model but have just recently purchased a new Mk 4.5 Titanium 7 speed auto mild hybrid. This combination really works well together, but fully appreciate what you are saying, and that a manual gearbox would have been a better choice for the ST.
I personally have no problem at all with the physical controls (or most of them) now being amalgamated into the sync 4. The cabin looks really neat and uncluttered, simplicity in its best form. Once you've learnt all what the sync 4 does you pretty much then just leave it alone. Its not like you're constantly having to change the temperature settings for example. Its an excellent system and an excellent car whatever the model you go for. Thanks again for your review.

Nice short intro to the mk4.5 Mark. You got it all so spot on. I just have to say I am so sorry for you, being given the auto and as you state that absurd touch screen nonsense. I run a 2020 analogue fully loaded orange fury Mk4 manual I ordered dec 2019 prior to covid then I had to wait six months for everyone to come out of lock down to take delivery. I would have to be paid to swap mine for the car you review here. I went on to put a cold air filter and the Mountune M330 map on mine.

I have the 2020 version absolutely love it. Not a fan of the facelift prefer the headlights on my car look nicer and more aggressive look also have many buttons in cabin to press 😊

The physical button issue is becoming more and more of a problem. The buttons need to make a comeback. Great video as always.

Utterly agree. I got an analogue MK4. I would love for the music buttons to skip to the next track etc to be on the steering wheel, if I had to touchscreen I would either: a) crash my car or b) swear A LOT.

I think the thing that sold it for me is the car going where you steer it , I get sick of going out in my car and ending up where I don’t want to go .

a bit less body height and this car would have been insane in looks and performance thanks to those huge track and wheelbase.

So glad I recently went for a 70 plate ST Line X Edition. Don't get me wrong. I would love a screen like that, but yeah we need the buttons ;)

The vmax is probs lower for the auto than the manual as the auto is majorly flawed compared to the manual. Althougth the auto is quicker 0-60, ford screwed up the ratios for the auto. Vmax manual is around 164mph as one was taken to there on an autobahn by a dutch car vlogger here at YT.

We hear this a lot. It's a shame the US market didn't get it, sounds like they could have sold some cars over there.
