And for someone who is afraid to say "bad words," he sure does spew a lot of things that are ACTUALLY cruel and vicious. Wow, what a squeaky-clean saint. 🙄
Oh, don't beat yourself up over it tbh. Ineffective people get into relationships with other ineffective people all the time. I'd say about 80% of people are like this since there's no focus on dialectics or self-validation or actually processing emotions and taking accountability when we're brought up as kids and many adults just don't learn it.
I 1000% guarantee this guy views himself as a “nice guy” and when she inevitably leaves him he’ll complain that good guys finish last or some dumb bs like that
If you think about the situation with any form of rigor you realize that she's been with someone who behaves like that for over 7 months. Maybe she DOES have issues if she kept him around that long, don't you think? Having an extended braindead conversation over text with someone who can't form coherent messages.
@@skorpers Oh yes, i have thought about that. But many times this shit doesn't happen overnight or it needs a trigger lol. It could also be the person just wanted to really give a second or third chance or whatever. I actually cannot believe you unironically tried to loop the blame into the woman regardless of what happened lol
I believe that, even when you're mad, you should never try to actually "hurt" your significant other during an argument. There's a difference between being mad at a situation and hating your partner. You can't take words back
If you knowingly hurt your partner, you deserve to be single. It’s fine to fight, it happens sometimes, but going for something to truly hurt them just shows you’re a bad person tbh
exactly like what the hell. if you wouldn't do it to your friends you ESPECIALLY shouldn't do it to your partner. theyre supposed to be your BEST friend
@@Knifedog212 tbf many people try to hurt others when they feel they themselves are being hurt, so I don't think it makes you an awful person for hurting your partner to growing enough maturity to recognize that is wrong. Like saying stuff like "fuck you", is obviously you trying to hurt your partner (btw not talking about her, she said that after he was hurting her) but I don't thing you are the worst for doing that as, even though it sounds cruel you probably have done it, I have done it, a lot of people have done it. And it comes from us feeling hurt as well. However, what this guy did was honestly a step beyond that. I don't think he is unforgivable but he surely needs to straighten up
@@magmamaze69Any time someone uses something personal against you is an immediate dealbreaker, which "no wonder your friends and exs left you" definetly falls under, even "f you" is really, really bad and if youre put in a situation to want to say that more than like a handful of times in your lifelong relationship, then thats probably not one that should exist
Hot take: this has little to do with drugs. He randomly brought up her friends and ex twice. He's extremely insecure and jealous, and for whatever reason associates her social circle with drugs. This is his way of shaming her into social isolation. Even if it's subconscious, that's exactly what he's trying to achieve - keeping her all to his grubby little self.
I could never NEVER talk to my girlfriend like this. It just astonishes me that someone could flip out this much over something minor like this. My gf is recovering from addictions as well as depression and never in a million years would i stoop so low to aay "thats why your friends and exes left you" smh not everybody deserves a relationship
It was bad enough seeing him say it'll "be funny when she's six feet under," but then she replied with "Oh boy here we go again." I can't imagine seeing a more depressing response than that. Hopefully she can find someone who treats her better after this.
@spozznik9246 that didn't originate from gta and it definitely isn't being used in that context whenever it's said lol I doubt that even crossed her mind.
He wasn’t threatening her. He was talking about the drugs and her response was probably he gave her some long speech about drugs do to you in previous “call”. She doesn’t seem to be scared of him in that way based on these texts.
Fun fact: sending the speech to text messages will automatically censor your curse words in most cases so it's highly likely that he was using speech to text
Can't say I've ever used it before but not sure that'd be the case? Just there's different lengths of asterisks used by him so would have thought it'd either be the same each time or it would give the appropriate number relating to letters missing? Like the single message from 5:42 onwards has 3, 2 and 1 asterisks at different points which seems like an angry twat making mistakes with his self-censoring. As I say, never used it so could be wrong but seems more like his hands were malfunctioning as much as his brain to me.
i feel so bad for this girl, when you love someone it's so hard when they show their true, distilled, unfiltered cringe. like you realize that if you really were in trouble, they'd be all overwhelmed with their own emotions and they'd refuse to help you
& why does he keep telling her not to call him bro, when she didn’t call him bro lol Either we’re missing context or his reading comprehension is lacking, because that was really confusing me lol
His insulting her deeply (you have no friends, this is why exes left you. Your 1 step away from crackhead) every time he gets frustrated. He repeatedly tells her she’s worthless and unworthy of being loved. Then his apology consists of “that was awful to say”. Notice he does NOT say “those things aren’t true, I only said out of anger”. He only says that it was awful to say: Tells her only HE cares about her enough. He’s very insecure about this relationship, and thinks that “flaws” like her prior teen drug history and whatever else she revealed to him in vulnerability, are what make him worthy of somebody out of his league. The controlling behavior is only a sign of his insecurity and immaturity, but not the worst thing about him. He doesn’t respect her but he knows she’s too good for him. And only way to feel secure is putting her down and being the one who fixes her. Positioned himself as the arbiter of her worth . But even if she doesn’t articulate it, she can feel its icky and no way this lasts. Ironic thing is she probably recognizes the qualities that he tries to lord over her, but he’s too insecure and immature to stop throwing it in her face (and to stop throwing any of her past mistakes in her face). I’d be curious to see what these two look like.
I want to know how these guys can say this crazy ass shit and the conversation goes on as long as it does. How are they not dumped immediately? Lol how do they have a gf in the first place?
@@mattheweurt26 No kidding, man. I'm not sure how these nutballs land a date in the first place, let alone reach the "I love you" stage. You can't hide this kind of shit lol. He must have been attractive or something if she put up with it that long. All I can think of.
Well that's f*** unfortunate, cause it' pretty f*** hard to read a long a** sentence with all the f**** censored word lol sorry that was no good words sorry baby
You will. If you watch Charlie's series where he reads text messages like this and act the opposite of these people, you are already better then a huge part of people who want to date. It's insane how many people just don't know the very basics of a relationship.
His weird series of emotional segues from having countless meltdowns to "Btw how's your day?" makes me want to read his messages in Tommy Wiseau's voice.
Also why do people argue by texting each other Calling someone or meeting someone is the best approach to resolving conflicts I find texting harder and also you can't feel what they are saying
@@pbsuitei’ve seen you comment this under other comments 😭 in the post, OP said that they talked about it already over the phone but it didn’t go too well, and her bf brought it up on text. if you’re generally asking, then idk, people have different ways of preferred communication & not everyone feels about texting the way you do ig
The fact that Charlie doesn't realize that the censoring is due to his using voice text which in my opinion makes it funnier because he was actually yelling at his phone about this😂
Nah. For the first message where it's supposed to be censored, it has the appropriate amount of * 's. In the next main burst, fucking is f*** for the for first one and f** for the next three. After that, shit is s*, then back to f** for the next two "fucking"s followed by a f*** for the final fucking. That shit was definitely typed out. And then an uncensored retard shortly after. Completely inconsistent. That was typed out with human hands.
The vitriol against her friends is a red flag. Obviously nobody can get along with everyone, but a friend group is comprised of people that someone chooses to spend their time with and likely holds values in common. If he thinks her friends are stupid and not worthy of his respect, I'd assume that includes the parts of her that she shares in common with her friends
Yeah, but then there's some exceptions to the rule. Like how my gf had to log into her fb from her best friend's phone one time to contact me, because her phone was broken. You would think a friend in general would log out of their friend's fb, because thats an obvious invasion of privacy, right? This psycho decided to stalk our private messages for over 4 months That includes the sexual photos we've sent to each other. Obviously I didn't even need to say anything for her to cut that friend off.
She gave him so many chances to stop. But he just kept choosing to go down the path he did. 100% on him, I hope he gains a little perspective from what he's chosen to lose
Mans a narcissist. He wont ever learn anything sadly. Especially if he is 29 and acting like this. I stopped being that way at like 14 Edit: and I wasnt even bad like that. Hes worse, thats depressing.

@@thenuttednutter2669 I wouldn't be so quick to play the narcissist card. I don't condone the guy's behaviour, but it could be that he has some trauma regarding the subject. He was telling her to stop using colloquialisms and slang around him. His name is not "bro", "dude", or "babe". Whatever happened to feminine propriety? Now we have young women talking and dressing like boys!
Nahh, dude behaved like a weinerwat. I only ever use the words dude or bro with my partner when he really, really pissed me off during an argument. That's usually a sign that I'm hella over whatever we are arguing about. When Charlie read that part I felt like it was the same with this woman. this guy seems like a genuine danger to be around, legit bullying his girlfriend for even bringing up fucking mushrooms and snapping at her for calling him bro and constantly insisting he's not her friend like he's def controlling and probably even abusive at least mentally
Second part is not justified but tbf the first part could be in his eyes maybe his mom or dad was a huge drug addict and he refuses to live in a house like that again and he’s telling her straight up and to bring a convo up from the night before isn’t weird either man it’s his girlfriend so it’s a lot of emotions and to say you’ve not been pissed the next day still would be wrong everyone gets like this we have no idea who the guy is and what his life has been like

They were not as embarrassing as this one, but just as holier than thou, and they basically just want someone to do exactly as they say without question.
This whole encounter threw me back to when I dated a guy who would start fights over the dumbest things to show he had control. One night, we were out with friends, and I wanted to try a beer. I was young and had never had that particular brand. From across the room, he pointed at me and scolded me like a bad dog. I took the beer, drank some of it, and simply told him, "we're doing this outside." We fought for 45 minutes out in the parking lot about how disrespectful he was, and just because he didn't like beer, that didn't mean i wasn't allowed to drink it. Anyways, that relationship lasted a total of 9 months, and I left him when he showed signs that he would get physical with me. I'm glad this girl is leaving the dude in this text, too. This guy shows extreme signs of BPD. My ex had it and she could go hot/cold like that guy and it was wild to deal with. I read books on it, talked to medical professionals about it, spent over a 1000 hours in group therapy with people who had it. So I got to know quite a bit about it because the way I saw it was just because she has BPD doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve love. Problem is if the person with BPD isn’t willing to work on their behavior then there is nothing you can do… and that guy had so little self awareness that I can guarantee that he doesn’t think there is anything wrong with himself, and that’s scary to deal with!
This was cathartic for me to read because i had a "friend" who tried a VERY similar thing with me when i used the word "crack" in a sentence (i was saying some things might be fun in the moment but not worth it like crack). He said i triggered him and would NOT leave it alone, he was so persistent i was questioning my sanity and humanity by the end of the friendship. Also tried to guilt me for not being remotely interested in polyamory 😂 i learned a lot about manipulation from that friendship
Polyamory makes no sense lmfao.. I had a girl wig out with me after we met on a dating app, and 5 months down the road when were very serious, she brings up Polyamory might be something she's into, while the entire time I made it very clear I find it VERY dumb. I'm not jealous, but if I openly know somebody else is screwing my girl, yeah Im gonna get a wee bit jealous lmfao. Hence why I told her the same thing I'm telling you. She ended up blocking me, and making up some wild shit about me saying I made sexual advances on her the first date, when in reality she was the one who did that, and I declined, I couldn't make a move for a solid 1.5 months, because of how bashful I am when it comes to those things, and how actually important another person comfortability is to me.... People are so bizarre, and should be screened before signing up for dating apps
I've had this exact same situation with someone. And they were only a friend. Couldn't drop the conversation, couldn't let it be, started saying awful things and suddenly tries to apologise when it's too late. Worst part is when they said "I think I should get a partner." Stay the hell away from these kinds of people, they can fuck you up. I almost was.
Just remember, if you're single and you feel bad that this guy can get in a relationship and you can’t, it’s because this guy is so weird that he’s probably asked out most women he’s interacted with and if you do that long enough eventually some unlucky soul will say yes.
That's the 'wide net' strategy. There's pros and cons. On one hand I'm jealous of the confidence it must take but at least I'll never be in a Charlie video.
What we have here is what i've called a "punishment loop" it happends in many text to text relationships where one will proceed to barate the other person, lie to them, or victimize themselves first, then later blame the other person or make them feel responsible, before cooling off with a few apologies and repeating the same thing again with slightly different context. It is a massive problem that i've noticed going around and people use this strategy for clout, attention, bullying and emotional abuse. If anyone here notices this pattern you need to know that you don't have to deal with cycling problems like this, do not feel responsible for other people who will take advantage of your time over text.
Imagine how low the trust levels up in this relationship. There must so difficult to bring some serious topics, deep dilemmas up if that is the kind of reactions you are getting.
If it weren't for the fact this guy is 29 and I know my ex is 36, I would have thought this was him. 💀 I'd always end up trapped in these kinds of "discussions" with him. And no matter if I backed down and surrendered or kept fighting for my opinion, it still ended the same. With him insulting me and making me feel like shit. I hope this girl gets away from him soon. Block his ass and never speak to him again.

I just love when Charlie shows how much he is a down home guy when he says things like "Heavens to Betsy". The content is great, but he is also such a likable dude.
This one hits a little bit closer to home, I have a friend who was doing this same back and forth with me about a subject and I was ready to explode. It was just 30 minutes of me basically asked them to leave me alone or change the subject but they’d incessantly claim they’re just looking out for me when clearly it was an attempt to be holier-than-thou. We’re still friends but whenever they bring the subject up again I want to tear my eyelids out.
i hate people who do that, especially when they dont drop the subject and try to give advice when they dont even follow their own advice?? girl bye. Half the reason why i dont open up to anyone like that, they'll start having a savior complex, no one asked you to help, it goes a long way to just be there for that person.
I had a really bad drug problem before I met my current girlfriend and she was understanding and never judged me for it. She was always there when I went thru withdrawals. I’m now almost 4 years sober and I couldn’t have done it without her. This guy is an example of how to not treat an addict.
The whole "not your dude/bro/friend" was already weird when it comes from teenagers (I remember a friend telling me an ex of her said the same kind of things, we were 19 and even back then it felt childish and controlling). But a 29 yo man ?? Wtf. This dude is dangerous, and need therapy ASAP. There is no doubt he will ruin his life and the ones of everyone around him until he does get therapy. It will only get worse with time if he doesn't.

Yupp, sadly not. I wish I knew a good way to adress things like this with young men, mainly, so they don't become toxic creeps who see women as dirt. This is definitely unintentional
how she doesnt end this relationship immediately is mind boggling, why do people keep themselves in abusive relationships with such pathetic excuses for wastes of space
People keep going in a relationship like this cause they remember the good days. This guy certainly wasnt't like this 24/7, and she was in love, ignoring the red flags. This is why toxic relationships happen and are so difficult to get out. It's easy to say that people are desperate or have no self respect when you are watching from outside.
She had so much patience with the guy, even said she would talk to him first. I can tell this was a fresh relationship since she apparently did not know he was like this and STILL fought for their relationship and tried defusing the whole thing. But, homie just couldn’t stop nuking the relationship 😂
None of you kids know what your talking about. "Dph trip to meet the hatman" I've seen that video floating around. Still not watching it coz I known it's one of those drug videos specifically to freak out kids who know nothing about the chemistry or even what's truly unsafe.
Having gone through something similar, I hope she really does drop this guy. He's not worth it and she'll have a much better, stress-free life with him not around.
He's not really mad about the drugs. Hes mad that she wouldnt just relent and promise never to try them at all period. He wanted that control. He wanted her to change her mind at his behest and he wanted most of all to be right and feel superior. This is a precursor to an abusive relationship. Seen it SO many times. It starts like this. The guilt tripping about how you made them feel over your decision about YOUR body. The need to be right "for once" needing to feel superior. They keep revisiting the time they were "right" for that dopamine hit and then the pleasure of putting you down/ putting you in your place. Correcting how you talk to them when youre just speaking how you normally would... I know to some this may sound dramatic or blown out of proportion, but if youve been through it, you know.
I don't think all of them were the F slur. I think some were fucks, based on shit being s* this time around so the asterisk didn't represent the correct amount being censored

She's patient because the relationship is built upon lust. I was in a 12 year relationship. I bet if you could look back you would see that the women has had way worse freak outs. The difference? The man would never show this to the world.
I always love when Charlie talks about these bc I lurk the sub he pulls these from and there’s some crazies out there 😭 Makes me glad I’m happily engaged with someone emotionally mature and normal
He should change it up a little bit, and show some text messages where it's the woman being the shitty person in the relationship. There are plenty of them out there ... don't know why he always focuses on the ones where it's a dude.
Never use something someone share to you in total vulnerability as an offense. That is exactly what you do when you want to hurt someone as much as possible. I am sure the friend and ex leaving was a very hard event for her and the dude uses it anyway. He sucks, I hope he doesn't get even a spec of a chance for that.
And he also created an imaginary situation to star the abuse, she didn't even had problems with drugs to start with 😢 and I bet he hasn't tried any drugs but he claims to be a mentally super strong person... I have a BF who used to do that with alcohol and also tried to make feel bad about I drink (no addiction btw), but in the moment he took a drink, he started to drink regularly 🤷♀️

@isitoveryet9525 yeah looked like he had a whole mental breakdown
His insulting her deeply (you have no friends, this is why exes left you. Your 1 step away from crackhead) every time he gets frustrated. He repeatedly tells her she’s worthless and unworthy of being loved. Then his apology consists of “that was awful to say”. Notice he does NOT say “those things aren’t true, I only said out of anger”. He only says that it was awful to say:
Tells her only HE cares about her enough.
Have you tried filling in the censored swears? I'm 90% sure he's calling them the homophobic f slur
True, also a red flag of him possibly trying to isolate her from her friends, a common tactic used by abusers.
Conversely, if your partner hangs around cheaters/changes into a completely different person/puts you down around their friends...that's a dealbreaker

Is that at all related to the cycle of abuse?
Imagine how low the trust levels up in this relationship. There must so difficult to bring some serious topics, deep dilemmas up if that is the kind of reactions you are getting.
If it weren't for the fact this guy is 29 and I know my ex is 36, I would have thought this was him. 💀 I'd always end up trapped in these kinds of "discussions" with him. And no matter if I backed down and surrendered or kept fighting for my opinion, it still ended the same. With him insulting me and making me feel like shit.
I hope this girl gets away from him soon. Block his ass and never speak to him again.
i wouldnt blame him because arguing with people who dont back down on their argument is so annoying

Sounds like torture being friends with someone like that
i hate people who do that, especially when they dont drop the subject and try to give advice when they dont even follow their own advice?? girl bye.
He was definitely using speech to text to send those, which is somehow ever worse because what you're reading is just his unfiltered and unedited stream of thoughts- and they're completely unhinged.
i thought it could be translated to english because some of the texts were bolded and it would explain the weird language

Writing this guy off as a "weirdo" is dangerous imo. He's clearly abusive and it's not a silly little gaff.

Yea, same here, been with mine for two years and I just could never imagine talking to her like this. It's just...wtf. I could never imagine thinking that I control her or something, like she is somehow beneath me.
I genuinely don't understand how people can look at their partner that way.
As a woman, I completely agree, and always love seeing men talk about their girlfriends with such love and respect.
- Sadly not always the case.
Yupp, sadly not. I wish I knew a good way to adress things like this with young men, mainly, so they don't become toxic creeps who see women as dirt. how she doesnt end this relationship immediately is mind boggling, why do people keep themselves in abusive relationships with such pathetic excuses for wastes of space

Holy shit these bots
Eh some people have no self respect or their situation is grim or grave so they have to stick around, it's sad but sadly it happens
Because they’re scared to leave? who knows what their abuser will do if they leave.

Charlie not being able to tell the guy was censoring his F slurs brings me a type of pride and joy I can't quite explain.

@@treeofrage7622 he was talking about her “f slur friends” and “f slur ex”. The shortened 3 letter one
