- Return to Lane Merwin for revenge on the kokanee. It has been a tough year and although this day was still a bit rough, we could have scratched out a limit if we stayed a bit longer. We had plenty of opportunities but missed probably 15-20 takedowns and. drive by’s and plenty got off on the way to the boat.
we were using deadly venom tasmanian plugs, paulina peak spinners and mysis bug, i used a custom made simple lure single green chartreuse spin n glow, and an assortment of other lures one of which was a custom made brown dog spinner which are USA made for n Washington. Great video. Was just out there yesterday and got 7 fish. Very slow. Worth it anyway because it’s just beautiful out there.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed. It is beautiful, some days are rough and some are on fire
I noticed your Merc trolling motor was puffing steam.. usually means a plugged water exhuast line. Sometimes bugs get in there and plug the line or just slime algae , blow it out before you over heat the engine. Been there done that. Good fishing just to be out there and alive.
thanks it’s a buddies boat
i’ll let him know
PS change the impeller , you can buy a kit for it before you screw up that engine.
Nice job! How deep were you fishing? I was there last week solo and did ok but also missed a ton of fish somehow.
we started out on top, no weight and back 150-175 on the line counter. I was using my buddies pink Tasmanian plug and it was the main producer right off the bat until midway into sun up. I changed to a small green presentation and started getting lit up
was dropping 2oz at 55-75’
later we threw 1oz on the back today and went back 125-165 and caught a few
i would estimate the target depth was between 20-25 in the water column
also running the down rigger at 30 on the wire and that produced the bigger fish one was 14”
@@360Angling-Outdoors Right on, thanks! I bet it will be busy up there this weekend.
@@ag8782 it could be a good weekend to go because a lot of anglers are going to be going to the tributary's for spring or fishing because they're going to close a Columbia on Friday for Springer fishing
make sure to watch to the end for filet
