Guys im telling you.. Im studying as a waiter, i have done 2 years, 1 year to go. The job as a waiter is not easy as somebody may think. Imagine the pressure when you're alone serving about 30 customers at a time.. I have served where i live on popular events where there were ministers from all over the world, imagine the pressure serving them and you have still to stay calm. :) DONT DISS THE WAITER/RESS,they are making you happy and serving food to you eventually if you ever go to a restaurant

Good Lord. The manager gave these young lads only one day to wait on these tables. Jesus. I would have cried. LOL

If you feel like you might spill boiling hot tea and coffee - you don’t “try” just for trying’s sake - you could spill hot liquid on someone - nope. Serving the tea and coffee separately is fine. Jake was harsh on Barney

Ah, British class. If this was in 'MURRIKA there'd be dramatic reality-TV-style music, crying, shouting, swearing and family issues.

It's fine for first time.. it's part of a job, sometimes even me also make mistakes. It is really difficult to balance that wine glass. Just keep more practicing in balancing a tray with a wine glass.

I adore great service. It's as important as the food. I 'd like to think I could handle this but no way would I let these boys do it in this dining room with no experience

The taller waiter has a waistcoat that is far too long for the cut of his tailcoat. In white tie, the bottom of the waistcoat should not extend any more than an inch below that cut, if it extends below it at all.

Serve to the right and clear to the right? Is that only in the U.K ?

  • @brianzembic

Ok, I"ve had enough out here. I want to know. Do you serve the plates from the right or left. Yes, this video says from the right and clear from the left. But, a million other videos say the opposite or serve from the right and clear from the left. OMG, isn't there just one source to get the proper answer to this?? One says to serve from the right because they used to wear their swords on the left, so you want to be less of a threat. loll. But if that is true. These days the gun is on the right)

Ok I have a question why you dont use a tablecloth for this kind of service ???? 2 beginers never ever to serve the guest they shoud be used first time to clean the table and also to small and esy operation , I expected more , I am disapoint to dont see a nice white tablecloth on the table .

one thing is paramount in the serving business..whatever you are doing there must be a logic behind it.. trying to look good serving coffee milk etc few items in the same tray is not clever neither looks good.. trolley next to you as well as tray on the trolley (used while serving each individualy ) is has much more logical and proffessional
