Surprisingly quite an accurate picture of private service for hire, although I did notice the lack of gloves while handling items for the table setting, it's usually desired to avoid touching the utensils or napkins (anything that comes into contact with food or the mouth) for hygiene reasons

A young man who wanted to be a butler would of spent a couple of years as a scullery boy and worked his way up to being a footman and then an underbutler and finally he would become a full butler when the current butler retired or an opening for a butler in another household became available and he was seen as being ready for the job.
What kind of bozo puts this much effort in becoming a butler. This is like working hard to be a trash man or a taxi driver. If a young men puts any effort towards something he should not waste it on becoming some ugly hags maid

I thoroughly enjoyed the program. Actually the standards set forth by the seasoned butler should be adopted by everyone. Manners, appearance, style, training, correctness and presentation work! I believe the current generation is too careless, sloppy, and undisciplined overall. If only butler training could be incorporated as a mandatory couse requirement for graduation from high school, I believe society everywhere would benefit.

Champagne is not poured into the center of the glass. Flatware is "laid" with gloves to avoid ANY fingerprints. Pink tie and lapel flower for a butler? One does not wish to be noticed. Flutes are less popular than they used to be and I think that's a good thing indeed.
