You have inspired me to do this for myself. Since the death of my 3 closest family members, I have not treated myself and used my mother's Wedgewood china. I will use it for my breakfast tomorrow. Love to you from Canada 🇨🇦. God bless you. God bless our queen.
Make sure there are no chips or cracks. I don’t mean to be a pain in the bum, but there could be an issue with lead, which has been used in the glaze or the coloured rim on those plates as well as crockery, cutlery. I just use Duralex. I am also sorry you lost your loved ones.
That was hilarious. Using your dachshunds as guest was brilliant 👏. Wringing the bell to be served on time had me fooled. I thought the cereal looked odd, but when you opened the door ta da!🐾🐾🤣 This was such fun to watch...great sense of humor you have.
I just found your channel and it’s such a delight ! Also incredibly helpful. Your dogs are lovely. I’m subscribing . I can’t stop watching your videos. ❤
Just discovered your channel and love it! I find your lessons quite helpful and adore the end of your videos with your doggies, ahem, your Royal Highness’s ❤
I love your professionalism but so simply explained with humour added. But people may believe it or not, sometimes we have to feed and treat the pets of Royals, UHNWF, UHNWI like Lord's & Ladies. I have had to babysit Feelines and Falcons.
Now, this music is gorgeous! Thank you. Just found this on 26th Then...when I saw you with your beautiful Lord and Lady...I was so amused and warmed by your wonderful humour. 🙂
That is a funny bit at the end with the bones and the dogs. Wonderfully done! It a bit of an impractical standard from most people but quite lovely to watch.
Thank you, no one shows this kind of information and YES fruit knives...hard to find (well here in U.S. anyway). This and all of your videos are so enjoyable.
Thank you very much for sharing your expertise in such a delightful and entertaining way. I believe this one is my favourite so far, except for the part when the guests were so hungry they forgot to compliment you on the beautiful china.
Mr. Harrold, as I am suffering mobility issues like Her Majesty, would it be appropriate to use a wheeled cart to bring in tea to my visitors? I can no longer carry large trays and walk! Thank you so much. I sincerely enjoy your lovely you tube videos - we always need reminders to keep our manners in check and I use them to teach my grandsons!!! Thank you!
Lovely content, thank you very much for your teachings. Can you explain the order to have the breakfast? I’m never sure if I start with the juice cold foods (such as juice, fruits and cereal) or with the warm food ( like coffee, tea and toast). Love from Brazil xxx
Beautiful video. Most American silver patterns don't have cereal spoons, although many older patterns have grapefruit spoons. It's possible that if the very old patterns had cereal spoons, no one remembers what they were.
Were perhaps dessert spoons used for cereal? In the United States, dessert spoons in silver sets are about 6.5" to 7" long, proportioned in size slightly larger than a teaspoon (about 6"). Such spoons are now commonly sold as soup spoons in American flatware sets.
Thank you! :-) Supposing one's silverware set offers only two sizes of spoons - soup spoon and tea spoon (I assume ) - what is one to do? And if I ever were so blessed to stay in a grand house with a butler, what would be the proper way to receive the tray? Come to the door, or stay abed? Would a nice dressing gown over presentable nightwear be acceptable, or "have a heart and get dressed first!!" Given my ignorance in such matters, it is a good job that I must see to my own breakfast! ;-)
The King's Daughter in this case use the soup spoon as a tea soon is to small. In a private house you would stay in bed, in your pyjamas or a dressing gown can be worn, if you are already awake. I hope this helps answer your question.
It also depends if you are married or not. A lady who is married will always take a tray in her room. Unmarried ladies have to get dressed and have breakfast in the dinning room. Gentleman will always go down for their breakfast. I also find that silverware no longer comes with soup spoons and these need to be purchased afterwards.
Everything is impeccable and the littles dogs are lords. Thank you. In Brazil it has aristocracy and it is respected in Europe cause it is very old it is portuguese aristocracy. This aristocracy is stifled, hiden because of the growth and enrichment of immigrants, who also helped in the development of our country but the good manners have been lost over the time. I miss the richness of behavior in the past, the simplicity and delicacy that the portuguese families had when dealing with people also cuture and human formation. Today there are no more qualified people to do the butler. I remember my grandmother saying thar she didn't like gloves for the butler cause Rio de Janeiro was very hot and that not everything could be like in Europe.
This is my favorite video of all of yours! It is great and the china is lovely!!! Can you make a breakfast tray that involves warm dishes, such as scrambled eggs AND fruit...how do you keep the plate warm? where do you place the fruit/fruit bowl considering that it is the first course and the warm dish the second one?
Salut! When eating fruit, in this case, an apple, do you peel and cut it first? I'm from a simple working class family, we just bite it, the fruit knife would stay untouched))
Scuse me, but I didn't understand the second plate (lefth) how did you call it and for what is placed there? Thanks for your written explaination (my english is not good)
Ok, since you mentioned that it's difficult to get a fruit knife and fruit fork these days, then what should be the next best utensils to substitute them with? Lastly,. Although you mentioned that you used a "side plate" for spacing, purposes, i noticed you placed the napkin on it. Do i use a plate for the "lazy butler" napkin?
Hilarious! I worked in a 4 star hotel in the US that taught us coffee/tea cup handle always at 5 o'clock. You noted in this video 3 o'clock; which is correct, or most widely accepted? =). Thanks for the fun videos!
What size is the tray that you are using? I cannot seem to fit all of the elements onto the tray I’m using in trying to recreate your arrangement. Wonderful video!
My cat, Chairman Meow, has seen this and is now expecting a royal breakfast tray every morning from his human butler.
I'm guessing chairman Meow doesn't like sparrows
magnus is that you?
does he have a meowgarita with dinner or a moagratita?
You make me giggle so hard when interacting with your pets. This series has been a joy to watch.
The dogs eating the elegance tray of breakfast was awesome. How utterly civilized.....

What wonderful guests!
Thanks you so much to showing us👍👏🙏

That is a funny bit at the end with the bones and the dogs. Wonderfully done! It a bit of an impractical standard from most people but quite lovely to watch.

Thank you Grant, you put a smile in my face in a cold, distant winter (quarantine) morning in Buenos Aires!
Thank you very much for sharing your expertise in such a delightful and entertaining way. I believe this one is my favourite so far, except for the part when the guests were so hungry they forgot to compliment you on the beautiful china.
All I can say,I love it!
Thank you for sharing your beautifully laid breakfast tray and your gorgeous Dachshunds with us Grant! ❤️
Thank you so much! I can use the tips, I just love the formality I love the way you put it together.

The best part of my day! Inspired 👏
Hello from Tennessee! Love your series! Have shared them with all my sweet and proper girlfriends. Sending hugs and blessings from across the pond!
Lovely content, thank you very much for your teachings. Can you explain the order to have the breakfast? I’m never sure if I start with the juice cold foods (such as juice, fruits and cereal) or with the warm food ( like coffee, tea and toast). Love from Brazil xxx
silvia santana you start with the cold foods first then hot
At my local diner I just ask for the short order.. ;-)
Will the warm food somehow stay warm? If not, I guess I would take that first.
silvia santana Cold food ma’am for example the cereal followed by the toast. Orange juice is normal taken first.
@@TheRoyalButler thank you very much to answer me.
Wooow what a beauty
I love your videos thank you for the vid 💕

E Dennis pudding/dessert spoons are what are used today ma’am.
@@TheRoyalButler Thank you very much. I appreciate the reply. 🙋♀️
Very informative..can you please make a video on plates and how to use them
Thank you! :-)

The King's Daughter I would also like to know this
My two cents: When I don't know what spoon to use, I just invite guests whom don't know the difference either. :-D
The King's Daughter in this case use the soup spoon as a tea soon is to small. In a private house you would stay in bed, in your pyjamas or a dressing gown can be worn, if you are already awake. I hope this helps answer your question.
@@TheRoyalButler yes, sir, thank you. Reading Agatha Christie led me to assume this, but I wanted to make sure. :-)

🎶You can eat dog biscuits in my bed, any time, m'Lady🎵

I love the arrangement, but is that all the food for breakfast? I'm not a dog, I want a lot of food.

out of curiosity, is that Heirloom bowl an actual cereal bowl, or their 'fruit' bowl?

Very nice! Question: what are the sizes of the plates used and the overall size of the tray? We yanks need lots of help sorting these things out :) !
