Does crytek wants to further buff it? Cause thats exacly my problem i have with the Uppermat... because you cant 1tap Hunters missing a small bar but it is also 2 Slots... so its a crappier Uppercut you even have to bring Quatermaster for.
@@distract_5871 In the upcoming patch (1.16), the Uppermat is getting a buff from 120 to 126. I don’t know if Crytek has dropped the official patch notes, but various Crytek partners are uploading information from the patch notes.
@@CreeperthanPasta They're both 18rpm... however, I saw that they indeed increased the damage to 126 in this new event. Which tbf, was the biggest problem with this gun. At least it's not strictly worse this way now.
I recently started running Uppermat with a Springfield comp deadeye w/ half explosive ammo. It actually has been doing decent enough. But with the damage buff to Uppermat, and the headshot range extension for explosive ammo, I'll be running it ALOT more now.
The LeFat was incredibly pointless outside of maybe running it solo for more long and shotgun ammo pooling. It was made completely irrelevant by the Upper Precision. Now it'll finally be decent with the extra 6 damage. It'll pair nicely with Flechette C&K for wall pen and one shot potential against a shotgunner holding an angle.
a variant of this loadout i loved pre patch was the uppermat with the spectre compact and dragonbreath. mini flamethrower to bring them into one tap range, and doubles well to burn boddies. very mean when it works great vid btw gg
I have loved the LeMatt family since I started playing hunt. The 9 shots with a backup shotgun has always been super fun and versatile. When they added ammo variants I rocked it with Dragons Breath and FMJ to run a burning duel wield “dump all my shots through a wall” build. When they added the carbine I found myself actually aiming at improving at the game and mastering those 2 taps. When they added the Uppermatt as a medium slot, I tried EVERYTHING under the son with it. Bomblance, Romero-Alamo, Duel Sparks Pistols, Bow, Ect. While this gun has never really been worth it compared to other options I have loved fitting it into literally every single build and having it perform. With the upcoming change from 120-126 damage I am looking forward to seeing a whole bunch more out in the field attached to all kinds of builds. My first one is gonna be Romero-Alamo with DB and stock UpperMatt to get some sweat burnt bars and one taps. Another recommended build that I currently use is Bow with half poison (Hundred Hands) and UpperMatt with Starshell to enable maximum memeage by freeing up all your tool slots for double derringers and Decoys.
15:17 After the fight with the trio, Peebnute says, that she plays "mean". How? She just swapping his weapon for the dead hunters one and back again. I get it, that She burns the body mid fight, that it would be a more "mean" tactic, but that? Still pretty new to hunt, so apologies if I don't get what is going on right there.
uppermat will be so nice, you can burn with dragons breath if you want, higher fire rate then uppercut, or you can just have a great all-rounder with buckshot/slugs. I already loved how it felt to shoot so now it being more competitive will be fantastic
I have loved every lemat ever since playing the game, even before custom ammo I loved it due to countering melee rushes. After custom ammo it became a beast with slugs and fmj helped with the damage but not with accuracy. With the lemat variants went from a guilty pleasure to full on obsession. With the buffs I can't stop playing them, with the 1.16 buff I don't think I'll be playing much else for days.
My only reservation with the UpperMat is that it's two handed. Conceptually I like it, sort of like how I like the Uppercut because I see it as being an in game version of the Colt Walker "Texas Behemoth", but visually I'd have a hard time staying in it if I'm having to hold it with two hands.
Thought the Uppermat was silly (the name didn't help) when it was added but it has grown on me. The triangular front post for the sights makes aiming for headshots easier, and as you said, it being so close to the Sparks for velocity makes it a natural switch. Enjoyed the gameplay :)
I liked the uppermat because of your katama video. Tried the same loadout. Didn’t care it wasn’t meta, I just felt like a samurai cowboy with a powerfull pistol. Also, a plus that it just looks so big and goofy!
Uppmat rise up! The only buff it's missing is giving it a better name (I still think the community suggested "Haymaker" was the best so far, but my friend and I just call it the biggest iron, with the uppercut being bigger iron and trueshot the big iron.)
While might have had some gripe with the cost of the uppermat. The damage I found fair before the change because you get the shotgun and ontop of that they made improvements to the lemat shotgun as well so that it was more reasonable. It being given damage i ain't gonna scoff at but does seem a little head scratching cause now it kinda overlaps cuts the meat out of th uppercut a bit.
Honestly I'm okay with the change even if it starts to step on the uppercut's toes a bit. The uppercut has been objectively one of the best pistols for sooooo long that I'm okay with having something to rival it. Plus I'm sure people will still take the uppercut just because it's single slot
I think that the Pax Trueshot with HV is still better to complement most Shotgun loadouts (including and especially Flechette), even more so if you have Fanning, but the Uppermat having that juicy Long Ammo penetration and option to deliver Slugs ain't bad. Gonna be a different kind of beast with the 1.16 buff (damage will be the same as Uppercut).
*Peebnute, apology accepted* 😅 but I am glad that you were able to experience the full potential of the UpperMat especially in this video! This video was nuts! So much going on yet you were cool, calm, and collective 😎
To be honest. I gave it a chance and I don't know what my problem is with Uppermat, with Sparks I can body tap and make headshots without any problem. But when I took Uppermat it always ended with "Looney Tunes" style to try to hit something. Sooo, for now, I will put Uppermat on a shelf to better days...
Just another thing, for your loadout I think a spectre would have been better since it's a long barrel, plus a lot more ammo to work with and some extra damage I think. Does need bullet grubber tho
@peebnute fair! Then I recommend the terminus for similar reasons except fast fire rate, ammo, and more in the tube. Drawbacks being long reloads, need for trigger control, levering and bullet grubber, iron eye is also useful.
i feel like they also improved its sway alot liked it before the buffs but now especially after 1.16 its gonna be a better option that the uppercut p ^-^
Uppermat is still a crappier Uppercut because it has the same stats as the Uppercut except less damage, but also requires two slots. The +100 MV you get instead doesn't make much of a difference at midrange, the range you probably brought an Uppercut to begin with. So in my opinion the Uppermat needs one of these two changes to make it good; 1: Let it be 1 slot. Now you trade the 1-shot potential of hunters missing a small bar of the Uppercut for the additional shotgun attachment. Now there's a trade-off: Do you want the extra versatility or the extra pressure? 2: Let it stay 2 Slots, but increase the damage to 125 (same as Uppercut). Now you trade 1 additional slot for a shotgun attachment. Now it makes sense to bring Quatermaster because you actually gain something instead of trading something for something else... which negates the cost of bringing Quatermaster to begin with.
@@distakx yeah, i was already wondering... because of other comments down here. But thats basicly what i would have proposed. This way this gun makes sense. The way it is now it is as i described... shitty xD
Uppermat to 126 damage is *huge*. Excited to experiment with the upcoming changes!

I’m not sure? Might just be a weird hunt quirk…
I am slowly getting interested in Hunt again and one of the first loadouts I wanna try is Uppermat with Bow, never being a fan of Quartermaster
