    Hi Russell. Is it better to keep your line of vision in the parallel line with the top barell, or keep it little above, so there is a slight angle between the top barell line and the line of your eye and the front sight? thank you

    • @GoShooting
      @GoShooting  5 месяцев назад

      I always think it’s best straight out over the end of the barrel. The end of your barrel is your “third eye”. You never want to seperate the distance of your eye, end of barrel and target by too much

    Hi Russel, just wondering if you could do a video on shoulder position. There’s some people, like Aaron Heading that project their left shoulder forward, yet other’s like Alipov shoot with very square shoulders. Also some (I think you and Mike diamond do this) lift their right shoulder slightly whereas others like Giovanni Pellielo shoot with a relaxed/ dropped right shoulder. I’m wondering if any of this effects the swing or just what feels comfortable to the shooter. Thanks.

    How much of the top of the rib should one see? In other words, if the pupil is half obscured by the gun, then one would only see the bead. As one raises the pupil, one will see an apparent rib of one-eight of an inch, then one-quarter of an inch, etc.

    Great Video Russell. I do have a question. When looking down the barrel while aiming, should the the rib be seeing flat or should it be seeing like a triangle. Meaning that I can see the grooves traveling to the end of the barrel? Does it make sense?

    • @GoShooting
      @GoShooting  3 года назад +2

      The term you are referring to (if you have a centre bead) is seeing a figure 8. That means the top of the centre bead is seen to touch the bottom of the foresight (end bead). Whilst I would advice you not to look at these beads when you are taking aim at your target, as a training aid, they are great. The term you describe as seeing a triangle is fundamentally correct.

    • @trevilights
      @trevilights 3 года назад

      @@GoShooting Thank you very much for your response. So that figure 8 that you described will be stretched (beads will be separated) if you rise your comb to get a higher POI. Correct?

    • @gregoryschmidt1233
      @gregoryschmidt1233 2 года назад

It drives me nuts when i see shooters cranking their heads over the combe [Stock] keep your head straight and use you nose like a gimble closer too or further away from the stock to get your eye over the centre of the rib then raise your nose higher or lower to get your eye down on the rib. a pound coin with the front bead floating does the job. that's how i teach and it gets results.
