    Made the hood scoop on my 66 GTO functional and regretted it real soon. Engine compartment soon became filthy and was a constant problem.

    Love these cars. The only thing I don't like is the bigger trans tunnel and straight shift lever. I know it's necessary to fit the 6 speed under there, but it would be really cool it looked more like the original set-up with the bent shifter. Just my nitpicky $.02.

    Fyi...the most valuable of the non R GT350 cars are the '65's that were left over and rebadged as '66's...so they have the rear qtr panel windows and side scoops but they also have the real welded in traction bars that they stopped doing after '65. Nicely done, but not a fan of that big tach sitting in the middle of view. Dig those sideview mirrors! Love that pointed end. Manufactured or done in-house? Also, are those A/C vents OEM or after matket? I could see those working nicely on my current project. Have to say those dual-injector Coyote enginees are absolutely the pinnacle in IC engine design - gold-medal standard in power. My '67 Mustang's clutch return spring was a HD unit that took a three foot pry bar to attach it under dash and took an easy 50+ pounds of pressure to push in. I added a slave cylinder/throw-out bearing from a Mustang 2 - what a difference!

      I think it’s registered as a 2020 Revology just like how other replica cars. That means if you were to register it in California then it would have to get smog. I think it would be better to just do a vin swap which is illegal but it’s not like the DMV is gonna find out unless you tell them.

    Wonderful car but they could have installed the rear license plate properly. More importantly, the rubber intake tube coming off the air filter housing is rubbing against the plastic radiator fan shroud. The heat and vibration will eventually cause that to rub through. Just saying.

    Nice pseudo replica but certainly not a "reproduction". Are there any original Ford or factory-spec parts in this car? Tail lights maybe? It appears Revology has strayed way too far from the original car, other than looks. Ditching the OEM spring loaded self supporting hood hinges for a modern el cheapo support rod is a sacrilege. And the modernized dash also looks cheap as well as the horrible choice of carpet. I'd also much rather have correctly shaped period style seats with "ugly" classic vinyl than what Revology has included. It also looks like the transmission hump is way too high and square shaped. On the outside, other than the modern wheels, the car looks fantastic. I bet it even drives much better than the original, so it ain't all bad... other than the price. OUCH wonder what happens when you have a minor, or worse, fender bender. Hmmm... how long to wait for a replacement fender or hood or door or bumper or ????

    • @joeytacey743
      @joeytacey743 4 года назад +3

      My guess is that it has a six-speed transmission which means they would have to enlarge the transmission hump, which is why the hump looks big an square

    • @Chris03121957
      @Chris03121957 4 года назад +7

      Sorry, but what an ignorant comment. To save weight, the GT350 has a fiberglass hood from Shelby which necessitated removing the springs from the hinges and installing hood pins and a prop rod. You whine about it not being more "original", then criticize a totally original feature. Also, as far as I know they get all the bodies from Dynacorn so all the sheet metal is factory Ford correct and available next day if you're willing to pay the freight. As far as straying from the original car goes...THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT! A car that appears original, but with all the power, handling and convenience of a modern car.
