  • Hey everyone and welcome to the Granny Cape! I have decided to make this a made to measure pattern as I think it’s great being able to grab any kind of yarn from your stash and just get straight to it. I will provide measurements that you can work towards, or you can go rogue and make the cape as long or as wide as you wish! There is also a video tutorial to help you on your way!
    The tutorial is in US TERMS and is perfect for an adventurous beginner. It really is the perfect mindless project!
    Here are a few links of some of the things that I used during this tutorial. These are affiliate links so if you purchase through them I will get a little of bit of commission to go towards my small business.

    How did I miss your cuppa tea all these years? Just my kind. Your intro with summary of the whole project & construction before starting the work, is so Certified as True Educational Tutorial. I'm a granny. Are you also one? You have the exact sense of humor & goofiness I've been looking for in a BFF. Been wanting to have 4-5 goofy friends in a compound of individual cottages (repurposed retired airplane, bus, train car, shipping containers). At the end of the day, share meals, glass of wine & lots of laughs. 💖🌹🌺💐

    Hi Kelly, can you tell me how many skeins you used of your Carnival Colour yarn? The patter says you used 600gr. This yarn at Hobbi says a skein has 100gr or 240m in length. If you used 6 skeins I can compute the yardage I need. Thanks! Sssshhh! I'm making one for me and a Birthday gift for my best friend. We've been besties for nearly 50 yrs! More like close sisters now.

    • @CraftandaCuppa
      @CraftandaCuppa  2 дня назад

      @@sandykelley7431 hi! I didn't actually count how many skeins I used but I would suggest to get a little bit extra just to be on the safe side as we all crochet with different tensions 🥰

  • @judalea17

    it occurred to me that to avoid the halves of the back not matching, only add the front sections before seaming the top back (along the granny square) then work the back across the entire width
    also, without wanting to cause a fight, this shape of garment may be better described as a ruana

    • @CraftandaCuppa
      @CraftandaCuppa  20 дней назад

      Yes that's another way of doing it, altough I do really like the drape that the back panels create along the seam 🥰

      Hi it's in one size and the only yarn I have made it in is Hobbii carnival which is classed as Aran weight but I would say it's more similar to DK. The yarn Est is in the written description of the video but if you chose to make adjustments then obviously you may need more yarn! 🥰
